The Volunteer Photographer Program is a community outreach project of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Archive. The mission of the program is to provide documentation of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell for the Foundation Archive. The Festival is held at the Fair Grounds Race Course at 1751 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans, LA.

The Colored Pencil Society of America proudly presents Explore This! 22, the prestigious annual online juried international exhibition which celebrates the creativity achieved by combining colored pencil with other media or alternative drawing supports. Entries must be predominantly colored pencil.

Sebastopol Center for the Arts Ceramics Artist in Residence program is designed to invite exceptional ceramicists to experiment with themes and ideas in a self-directed setting. This 6-week residency program offers the space to create a cohesive body of work in a collaborative community. In addition to opportunities to lead two classes or workshops, artist talk, and opportunity to support emerging artists in the Incubator program, the program culminates with a gallery exhibition at the end of the residency period.

They invite artists working in the medium of quilt making to submit work for the inaugural Fine Arts Quilts exhibition celebrating the artistic and expressive potential of quilts. This juried show seeks quilts that demonstrate originality, strong design and the visual impact of fine art–beauty for its own sake. Whether abstract or representational, minimalist or intricate, entries should showcase quilting as a serious art form. Traditional techniques are welcome if presented in innovative ways. All entries must be original compositions and may include mixed media, surface design, or unconventional materials. Best of Show may be presented the opportunity to have a future solo show at the Loewen Studio & Gallery.

Artist Grant has supported artists worldwide since 2017 by providing an unrestricted $1,200 grant to one artist three times each year. Deadlines are March 15, July 15, and November 15. Visual artists 18 years of age and older from anywhere in the world, working in any media (excluding film/video, music, theater, and dance) may apply.

TIDAL ArtS launches a new residency call offering €50,000 grants to artists or collectives for site-based residencies in four distinctive European aquatic regions: Venice, the Azores, Turku Archipelago, and the Danube. Selected artists will have time, space, and local support to develop ambitious works inspired by oceans, rivers, basins, and ecological relationships. The call encourages proposals that bridge art, environment, and community, exploring place, water, and human/nonhuman entanglements.

The Chihuly Collection is seeking entries for a juried exhibition specifically for artists working in the medium of neon glass. This is a national exhibition, and any artist age 18 or older living in the US is eligible. The purpose of this show is to draw a connection to Dale Chihuly’s Blue Neon Tumbleweed in the Collection, and to amplify the voices of artists who utilize this engaging medium in their practices.

The Nature Photography Contest has 10 categories for you to submit your images of natural landscapes, wildlife, macrophotography and more. You can win cash prizes and international recognition. The winner of the best photograph of the year will receive €1000, the winner of each category will receive €100 and the best photographer of the year will receive a trophy. In addition, for each participant, a tree will be planted in the country chosen by the winner.

DRWC invites national and international artists to submit proposals for flag designs that delve into Philadelphia's history as a central immigration hub in the United States.

This theme encourages artists to investigate the diverse narratives, cultures, and contributions of immigrant communities that have shaped the city's identity over the years. Flags should embody the spirit of resilience experienced by those who have immigrated to Philadelphia, highlighting stories of hope, change, and interconnectedness. Artists are encouraged to explore a variety of interpretations, drawing inspiration from historical events, cultural traditions, and personal stories that reflect the immigrant experience in the city. While the final flags will be digitally printed, artists can submit high-quality images of physical artwork to represent their visions.

The Small Mural Mentor Program will pair an experienced mural artist with four adult mentees from the Antelope Valley area to collaboratively design and install a mural at Pelona Vista Park. The park spans 30 acres and features ten lighted soccer fields, a fitness court, and a one-mile walking path. It serves as a vibrant hub for youth and adult soccer leagues and community recreation. This call for entry seeks four adult mentees, prioritizing emerging artists with limited or no mural experience. The mentorship includes up to six workshops led by the artist mentor at a City-selected location, plus hands-on guidance during installation.

The call is open to photographers, video artists and designers who want to confront this theme through works that explore revelation as a visual, narrative, symbolic or emotional act, capable of suggesting, denouncing, moving, or simply provoking thought. The collective exhibition "Revelations" will investigate the concept of revelation as a moment of truth, insight or unveiling. At a time when appearance often subdues substance, to reveal means to go beyond, to bare, to bring light into shadow. Group Exhibition in Rome. February 2026.

The Kindling Fund awards project grants ranging from $3,000 - $7,000 (with smaller Research and Development Grants) to Maine-based artists of all career levels, who organize projects that engage audiences and the visual arts in inventive and meaningful ways. The Kindling Fund values and uplifts artistic collaboration (or collaboration with community), applicants seeking support at the $5500-$7000 must have at least one stated core collaborator. In the context of this grant, the visual arts is defined as broadly as possible and includes: photography, video, non-traditional performance, ceramics, earth works, drawing, bookmaking, weaving, crafts, installations, painting, mail art, printmaking, basketry, sculpture, text art or calligraphy, social-engagement, participatory or community driven projects, glass, non-commercial fields of design, and the alternative spaces, artistic collectives, art writing, and artistic platforms that support that work.

