In 2026, Canberra Contemporary is thrilled to offer one paid exhibition opportunity for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander-led project through their inaugural Platform First Peoples Program. They invite applications from First Nations artists, curators, and artist collectives working across any contemporary visual arts practice. They strongly encourage proposals that reflect diverse voices and experimental approaches, and that engage meaningfully with the context of Platform as a critical, community-engaged, and artist-led space.

Spokane Colleges is honored to introduce Round 2 of the sƛ̓x̣etkʷ Artist-in-Residence Program through the Fine Art Department at Spokane Falls Community College. The fully funded annual  three-month residency will provide state of the art studio space within the newly constructed sƛ̓x̣etkʷ Fine and Applied Arts building to an emerging Native American (NA) artist who is a documented descendent and/or enrolled member of a US Federally Recognized Tribe (FRT) with priority given to Tribes of the Pacific Northwest. The selected artist will explore creative expression through educational and professional development opportunities that connect them  with students and  the wider  Spokane community for the duration of the winter academic quarter January 5- March 26, 2026.

They invite artists to submit work for dislocated, a group exhibition exploring themes of unease, displacement, and disconnection. This exhibition examines what it means to be uprooted—whether from a physical place, a sense of belonging, or within one’s own body. They seek work that reflects on instability, transition, and transformation, confronting the fractures in identity, memory, and space. The exhibition will examine these ideas through a variety of mediums in art. Any mediums are welcome, including but not limited to sculpture, painting, collage, photography, digital art, video art, installation, ceramics, performance art…anything you can think of!

The City of Saratoga invites artists from across the country to participate in the City of Saratoga’s On Loan Program, bringing dynamic public art to prominent locations in Saratoga, California.

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at ARTS Southeast, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, the district’s main thoroughfare, allowing the artist’s work to be on view to the community at all times. Visitors and passersby on the sidewalk witness the artist's process as it unfolds in real time, seeing all the steps involved from concept to final execution. The ON::View Residency supports artists from across the globe, working in all media.

The Granbury Cultural Arts Commission is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity to showcase your creativity! They’re seeking original art submissions for a stunning mosaic installation on the exterior windows of the historic Granbury Opera House. They’re looking for vibrant, text-free artwork that celebrates the essence of Granbury—its rich history, natural beauty, and charming flora. The selected design will be adapted into three and six mosaic window panels, creating a lasting visual tribute to their beloved community.

The Art in Public Places Program enriches New Mexico's public spaces through an innovative and diverse public art collection. Since its inception in 1986, the program has placed more than 2,500 works of art in all of New Mexico's 33 counties. Through a fair and open public process, local and regional selection committees work with New Mexico Arts to select artwork for their communities. The Art in Public Places Program also commissions large-scale projects that are designed for integration directly into the architecture of a building, or purchases existing original artworks to be placed in public buildings.

Waverley Artist Studios are for emerging, mid-career and professional artists interested in working within Bondi and the greater Eastern suburbs area. Successful applicants are expected to participate in a compulsory open studio event in the second last month of their occupancy. Coos Art Museum invites artists, curators, and creative visionaries from across the western United States to submit proposals for exhibitions scheduled in 2027–2028. They are seeking bold ideas that resonate: projects that spark dialogue, ripple outward, and leave lasting impressions on their community and beyond.

The Athenaeum Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia exhibits visual arts created solely by artists living or working in the region and strives to present visitors with a wide variety of excellent art and unique experiences. In addition to the shows curated by the Gallery Director, the Athenaeum Gallery invites artists and curators to submit show proposals.

The Queens Museum (QM) is pleased to launch its seventh QM-Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists in New York City. Two visual artists will receive $20,000 each, professional development consultations, and close mentorship from QM staff members working toward an artist’s project. The fellowships will culminate in solo project exhibitions at the Queens Museum in 2027. The duration of each fellowship is one year, culminating with the opening of the fellow’s exhibition.

The Tyler School of Art and Architecture invites applications for a spring 2026 residency in the Art Department, which encompasses undergraduate and graduate programs in Ceramics, Fibers and Material Studies, Glass, Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. The residency duration is flexible, ranging from one to five months, and will be scheduled within the spring 2026 semester (January–May 2026) based on the selected artist’s availability.

As part of a traffic calming initiative, the City of Palmdale has replaced the four-way stops at 10th Street East with roundabouts. The primary goal of traffic calming is to enhance the livability and vitality of residential and commercial areas by improving safety, mobility, and comfort for non-motorists. To further enrich the environment and transform the urban landscape, two sculptures by the same artist will be installed in the newly constructed roundabouts. Applications are open to artists residing in the State of California.

The City of San Ramon invites artists of all ages and stages of their artistic journey that meet the minimum required body of work (10), to apply to exhibit. This Call will furnish the City’s galleries with month long exhibits during the 2026 calendar year, with the exception of the San Ramon Library, which hosts exhibits on a bimonthly schedule.

The competition is open for the following categories: ceramics, enamel, glass, metals, mixed media, textile, and wood. Entries must not exceed 108 inches in any direction and/or 150 pounds. No entry that requires the artist to be present for moving or assembly will be accepted. Any work suspected to have been created through the use of generative AI is subject to rejection. No photography permitted. Any artist residing in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, or Tennessee may enter. All work must be original and completed within the last three years, and not previously exhibited in the Mid-States Craft Exhibition or at the Evansville Museum.

The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking up to two artists or artist team to conceptualize, fabricate, and install two newly-commissioned sculptures, one each for two newly-constructed roundabouts at Southwest Paar Drive and Southwest Darwin ("Paar/Darwin Site") Boulevard and the roundabout at Southwest Paar Drive and Southwest Savona Boulevard ("Paar/Savona Site"). Construction is projected for completion in late 2026. In alignment with Port St. Lucie's public art plan, sculpture for both roundabouts should reflect the character of Port St. Lucie and enhance the City's visual landscape. Specific goals for sculpture at the new roundabouts include:

-Express Port St. Lucieʼs identity
-Offer a visually stimulating, transformative, and inspiring experience
-Enhance traffic and pedestrian safety
-Enliven the built environment

This annual challenge pushes artists to refine and often redefine their work. With the goal of making a complete artwork every day for a month, past artists have found fresh insight about their practice and established new methods of approaching art making. To enter, they are looking for 3 samples of your existing artwork that reflects the kind of work you intend on exploring during the challenge. The longest running portrait prize in South Australia, the Prospect Portrait Prize is a non-acquisitive juried exhibition of contemporary portraits in any medium. Prize winners will be chosen from those works selected for exhibition in the 13th Prospect Portrait Prize 2025, with a prize pool over $6,000. Portrait artworks can be in any visual medium such as sculpture, digital media, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, textiles, ceramic, glass, performance, video/film or multi-media (sound and written word can be included). Kherson Park (307 West Gowe Street) includes a Lunar Rover replica, a life-sized astronaut, Lunar Lander and Mission Control play elements, and a large wall with projection capabilities. The Arts Commission provides artistic content for the projection component by showcasing artwork from digital/video media artists. One large screen (approximately 30’ x 20’) located on the side of a building facing south toward Gowe Street is visible to the public from Kent-Kherson Park, as well as the sidewalks and streets at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Gowe Street. Works are displayed in rotation during presentation hours, generally dusk to 11 p.m. daily. Each selected artist will receive a $500 honorarium to help defray related expenses.
