FishTank Workshop & Gallery is seeking applicants for its 25/26 free studio residency in Kings Cross. They are looking for motivated individuals who want to develop their work, connect with others, and help build a supportive creative community. FishTank aims to create a welcoming entry point into the arts by building bridges with the wider community/youth projects/arts organisations.

Arts Letters & Numbers is a year-round Artist Residency providing a creative sanctuary in the historic Faith Mills Complex in rural Upstate New York. The residency fosters an environment of creative urgency and collaboration, offering inspiring spaces like a warm Victorian home, a white barn, and textile mills turned into studios, all surrounded by woods, lakes, and opportunities for connection. Residents have the freedom to shape their workspace and rhythms while engaging in shared meals, bonfire conversations, and community programming, including open studios, workshops, exhibitions, and more. With seasonal residencies lasting 1 to 12 weeks, the program welcomes artists to explore their work and contribute to the inclusive dialogue through proposed projects such as performances or lectures.

The Studio Workspace Residency is an opportunity for artists to create new work and fully immerse themselves in WSW’s supportive environment. They invite applications from artists at any stage of their careers. This residency gives artists the gift of time, an uninterrupted period to live and work away from the stresses of daily life-- while artists are still responsible for their own travel, materials, meals, and other personal incidentals while in residence, WSW provides housing and studio space at no cost. Artists receive a thorough studio orientation and are expected to work independently, although studio staff is available to provide assistance. Deep technical assistance can be arranged for an additional fee.

This 2-week program includes 8 hours of instruction in Day of the Dead ephemeral art techniques, including paper, installation, and the edible dimension of the altar; as well as an exploration of José Guadalupe Posada’s imagery. Participants will have the opportunity to join guided tours and visits to prominent museums in Puebla, altars, graveyards, or relevant sites. Alongside these artistic endeavors, attendees will engage in 20 hours of Spanish language lessons, divided into 8 hours of grammar, 6 hours of conversation practice, and 6 hours of immersive on-site language practice. They will also embark on food tours, a total of 4-hours, to savor the culinary delights of the region and spend 6 hours on academic visits to museums, altars, graveyards, and other relevant sites. Furthermore, participants will benefit from 2 hours of artistic mentoring sessions. Activities are designed to promote intense creative work and artistic dialogue; therefore, artists are expected to allocate self-directed studio hours as part of their weekly schedule.

Young Sculptors, U.S. residents, ages 25 – 35 as of competition entry are invited to participate in a biennial juried competition for the 2025 $10, 000 William and Dorothy Yeck Award. Entrants should have achieved a significant degree of success as an emerging artist of noteworthy talent. The winner will become part of the Miami University Yeck Collection of 21 st Century Painting and Sculpture.

Prairie Ronde Artist Residency offers artists from a range of disciplines a 5 – 6 week residency in the historic Village of Vicksburg, Michigan. Offering a unique environment for our artists to develop their craft: the 420,000 square foot former Lee Paper Company mill and its adjacent 80 acres of property. Prairie Ronde is hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg, a redevelopment project of the former Lee Paper Company mill, whose extensive and ongoing plans focus on sustainability. The goal is to bring artists into the space to engage with The Mill’s historic legacy and its monumental transformation.

Small Works is a national juried show of artwork no more than 24” in its largest dimension (including frame). All media are eligible except jewelry, film/video. All entries are judged from digital files. One $30 nonrefundable fee entitles each artist to submit up to three entries. Purchase awards may be available for accepted work. Accepted artists may be selected for a solo show at Harper College. A color catalog will be published in conjunction with the exhibition.

Chapel Arts Studios are delighted to announce this year’s open call Wish You Were Here.

Applications are now open! This year they are asking you to reflect with a theme of remembrance. Your artwork could be inspired by a memory of a person or a place, a recollection of something past or present, or simply a feeling of nostalgia, but it is entirely up to your personal interpretation - what does memory mean to you?

