Philip Frey and Schoodic Institute are pleased to offer a plein air painting retreat designed specifically for dedicated landscape painters. This retreat will provide an opportunity for participants to hone their skills, gain deeper knowledge of materials, and develop confidence in their creative abilities. Each day will start early with an on-site painting session, followed by an early afternoon demonstration and critique. Participants will have ample time to engage in painting, explore the surrounding area, or relax at their leisure. Meals and a daily cocktail hour will be provided in a communal setting, fostering social interaction among fellow artists.

The Working Artist Project (WAP) is a year-long fellowship program facilitated by The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA). The program was created by MOCA GA to champion established visual artists of merit who are based in the Atlanta metropolitan region. Each year, a guest curator selects three of our best and brightest to receive a solo exhibition, promotion, a studio apprentice (in support of emerging artists in the Atlanta Community), a full-color catalogue, and a $15,000 stipend to create work over the course of the year.

The Town of Ashland, Virginia, invites artists or artist teams to submit proposals for the design, fabrication, and installation of functional public artwork at the northern trailhead of the Fall Line Trail. This project is a collaboration between the Ashland Parks & Recreation Committee and the Public Art Commission. The selected piece will serve as both seating and signage while embodying the themes of Ashland’s identity and the Fall Line Trail.

Business for the Arts Broward (BFA) is partnering with Florida Purchasing Agency on a mural mentorship for their building. The mural mentorship project in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL aims to create a vibrant and visually striking mural under the guidance of Lead Artist Lori Pratico in partnership with BFA, funded by Wayne and Lucretia Weiner, Florida Purchasing Agency and BBX Capital. Lori Pratico brings over 30 years of experience and creativity to the initiative. This collaborative endeavor will involve five mentee artists, providing them with the opportunity to build their mural skills and gain valuable insights into the process of creating murals. Throughout the project, the mentees will work closely with Lori Pratico, their mentor, participating in brainstorming sessions, design development, and the execution of the mural itself.

The Dover Prize is a biennial award that supports opportunity and experimentation in the visual arts. Open to UK-based visual artists, partnerships and small collectives, the Prize offers a £10,000 bursary paid across two years to provide space and time to think, research, reflect and/or experiment with new ideas. A final work must premiere in Darlington, with support available to help the successful applicant identify a suitable location or venue.

Heartland Art Club is proud to announce RepreSENSATIONAL 2025, a national exhibition celebrating the finest in representational art from across the United States. 2025 marks the 29th presentation of the Parkside National Print Exhibition over thirty years since the first show opened at UW-Parkside. For three decades, the PNPE has shown some of the finest examples of original prints from artists nationwide. It is one of the longest-running competitive print exhibitions in the Midwest; founded at UW-Parkside in 1987 by printmaking professor Doug DeVinny. This tradition continues without size limitations in the Emile H. Mathis Gallery in the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts & Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The exhibition will take place Aug 19- Nov 21, 2025, including a public reception, announcement of awards, and juror’s remarks on Wed, Sep 10, 4-6 PM. A full-color catalog will accompany this exhibition.

Get ready to bring your zaniest, spookiest ideas to life! They’re calling all artists to apply for a fully funded 1-5 week residency to participate in the 2025 Wassaic Project Haunted Mill! The Haunted Mill will be open to the public 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on October 24th, October 25th, and October 26th, 2025.

Haunted Mill artists will have access to housing in one of their residency houses for 1 - 5 weeks between October 1st to November 3rd, 2025, private studio space in Maxon Mills, and additional space in the Luther Barn. They’re offering $500 - $800 honorariums (depending on the scope of the project) to participating artists and artistic teams for your hard work and creativity.

Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) is seeking 10 artists to participate in the 2025 Plein Air Festival as “Select Artists” based on the merit of their portfolio.

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the Sculpture at the Kavanagh exhibit to be held at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles, Illinois. The show is open to any 3-D work in any sculpture or craft medium. No paintings, photographs, or other 2-D work will be accepted. The Fine Line Creative Arts Center is located in the Fox River Valley, approximately one hour west of Chicago, Illinois.

The purpose of this call is to develop a pre-qualified list of mosaic artists for potential public art projects within the Town of Addison.
Scope of Potential Projects:
• Large and small mosaic panels designed for outdoor walls or building facades.
• 2D and 3D mosaic sculptures of animals, flora, trees, or other landscape features for placement along trails or within parks
• An initial project is for a 3-section wall approximately 6 ft. high (the “Initial Project”). Each wall section is approximately 8 ft. wide with an available area of up to 4 ft. x 5 ft. for each mosaic panel. There is a pond, walking path and landscape area near the wall. Selected artists would have the discretion to propose designs appropriate for each panel.

