The Buinho Residency program is designed for individuals from diverse creative and research backgrounds. Located in the scenic Alentejo region of Southern Portugal, Buinho’s creative hub was established with the invaluable support of a curatorial team boasting over a decade of experience organizing and facilitating various residency initiatives across Portugal. Since its inception in 2016, Buinho has experienced remarkable growth in the number of applications it receives, solidifying its reputation as a highly sought-after artistic residency program. Today, Buinho stands as a prominent European beacon in the realm of artistic residencies due to its unique affiliation with the Fablab, which amplifies creative experimentation opportunities.

The Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors is hosted annually in August and September by View in Old Forge, NY. The exhibition is open to all artists working in water-based media. This includes transparent and opaque watercolors, casein, egg tempera, gouache, acrylic and ink.

The third edition of the Tokyo Biennale is themed "Shall we ‘Sanpo’?” and explores various ways of “Sanpo” – a concept that embraces walking, wandering around, and discovering new perspectives through movement. The “SOCIAL DIVE” AIR OPEN CALL PROGRAM is now calling for projects from around the world to explore this theme of ‘Sanpo’. The mission is to dive into Tokyo (the city) and engage deeply with society (people). “SOCIAL DIVE” involves artists diving into the different areas of Tokyo as part of an art project aimed at discovering both the unique traditions, as well as new values held by the people who live there.

“Are you a friend of Dorothy?” is a queer camp-themed show embodying the energy of queer safe havens/oases, including (but not limited to) Fire Island, Palm Springs, Saugatuck/Douglas MI, Val Kill, etc. It serves as a heartfelt reflection on the complex tapestry of summer and summer camp experiences that may have shaped queer youth, whether boldly out or quietly finding a way. This show invites you to fully embrace and express your authentic self with all the fierceness and love that comes with being gay.

The human body is a popular subject for many reasons, the most obvious being that it is everyone. Throughout history (and prehistory) the representation of the human form has been charged with tremendous energy. Whether it be a religious edict that one should not depict the human form—a taboo, or the glorious opposite—a revelation of mastery over form in the crafting of sensuous and life-like physical human beauty, the art of the body has moved humans through time. Through all the permutations art has experienced across history, work of the body persists. The human nude is used to master skill, understand one self, and push social and psychological buttons for the sake of expression.

Melbourne is more than just a city—it’s a collection of stories, neighborhoods, and natural landscapes that hold personal meaning for those who live and create in Melbourne. This exhibition welcomes artists to showcase works inspired by: City & Suburban Life, Personal Landmarks, Natural Beauty (the Yarra River, beaches, gardens, and bushland that define the city’s environment), and Cultural Connections – How different communities shape and interact with their surroundings.

In 2007, the Flint Print Club was established at the FIA, its mission to develop connoisseurship among its members and educate the general public about prints and printmaking. Each year the FPC commissions an artist to produce a print to augment both the FIA’s collection and the pursuit of personal collecting. In 2024 the Club evolved to better align with the value's of the museum and the diverse community it serves, with special interest in collaborating with emerging and mid-career artists. In this pursuit, the FIA launched a Call for Entry for the first time in the Club’s history, seeking new voices in printmaking to bring their craft and creativity to Flint. 2025 marks the 2nd annual call.

A residency spot has become available at Hakoniemi Residency for the following periods: March 14–March 30, 2025: The entire house (also suitable for families or workgroups). April 1–April 27, 2025: A smaller room. Artists applying individually can also extend their residency period by combining these dates. Founded in 2019 in Oravisalo, Rääkkylä, Hakoniemi residency is a peaceful and inspiring working environment, located and inspired by the beautiful lake-side nature of Northern Saimaa archipelago. They would like to offer a residency place for sustainable work plans of different kinds, and an interest to the natural environment.

Exterior, public-facing site near a busy intersection. The goal of this mural project is to improve a retaining wall at the southwest corner of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Swope Parkway. This is the former location of Neighborhoods and Housing Department offices.

The retaining wall measures approximately 20’ high x 130’ wide. The city will prep and prime the wall to receive a mural. 2-5 semifinalist artists will be asked to advance to the RFP phase and propose designs. Semifinalists will be paid a design proposal stipend of $1,000.

The Yéigo Action Grant provides support for the growing landscape of Native artists and culture bearers who need financial assistance with a professional development opportunity or towards a hardship that is hindering their creative practice. This program offers grants between $100 and $5,000 for individual Native artists and culture bearers. First Peoples Fund (FPF) finds it essential to support artists in their times of need, especially when their work is impacted by sudden hardship. This grant’s name incorporates the Diné word yéigo, often used as a phrase of encouragement that can mean “keep going” or “don’t give up.”

In an era of rapid transformation, from digital revolutions to migration and environmental change, artists play a critical role in interpreting and redefining identity. The 6th Tamworth Textile Triennial builds on the tradition of the Tamworth Fibre Textile exhibitions which first began in 1973. They offer a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment for creatives to come and spend time in their Cortijo in the Andalucían mountains. They provide a large, light, communal studio, a ceramics workshops and woodworking and metalworking tools. Each of the 5 bedrooms, spread across 3 floors, also have their own dedicated workspace. The Cortijo is set within 2 acres of land, which residents are also free to roam; they are sure you will find much tranquility and inspiration here, providing you with all that you need for a new body of work, research project or indeed, make new friends and develop your international network.

The five-week hybrid residency will engage 12 visual artists whose artistic practice includes land-based themes, environmental sustainability, Indigenous narratives of the land, and/or use of natural materials. Artists can apply with a personal project to explore, experiment and research, or complete their final project work. The online portion equips artists to arrive on campus ready to create in a supportive environment with access to a studio and Visual Arts facilities. The residency features workshops, on-the-land engagement, faculty guidance, knowledge exchange centered on integrating Indigenous ways of knowing into the artistic process and the opportunity to showcase works at Open Studios.

The Southern Arts Recovery Fund provides financial support to artists residing in the FEMA disaster areas of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia; impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Artists working in craft/traditional arts, design, literary, media/film, performing, visual, and interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary arts may apply for a grant to replace supplies and equipment lost due to the hurricanes. This opportunity is open to professional artists 18 years or older whose artistic practice generates any portion of their income. This recovery grant is for individual artists only.

ALA Art Prize was started in 2021 with the aim of supporting, enhancing, and promoting contemporary artists. Through a free open call, artists are invited to create an original site-specific project for ALA’s premises, a not-white cube which will get them to interact with the work environment and its community, thus establishing a space for discussion between art, business and contemporary creativity. The awarded artwork will become part of the permanent art collection housed in the headquarters of the Company, within the Teatro Mediterraneo of Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples.


The historic Providence Art Club invites artists from throughout the United States to apply for its popular National Open Juried Exhibition. Open to works in all media, this show will be juried by Dr. Jane Dini, Curator of Exhibitions at the Norman Rockwell Museum. $6,000 in prizes will be awarded. Entries are due by May 8.

Since 1993, Fundación Botín has awarded Art Grants each year, aimed at artists of any nationality.