OPEN OPEN 2025: Wish You Were Here will be on display at The Chapel Gallery from Thursday 3 July until Saturday 26 July. The gallery is free to visit, and will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am - 4pm.

Artists can submit up to 2 artworks for £15, and £10 for a third entry. There is a concession for CAS Associate Artists: £10 for up to 2 artworks, and £5 for a third entry. (You can submit a maximum of 3 artworks). All artists must be over the age of 16.

The deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 16 June.

The Ferrara Showman Gallery invites artists worldwide to submit works for the 29th Annual NO DEAD ARTISTS International Juried Exhibition. This exhibition aims to showcase emerging talents in contemporary art, providing a platform for artists to gain recognition and gallery representation. Selected works will be exhibited from late August through mid-October 2025, with opening receptions coinciding with the Arts District New Orleans’ First Saturday Gallery Openings in September and October. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a solo exhibition at the gallery in the following year.

The Emerging New Media Artists Programme is a supported one-year programme of theoretical engagement, creative production and technical training for emerging artists working in New Media and Digital Art. Developed in collaboration with Le Fresnoy - Studio National des Arts Contemporains, the programme offers participants access to cutting-edge technology, production facilities, and mentorship from leading international artists and scholars.

The programme is designed for artists who are 35 years or younger, at graduate or postgraduate completion stage, with experience in New Media and Digital Art. Over the course of the year, participants will explore themes such as AI, virtual and augmented reality, sound, cinema and digital archives, culminating in a final curated exhibition at DAF.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their “Summer 5 for $10” 2025 Online Art Competition.

For this competition, all 2D and 3D artists, from around the world, are called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion into the Gallery’s “Summer 5 for $10” online group art exhibition.

This is an “Open” (No Theme) art competition and the gallery invites artists, regardless of where they reside, to apply to this competition by submitting their best representational and/or abstract art.

The artwork for this competition does NOT need to be “Summer” themed. Any subject matter and any media are acceptable for consideration.

The In Between Gallery is a temporary exhibition platform for Fabrica’s picture window in central Brighton. This exciting initiative is now in its eighth year. Fabrica is partnering with Spectrum Photographic, Photo Fringe and Jane & Jeremy to present excellent photographic work by UK-based artists who consider themselves to be early to mid-career. The image would be exhibited from December 2025 – April 2026, though may be occasionally removed for very short periods around Fabrica’s venue hire commitments.

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize is an annual open exhibition dedicated to drawing. The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize and exhibition has an established reputation for its commitment to promoting excellence in, and celebrating the breadth of, contemporary drawing practice. This open exhibition is a platform for drawing practitioners to showcase their work alongside other leading contemporary artists and makers in the field. The exhibition launches in London and tours widely in the UK. In offering emerging, mid-career and established artists and makers an influential platform to exhibit their drawings, this long standing exhibition project has developed new insights into the role and value of drawing in creative practice today. The exhibition is selected from a submission of original artworks by an annually appointed Selection Panel.

The Art Selection Committee is seeking public artwork that marks the transition from a historic, tree-lined neighborhood into the vibrant urban environment of the NEON District, while also inviting and signifying the entrance to the Fusion apartment complex. They invite artists to create a bold, unexpected installation that challenges conventional outdoor sculpture formats. Rather than a static piece on a pedestal, they envision artwork that flows and interacts with the space—perhaps wrapping around a corner, climbing a building, or extending into the surroundings. The installation should be dynamic, lively, and thought-provoking, embodying creativity in its most fluid and experimental form.

Giertz Gallery at Parkland College seeks exhibition proposals by solo artists, collaborative groups, or curators in all genres of contemporary approaches to art-making. Preference will be given to artists with an established exhibition record. Giertz Gallery is a professionally designed gallery devoted primarily to education through contemporary art. It hosts seven exhibitions annually, including one student exhibition, one Art and Design Faculty Show, and a National Invitational. Other shows vary depending on applications and the vision of the Director and Advisory Board.