A leading Arts Residency program in Western Australia, offering a unique opportunity for artists to develop work that engages thoughtfully with the land. With a specific focus on site-responsive projects, the Residency provides an immersive space for creative inquiry, fostering connections between the artist(s), environment, and community. It supports artists who are committed to rigorous research, experimentation, and dialogue—encouraging new ways of thinking about land and the relationship to it. The Artist in Residence program welcomes applications from Australian and international artists whose work engages with place, environment, and materiality. Proposals should demonstrate originality, thoughtful site responsivity, and a commitment to creating meaningful discourse about land and our connection to it.

This community audience driven initiative seeks to support new creative collaborations by providing micro funding to help kick start your project. In the Creative Kitchen, the audience has the power, so make sure you bring you fan club and your creative ideas along to this fun networking evening! On the night, artists will pitch and the audience will vote. The vote will determine who is awarded $1000 to push their idea towards realisation. This fun networking opportunity aims to get creative juices cooking. The bar will be open (so you can buy influence with voters) and any donations made on the night will also be given to the winner. Pop it in your diary and pop on your thinking caps. Technical experimentation, recordings, mural painting, community workshops, art events, live performances – nothing is off the table.

In Cahoots Residency provides housing and studio space to both emerging and professional artists with a focus on artists books, letterpress, printmaking, writing and collaboration. The residency hosts from 3 to 5 artists for sessions ranging from one to three weeks long. Residents are provided housing: 3 full guest houses (with kitchens and full bathrooms), and 2 summer sleeping cottages (with a shared kitchen and full bathroom). Residents have 24-hour access to the shared visual art studios or the individual writing studio. Residents do their own cooking. For those without a car, rides to the grocery store/supply store and weekly group field trips (to places such as downtown Petaluma or the Pacific coast) are provided free of charge.

The Wassaic Project accepts proposals for their 2026 Residency program, which includes the Winter Residency program (Jan – April 2026) and the Summer Residency program (June – September 2026). This call is for individual artists, collaborative teams, groups of two or more individual artists, and artists applying through their Family Residency program. The residency fee is $900 (the fee is per artist/collab group/artist team/family). The fees cover: semi-private studio space(s), private room in a shared house (our Family program receives a private house), access to our wood shop, print shop, and kiln, staff support, and programming such as their visiting artist program, artist talks, studio visits, open studios, artist presentations, etc.

The Artist in Residence (AIR) program awards fully sponsored residencies to approximately 50 local, national, and international artists each year. Residencies of four to ten weeks include studio space, chef-prepared meals, housing, travel and living expenses. AIRs become part of a dynamic community of artists participating in Headlands’ other programs, allowing for exchange and collaborative relationships to develop within the artist community on campus. Artists selected for this program are at all career stages and work in all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, installation, fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, dance, music, interdisciplinary, social practice, arts professions, and architecture.

Film London and Arts Council England present The FLAMIN Fellowship, a major development programme for early-career artist filmmakers living in England. Part of Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN), the Fellowship aims to support the most exciting, innovative and challenging moving image practices, with development and £2,500 funding for new work.

The City of Tamarac, Florida is seeking to commission an artist or artist team to design seven (7) sculptural benches to be located at the City’s Sportsplex located at 9901 N.W. 77 Street, Tamarac, Florida 33321. The benches should serve both functional and artistic purposes and incorporate the city’s brand and various sports themes. Three artists /artist teams will be selected as semi-finalists to develop and present design proposals. Each will receive a $1,500 stipend. The winning artist will be awarded a $50,000 contract to include permitting, artist fees, production, materials, insurance, travel, delivery, and other incidental expenses. Deadline: June 3, 2025

The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) exhibition, in its 52nd year, is presented by Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) in Evergreen, Colorado. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States and is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country. This show traditionally offers more than $10,000 in cash awards.

"Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs and the Public Art Review Board invite artists to submit work – existing or conceptual – for the 11th annual Sculpture on the Lawn exhibition, an outdoor display featured at the entrance to the Orange County Administration Center in the heart of downtown Orlando, Florida.

Sculpture on the Lawn is open to experienced professional sculptors as well as students and emerging artists who specialize in the design, construction, and installation of outdoor sculptures. Up to four sculptures will be selected for display from January 2026 to January 2027."

