Since its inception in 2001, the Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award has become a significant national award dedicated to celebrating and elevating the significance of work on paper. The Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award promotes excellence and innovation in the field of art on paper while supporting and encouraging artists who specialise in this medium. With a total prize pool of $26,000, the Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award recognises outstanding artworks created with, on, or about paper. Artforms can include, but are not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media and video.

The Cicek Artist Prize is an annual program hosted by Cicek Gallery, dedicated to discovering and celebrating emerging artists from all backgrounds. The International Exhibition on Animals in Art ran for 28 years before it was put on hiatus due to building renovations and then the pandemic. But they brought it back in 2022. Animals in Art celebrates animals. Pieces must depict an animal (fish and insects are considered animals for the purposes of this exhibition). Any work that is determined not to meet the spirit of the exhibit will not be accepted. The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is one of only 33 veterinary schools in the U.S. and the only one in Louisiana. LSU Vet Med is dedicated to improving and protecting the lives of animals and people through superior education, transformational research, and compassionate care.

The City of Mühlhausen invites artists to creatively reinterpret its historic old town through light art, projections, and videomapping — as part of the 2025 commemorative program "freiheyt 1525 – 500 Years of the Peasants’ War". The RAi Residency returns for its second edition — a 12-week programme designed to support artists, curators, and theorists in developing their practice within a studio environment. The residency offers a chance to connect, collaborate, and expand one’s oeuvre through engagement with local communities and institutions. RAi hosts four residents at a time: three artists and one curator or theorist. Emerging artists, curators, and theorists aged 25–40 working in the visual arts, including digital, traditional, new media, video, and photography.

The Water and Rock Art House is in the beautiful and historical stone, mountain village of Kazaviti on the island of Thasos in the North Aegean in Greece. The residency is open to artists, writers, researchers and scientists who work with the themes of nature as well as to yoga practioners who want to work on their self practice. They want to bring awareness to the beauty and importance of the fauna and flora of the island in an aim to build a greater sense of interdependence. Fusion Art announces the Lines, Shapes & Objects 2025 Art Competition.

The Soon Art Studio Artist Residency Program in Vienna, Austria, is designed to support both emerging and established artists by providing them with a dedicated space to create and showcase their work. Artists can choose from 2, 3, or 4-week residencies, during which they will have the opportunity to focus on their artistic practice in an inspiring environment. The residencies range from 2 weeks (€650), 3 weeks (€850), and 4 weeks (€1250). Each residency will require the artists to secure their spot by signing our residency agreement and a deposit of €200.

The McLean County Arts Center is excited to announce an open call for submissions for their upcoming exhibition, "That's Funny". They are looking for work that has wit, irony, and humor. Carolinas Rehabilitation is looking for local and regional artists (North and South Carolina) to submit pieces to be hung in their newly renovated, high-traffic space. Since 2022, Sedona Arts Center has determined an overarching theme for each year’s exhibits and programs. For the 2025-2026 season, the theme will be FACE. When thinking of the word, FACE, people think of many things. The word FACE can be a noun or a verb and connotes many things. People first think of a person or animal’s actual face – that shows expression or emotion. It could also be the outward aspect of something or the surface or an object, cliff or mountain, building or watch. As a verb, the word takes on motion – as to face something or point in a specific direction or to confront or deal with a situation.

Street Photography takes many forms and this call looks to provide an updated look at this exciting and often challenging form of photography. This is a chance to explore the world today, to present a largely unscripted reaction to what you see, what you experience and what captures your attention. They want to see the world from your perspective, from what’s outside your front door to what’s happening Downtown and everything in-between. They are looking to celebrate the chance encounters, the random incidents and the challenge of capturing meaningful images without the preplanning or cooperation of models. Work from photographers engaged in long-term projects, and exploring social documentary projects are also welcome.

The Art in Public Places program enriches New Mexico's public spaces through an innovative and diverse art collection. Since its inception in 1986, the program has placed more than 2,500 artworks in all of New Mexico's 33 counties. Their goal is to reflect the diversity of the arts in New Mexico, the Southwest, and the nation while building a dynamic public art collection for the State of New Mexico. The objective of the Large-Scale Purchase Initiative is to diversify the state's public art collection by purchasing artwork from artists at all stages of their career. All media in all genres, suitable for both interior and exterior display, will be considered. Artwork must be durable, permanent, low-maintenance, and in compliance with ADA guidelines upon installation.

Hotel ACTUAL will be a small-scale contemporary art fair in which the rooms of a hotel will be transformed into exhibition spaces, each one intervened by selected artists. The initiative, part of the ACTUAL 2026 Festival programme, aims to open a space for the art market in La Rioja by offering a platform where artistic creation, innovation, and dialogue with the public converge. Blue Space Gallery presents the 4th "Open Theme" international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their medium and style. All subjects and themes are welcome. Entry is free; only those artists whose submissions are chosen as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their artwork showcased in the online exhibition and will advance to the final jurying round in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000. Awards will be granted to those whose work demonstrates the greatest level of creativity and artistry.

The City of Flagstaff is seeking statements of qualifications (“SOQs”) from artists or artist teams to create a 3D artwork to be installed in the center of the Switzer Canyon roundabout located at the intersection of N. Switzer Canyon Drive and N. Turquoise Drive. The City of Flagstaff, through its Beautification and Public Art Commission (BPAC), advocates for the beautification, arts and sciences in Flagstaff and supports this project. This is an opportunity to contextualize, design, fabricate and install artwork within the project scope. An initial design services contract will be offered to the selected artist. Once City of Flagstaff approvals are met and all design documents created, the selected artist will be offered a second contract for fabrication and installation of the artwork.

VisArts invites applications and proposals from local, national, and international artists for one of two six-month residencies at their studios in Rockville, Maryland. Studio space is provided free of charge. Artists receive a $3,000 stipend. Gibbs Street Artists in Residence present their work in culminating solo exhibitions. The Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists is an annual $10,000 grant awarded to provide critical support to Black trans women whose work has often been under-recognized in the visual art field. Now in its 5th year, the Illuminations Grant was developed and named in partnership with Mariette Pathy Allen, Aaryn Lang, and Serena Jara. Winning artists and finalists will receive additional professional development resources and further guidance to bolster their creative development in the field.

Art Ability is dedicated to creating community awareness of cognitive and physical disabilities, encouraging people with disabilities to reach beyond their limitations and find fulfillment and inspiration through art. Art Ability provides positive role models for people with disabilities while increasing their access to the arts. The program successfully develops new markets for artists with disabilities where they can gain recognition for their technical skill and artistic vision. The annual exhibit and sale will be on display at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania, from November 9, 2025 to February 1, 2026 and will be open to the public during the hospital's visiting hours. The event will kick off with a ticketed preview party and fundraising dinner on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Open to all U.S. artists 18 years of age or older working in any media. Work must be original work, executed within the past three years, and entry cannot be work that has previously been exhibited at Wilson Arts. Entry in this exhibit establishes an agreement on the part of the artist to all conditions listed in the prospectus and is a contract to exhibit entries selected by the juror.

Sarratt Gallery at Vanderbilt University is pleased to announce this call for Celebrating American Craft 2025.

This exhibit is open to all professional craft based artists that are 18 years and older and residing in the United States. All work must be original designs from the artist. All craft art made with clay, metals, wood, fiber arts, and glass will be considered. Works may range from functional to sculptural and should be made primarily of one of the craft mediums. The jury panel will be tasked with finding the best examples of each medium and for strengths in techniques as well as creative expression.