Giertz Gallery is more than just an exhibition space. It's a dynamic platform that brings contemporary art to the forefront. Our teaching gallery hosts programs featuring professional artists, allowing faculty to use the gallery as an instructional resource. This setup benefits our students and the community, who get to experience the artwork firsthand, and the artists, who can share their creative process and artistic journey. 

Submitting a proposal to Giertz Gallery is a simple and straightforward process. Our exhibits run for approximately six weeks, and the artist is responsible for expenses and insurance during the artwork's transportation to the gallery. We provide return shipping or an honorarium to cover return travel expenses. Additionally, we offer an honorarium for participating in visiting artist activities such as lectures, gallery talks, and workshops. To apply, please submit 20 images (including at least one installation image if possible), a list of titles, sizes, dates, and media, a resume or CV with an exhibition record, and an artist statement related to this body of work. The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) Mural Program is an initiative dedicated to revitalizing the community by transforming blank walls into meaningful works of art. Through this program, the FPRA funds the installation of murals on eligible properties within the designated redevelopment area. This program aims to reduce slum and blight, foster civic pride, and provide a platform for artistic expression while improving the overall aesthetic of the city. The FPRA invites qualified muralists to apply for this public art commission, which is the installation of murals within the PAD and downtown. Murals will be installed on private property in partnership with their respective owners. Properties available for mural installations: 601 Atlantic Ave and 130 N. 2nd St.

ArtsFairfax, in partnership with the Mount Vernon District Office, Fairfax County, seeks an artist or artist team to design, fabricate, and install a permanent sculpture at the Lorton Police Station and Animal Shelter that will signal the site’s offering of hospitality, safety, and community engagement. This location offers visibility and a unique opportunity to create impactful public art that will represent a point of pride at a high traffic Fairfax County facility.

River Arts, Inc. invites artists from around the nation to participate in a juried exhibit depicting their definition of wings and/or water. Examples of this may include works of birds, insects, fish, animals, rivers, etc or abstract representations thereof. Juror: Melanie Tallmadge Sainz. Awards: $500 Best of Show, $150 2nd Place, $75 Honorable Mention (2) and $50 People’s Choice.

This call asks artists to consider where they belong, where does their spirit feel at home. How does their artwork represent the feeling of home? All submitted works must be created by the hand of the artist, including- but not limited to: silver gelatin; platinum/palladium; albumen; cyanotype; gum bichromate; wet-plate collodion; photo gravure; carbon; vandyke brown; traditional printmaking; instant transfers and lifts, hand-manipulated (altered surface) digital prints, and other alternative and historic printing processes. Combinations of these processes are welcome. The use of digital negatives in creating these processes is acceptable, although straight inkjet (digital) prints and AI-derived works are not eligible. All entries must be hand-made prints made by the artist and created in the last 4 years.

The City of Redmond's Commission for Art in Public Places (RCAPP) invites artists/artist teams to submit proposals to install a painted mural in downtown Redmond. The mural will be located at 224 SW 6th Street, Redmond, OR 97756. The mural must be on the 6th Street façade, but the artist may choose to extend the mural to the Black Butte façade. The project budget is inclusive of all project phases. If the mural is solely on 6th Street, the total amount of the project budget will be $18,000. If the mural is on both 6th Street and Black Butte, the total project amount will be $25,000.

The City of Waco, TX and Creative Waco seek an artist to create a durable metal sculpture honoring the courage and service of Waco firefighters at the new Fire Station #4. The artwork should anchor the new station as a civic landmark and photogenic point of pride.

Announcing the inaugural "Echo, Passage, Tide" international competition and virtual exhibition. The Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art Internships are offered in the spring, summer, and fall terms to students who have not yet completed their degrees, or who have graduated within the past six months. Summer internships are accompanied by a $6,500 stipend, based on a full-time, ten-week schedule. Pro-rated stipends may be available for part-time internships, which are available during the academic year and, in some cases, during the summer.