The University of Victoria & Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park Artist Scholar Residency was created by an interinstitutional partnership and their unwavering belief in cultivating the arts. This Residency is for artists and scholars seeking space to focus on creating a work for exhibition or publication that is informed by their investigation of Rubinoff’s work and their experience working at the sculpture park.

Site:Brooklyn Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting the current practice of contemporary artists. They are taking Site:Brooklyn online with a new series of interactive exhibitions. The goal remains the same, to connect artists with an expert and diverse set of jurors through the open call format. The new program focuses on online open call exhibitions, selected by a cast of new jurors, solo artist features, and spotlights. Site:Brooklyn is looking for works across all mediums that show why color is a choice rather than a necessity in art.

The Victorian Artists Society announces 2025 Major Prize $17,000, the Hylton Mackley Artist of the Year Award. VAS invites new and existing members to enter the VAS Seasonal Select Exhibitions and be eligible for peer selection into this prestigious Artist of the Year Award. Artists must be a 2025 VAS Member and exhibit in at least 2 of their 3 seasonal shows to be eligible for peer vote into the Artist of the Year Exhibition. Each seasonal show also has its own $1500 prize: Autumn (27 March-13 April), Winter (17 July-7 August), Spring (4-21 September). Finalists will be invited to submit up to 3 works for the Artist of the Year Exhibition, 19 November-14 December.

The New Bedford Art Museum presents Synergies: Hybrid Art, a juried exhibition inviting submissions from artists working in all media. This call seeks works that merge artistic disciplines, materials, and technologies to create innovative forms of expression. Synergies: Hybrid Art is open to artists internationally. The exhibition is juried by Amy Lemaire & Nicolas Touron, an artist duo based in Brooklyn, NY, whose collaborative practice explores materiality, form, and the intersection of natural and constructed environments. Working across diverse media, their work bridges the disciplines of sculpture, glass, and installation, creating immersive visual narratives that challenge perception and engage the senses.

Applications for ACRE Summer Residency Program open until November 18! The 14-day residencies host 20-25 artists per session. They support visual artists, sound artists, musicians, performers, writers, community makers, curators, and administrators, ACRE provides artists with the opportunity to expand upon their individual practices and foster generative relationships within a collaborative community. Set on 1,000 acres of wetland, hills, and farmland, the residency facilities include expansive communal work-spaces, a screen-printing studio, an outdoor wood shop, fibers studio, ceramics studio, an art & tech facility, and a sound studio. Shared accommodations are furnished with bathrooms, kitchenettes, and porches.Two meals and a continental breakfast are provided, and are prepared daily using ingredients grown in the surrounding area.

The Art of Landscape is a photography exhibition that expands the definition of “landscape” beyond pastoral views and natural vistas. The exhibition invites photographers whose work includes and traverses the realm between the natural and the built, the monumental and the ephemeral. The result is a visual exploration of one's relationship to time and place and how humanity is transformed by the environments one inhabits.

The Art of Landscape is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. ​​​​​​​All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative photographic processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.

The main goal of the YICCA competition is to promote participating artists, offering them the opportunity to actively engage in the international contemporary art scene. International exposure and networking are the key strengths of YICCA, making this competition an exceptional opportunity for growth and visibility for the selected artists. YICCA thus serves not only as a prestigious platform but also as a springboard for artists wishing to gain recognition in the global contemporary art world, furthering their careers in a highly qualified international context.

The Don Bachardy Fellowship offers one gifted and dedicated post-graduate international artist the opportunity to join the Royal Drawing School in London for one term. The Fellow will spend 3 full days a week for ten weeks drawing alongside students on the school’s Drawing Year as well as students on the public programme courses. Artists are also provided with a shared studio space, mentoring sessions, tutorials and the opportunity to attend the school’s lecture series. To assist with travel and accommodation costs the artist is awarded a stipend of $5,000.

Every Home is a public art project commissioned by Public Art Matters on behalf of Taylor Wimpey. The commission will be amongst the first in a series of new cultural commissions for the Former Wisley Airfield, a major new housing development in the parish of Ockham, Surrey. They invite applications from artists, craftspersons and collectives with experience of creating durable outdoor artworks. The commission consists of a new numeral to be displayed outside each new residence in the development and will include public engagement.

Whether through improvisation, accident, or deliberate experimentation, artists discover new possibilities when they let materials lead the way. Serious Play is a call for art that invites contemporary makers to celebrate curiosity, risk, and discovery in their creative process. Works might emerge from playful gestures, unconventional techniques, or unexpected combinations of media. They may highlight moments of chance or simply revel in the tactile pleasure of material engagement. This exhibition seeks craft that embodies exploration—where the making is as important as the finished form, and where materials are collaborators as much as tools.

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Bristol Art Museum invites artists from across the country to submit works on paper for our annual national call for art. As part of the town of Bristol's commemorative celebrations, this exhibition will reflect on the enduring words of the Declaration of Independence. Working in any medium on paper or of paper, from drawing, painting, and printmaking to collage, photography, or experimental forms, Bristol Art Museum welcome interpretations that are bold, intimate, reflective, or challenging. Paper, like the documents that have historically recorded our past, serves as both a material and metaphor—a space for declaration, protest, remembrance, and hope.