Emerging artists are invited to apply for the 2025 British Ceramics Biennial Fresh exhibition, taking place in Stoke-on-Trent. Each exhibitor will receive a £300 exhibition payment and £50 towards the transportation of the work to and from the exhibition venue. The Fresh Talent Prizes seek to recognise artists of significant emerging talent exhibiting in Fresh. Four early-career artists will be awarded a Fresh Talent Prize, comprising a cash award and a residency through partnerships with Guldagergaard International Ceramics Research Center in Denmark, Grymsdyke Farm in Buckinghamshire, University of Staffordshire and the BCB Studio, both of which are based in Stoke-on-Trent. Fresh Talent Prize winners are also invited to show their work at the next Biennial, taking place in autumn 2027.

Over the past two years, Artville has awarded over $320,000 to more than 50 artists to create temporary public art, gallery programs, activations and immersive experiences in Nashville as part of its first city-wide art festival. Brashnar Artist-in-Residence (BAiR) is an artist owned and operated urban artist residency program located in the neighborhood Hrom on the west side of Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. BAiR is a multi-faceted residency program allowing resident artists the freedom to explore the potentials of their practice while experiencing Macedonian culture through group related activities. As an artist led project, Brashnar Creative Project aims to directly influence the process of decentralization of the arts and culture in Skopje. While residing at BAiR, residents live in an open, communal style environment situated in a family-oriented neighborhood. During their residency, residents are encouraged to embrace the local culture and to engage the surrounding community while living at the Art House.

The Greater Augusta Arts Council, on behalf of Augusta University, is requesting proposals from qualified sculptors or artist teams to create a unique, durable, low-maintenance, safe to touch sculpture. This will be placed on the grounds of the Augusta University Summerville Campus. Artists are asked to conceive sculptures symbolizing innovation and community. The sculpture is intended to last for 50 years minimum in good condition. Selected artists will receive a stipend of $15,000 to cover all expenses associated with the envisioning, creation, transport, insurance and installation of the sculpture, and any and all other expenses the artist might encounter, including a concrete pad if needed.

In its sixteenth year, this annual acquisitive award and exhibition is organised by the Art Collection and Galleries Unit at Deakin University. The award celebrates contemporary sculpture with an exhibition of finalists’ work at the Deakin University Art Gallery. A fascinating snapshot of contemporary Australian sculpture.

Salem Art Association (SAA) invites artists to apply for and participate in the 76th annual Salem Art Fair & Festival in 2025. This honored 76-year-old event is one of the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest and draws artists from around the country. The Salem Art Fair has an outstanding reputation among participants and visitors alike, attracting 19,000 attendees annually. Salem Art Fair & Festival is held in the heart of Salem, Oregon in Bush’s Pasture Park. The 100-acre park is home to a historic white oak grove. The park’s standing as a community gathering space makes this an ideal setting to celebrate creativity and showcase art.

Art Fluent’s grant cycle is now open to individual artists through an international open call. The Evolution Grant will provide unrestricted funding to an individual artist with recognized artistic excellence in fine art media and a demonstrated commitment to their art.

It represents the tranquility of the sea, the vast open horizons of the sky and the still hours before dawn.Blue often symbolizes both serenity and stability, sadness and longing and the depths of human emotion. Blue is a complicated color of polarities, a color or a state of mind. This is a juried show and is offered to Bay Area (Northern California) artists in ten counties.

Enter your made-from-paper 2D or 3D artwork during the month of June 2025. The artwork for Paper Made II must be made primarily from paper or a paper product or created using a paper-making process. Juried selections will be featured in the fall 2025 issue of Fiber Art Now and will be eligible for the on-site exhibition at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art in Fort Wayne, Indiana, November 8, 2025 through February 1, 2026.

The Trenton Artwalk Project is a collaboration between Artworks, the City of Trenton, and the New Jersey Department of Transportation. This project is dedicated to improving and beautifying the pedestrian/cycling route between the Trenton Transit Center and Downtown Trenton. The “Artwalk Corridor” is the series of sidewalks, crosswalks and the Route 1 underpass between the train/light rail station and Stockton Street. Images are provided on the next page. The intention of the project is to add a safe and beautiful walking/biking route from a major transit hub to the heart of downtown. This call focuses on a large mural on the wall of the Route 1 underpass.

Art Through The Lens 2025 is open to all without restrictions on content. It provides photographers an outlet for their art, encouragement for growth in their vision and presentation and cash rewards for works of exceptional merit. Each year from the works submitted, 50-70 images are selected for exhibition by a highly qualified juror. $1,000 in cash awards will be given to works of high merit. Art Through The Lens 2025 will be on display from July 29th – September 13th.
