This year's Annual Spring Juried Exhibition, titled “ZING', seeks traditional and unusual artworks inspired by positive energy. Beth Gersh Nešić, visiting juror and independent curator, invites artists to submit works that celebrate joy, positivity, excitement, good energy, and humor. This “ZING” should communicate directly to the viewer through color, line, form, composition, and/or content. It should move hearts and minds viscerally, intellectually, cognitively, and/or spiritually. Kind and original humor is welcome. Artists are encouraged to explore diverse mediums, including everyday found objects to create works that challenge and intrigue. Abstract and representational artworks in 2D and 3D formats, including select installations will enrich the exhibition.

Fibers of My Being is an exhibition focusing on the intersection of fiber art and mental health wellness. Fiber art can be therapeutic- allowing the practitioner to slow down, enter a flow state, and calm their nervous system. Fiber art has continually been incorporated into community, connection, and protest. Artists are invited to submit work reflecting on mental health, belonging, and well-being. Fibers of My Being will be curated by Chloe Russell-Chang. All submissions must include fibers or textiles. Sculpture, installation, wearable art, as well as hanging and floor works will all be considered. Work must have been completed in the past 5 years. Notification Date: April 11th. In celebration of Print Center New York’s 25 year history of platforming guest curators, they invite emerging and early-career curators to submit letters of interest for exhibition opportunities beginning in 2028. Through this curatorial open call—the first in their organization’s history—they aim to identify promising voices and areas of research that are pushing their field forward, and to accelerate professional opportunities for curators who are building the print exhibition and scholarship of tomorrow.

The “Mentors and Guiding Hands” is an in-person juried exhibition at the Visual and Performing Arts Center (VAPA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. This exhibition seeks to celebrate the profound impact of mentors and the helping hands that shape personal and professional journeys. Whether it is a teacher, a family member, a friend, a community servant or leader, mentors play a crucial role in fostering growth, inspiration, and support. All works must first be juried into the show and then judged with cash prizes offered for first through third place. The 18th Annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition invites African American fiber artists across the nation to explore the theme "In Praise of the Ancestors." This exhibition honors legends of the African diaspora and personal family histories, celebrating the sacrifices and accomplishments that brought us to where we are today. Curated by Torreah “Cookie” Washington, the exhibition is a component of the 2025 North Charleston Arts Fest. Artists may submit up to four entries, with a maximum of two selected per artist. Printmakers from throughout Australia are being invited to respond to the theme of what HABITAT means to them. Explore the beauty of these precious eco systems, suburban, industrial, and other built landscapes. Where are there points of intersection, separation, and union? They have been purposefully open in their explanation of the theme, so you have enormous freedom to drive your own imaginative interpretation. Be bold in your response. You can respond playfully, thoughtfully, or radically through the mediums of printmaking. All finalist works will be eligible for selection in the $500 People’s Choice Award. Entries are due midnight 7 April 2025. You will be notified of your inclusion in the exhibition no later than Monday 14 April 2025.

For this exhibition, they seek photographs that embody the spirit of dreaming—images that are deeply personal, ethereal, mysterious, or even unsettling. They invite work that captures the blurred line between reality and fiction, bringing forth the magic, wonder, and complexity of the mind’s eye. All photographic processes and interpretations are welcome, from surreal digital composites to dreamlike film captures and abstract experimental works.

The juror will select up to 35 images for exhibition in their Middlebury, Vermont gallery and another 40 images for their Online Gallery. All 75 images will be reproduced in the exhibition catalog and remain permanently on their website, and be promoted on social media with links to photographer’s URL.

The Dome House and the Miller Art Museum are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Dome House Al & Mickey Quinlan Artist Residency, a unique opportunity for Midwest visual artists to immerse themselves in the creative landscape of Door County, Wisconsin. The program offers an 8-week residency in the twin-lobed, domed concrete structure known as the ‘Dome House,’ an iconic earth home nestled in the dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan. The artist will dedicate at least five hours per week to public outreach activities, which can be on or off-site. From workshops to artist talks and exciting programming, these events offer invaluable opportunities to foster meaningful dialogue between the artist, residents, and visitors alike.

In 2024, the RTAA completed major upgrades to the Loop Road at RNO, ensuring a safer, more accessible, and smoother experience for all passengers. The project included significant infrastructure improvements to both the inner and outer travel lanes, adding new safety features, meeting ADA compliance standards, and providing a more comfortable drop-off and pick-up experience. This is an Open Call for artists, designers, and craftspeople to apply for the semester long Windgate Artist in Residence program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s School of Art and Design. The Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists (WFF HSG) provides grants of $30,000, distributed over three years, to NYC-based visual artists in need who are seeking support for stable housing. In its inaugural cycle, the WFF HSG will award grants to five artists. The WFF Housing Stability Grant for Artists is offered in recognition of the increasing unaffordability of rental housing in New York City, and the housing insecurity it creates for artists. Its goal is to improve artists’ housing stability, through a $30,000 grant that is distributed over three years. The WFF HSG hopes that recipients will be able to remain in, or find, reliable and stable housing for at least three years, thereby allowing them to focus on their creative practice and build more sustainable careers.

FAT is a radical act of visibility. This exhibition unapologetically reclaims fatness as something to be honored, not erased. Unapologetically owning and identifying with the word “fat” as an act of liberation and acknowledgment, rejecting diet culture and instead honoring fatness as a life source. The Fishbowl invites artists to share work that celebrates fat bodies, confronts the realities of fat oppression, and reimagines a world where fat people exist freely and joyfully.

The Artist in Residence Program at the MCC aims to enhance and further the educational experience of early career, ceramic artists seeking recognition in the professional realm. Residents are comprised of individuals with primarily Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees who are interested in working in a shared studio setting to continue their progression as a ceramic artist. The exhibition is inspired by bell hooks’ All About Love: New Visions and her introspection surrounding love. The show calls for artists to submit work that displays living in and with love. Red Willow Art celebrates World Art Day with a call for entry to an international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists (18 years or older) worldwide are invited to participate, with freedom in choosing their medium and style. Submissions should revolve around “Bringing Beauty to the World!”

Fringe Arts Bar invites submissions for ‘Urban Biophilia ~ Your Sanctuary’ where the healing power of nature will be brought inside, just for a moment… Varied forms of art will be used to create an immersive experience for visitors to engage with, honour and pledge their commitment to help heal the planet. The curation will also offer visitors a sanctuary, where they can relax, regain balance and enhance their wellbeing. If selected, they ask Artists for a £22 contribution (like crowdfunding) and/or to give some of their time, as they are all volunteers.

And Still it Remains: A Long COVID Exhibition, was conceptualized by an RN/artist who is a Long COVID survivor. They are using this exhibition to bring more public and medical awareness to Long COVID and create a sense of community among Long COVID survivors. 2020 changed the course of many people’s lives in the US and around the world with the devastating COVID-19 pandemic. Long COVID or long-haul COVID is a group of health problems persisting or developing after an initial period of COVID-19 infection. Many artists and creatives have been affected by this. So with the opportunity to create artwork about their experiences, they welcome those who have been affected by Long COVID or who are still living with it, to apply to this exhibition.

The Wrangell Mountains Residency Program aims to support artists of all genres, writers, and inquiring minds. Their organization and community will provide a unique and rustic workspace located in the heart of the nation’s largest national park. They invite applicants with creative and inquisitive minds who will both add to and benefit from the interdisciplinary efforts at their community hub in McCarthy, Alaska and the surrounding Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. Artists and writers of all genres and stages in their career are encouraged to apply for our two-week residency. Alaska Native artists, artists from the global majority, artists who are underrepresented and/or marginalized are especially encouraged to apply. They encourage emerging and mid-level career voices as well as mature professionals.

The Alexey von Schlippe Gallery at the University of Connecticut Avery Point (AVS Gallery) seeks proposals for sculpture/installations, video works/projections, or light-based works for Open Air 2025. The works will be exhibited on the grounds of the University of Connecticut Avery Point campus from June 5 -October 6, 2025, with an opening reception for the public on June 5. Their goal is to assemble a dynamic set of artworks—some visible by day, some after nightfall. Artists must install and deinstall their artwork, using their own tools or materials. A modest budget for installation will be provided by AVS Gallery.

The Wildflower Sculpture Park at South Mountain Conservancy, in partnership with the Essex County Parks Department, invites artists to submit proposals for its 2025 outdoor exhibition. This unique opportunity allows artists to create and display large-scale, nature-inspired sculptures within South Mountain Reservation, a 2,110-acre public preserve in Essex County, NJ, visited by thousands each year. The theme for 2025 is “Walk With Me.” Artists are encouraged to explore themes of renewal and environmental harmony while emphasizing the visitor’s journey into and through the Wildflower & Forest Preserve, as well as the larger Reservation.
