This project, led by the Office of Governor Polis, is a visionary project connecting the Capitol Complex to Lincoln Veterans Park in Denver, CO. UAB/Birmingham Museum of Art Fellows are graduate students in the Art History department at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, who have already developed an area of concentration within their studies. The Fellowship gives students the opportunity to spend one year working in the Curatorial department at the Museum. It is designed to provide in-depth experience in the workings of a museum and in the nature of curatorial work. Fellows are assigned specific projects and duties based on the needs of the department and work directly with the Museum’s Curatorial staff. The UAB/BMA Curatorial Fellowship begins and ends in August of each year.

A narrative thread braids a story together, creating cohesion and building tension. Events, characters, and themes are woven together through a beginning, middle, and end. What story will your artwork tell us? A fantasy, a tragedy, or perhaps…a romance? They welcome a broad interpretation of the theme. All varieties of fiber artists are encouraged to apply. Show dates are May 15th - June 20th. The opening reception is May 17th, 1 - 3pm. AiR Hamsa has now evolved into fonduq.essaouira, with a different, and more unique location. Fonduq is an ancient hostelry, an inn for the camel caravans coming to the port of Mogador, now Essaouira, from across the Sahara in Mali and beyond. They are situated in the ancient Medina, in the fascinating labyrinth that thrives inside the walls. Essaouira is known for its music with the famous Gnaoua festival, and for its visual arts in particular. There are also many crafts and artisanal workshops where things are still made by hand. It is inspiring for many disciplines, and they have hosted musicians, writers, mosaicists, painters and installation artists.

Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis. Awards consist of 24/7 use of a private studio, free programming at Manifest Drawing Center, teaching consideration, public exposure, free entry to Manifest calls for entry, potential inclusion in a final showcase exhibit and end of season Manifest Exhibition Annual publication, as well as the presentation of a public artist talk at or near the conclusion of the Residency. Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR) is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 which brings lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex and queer identifying emerging visual artists to Fire Island— a place long-steeped in LGBTQ history— to create, commune, rest, reflect and contribute to the location's rich artistic history. Each summer FIAR provides free live/work space to visual artists who work, socialize, and immerse themselves in the Fire Island community for four weeks, during which time they are visited by renowned artists and scholars, who interact with residents through intimate studio visits, dinners, and discussions, providing support and feedback. The greater Fire Island community, as well as visitors from New York City and Long Island, are invited to attend free public lectures by these esteemed guests.

Because CWA does not own a gallery, each of their three annual exhibitions are held in different noteworthy Connecticut art venues. They are looking for art that creates a positive and welcome distraction for their patients and visitors.
This is a busy lobby and connects to their flagship hospital. The campus is 4 million square feet. The Yavapai College Art Gallery in Prescott, Arizona seeks solo-exhibition proposals for its occasional series One Gallery/Two Exhibitions. All mediums will be considered. The YC Visual Arts Department Gallery Committee will select two exhibition proposals, and both solo exhibitions will be featured at Yavapai College’s Prescott Campus Art Gallery from June 11 to August 25, 2025. Each artist will fill about half of their 2,332 square feet of exhibition space (1792 sq/ft of gallery space with a 540 sq/ft movable wall system). The exhibitions will be separated with distinctive titles, labels, lettering and signage. The public exhibition at the YC Prescott Campus Gallery will include a joint opening reception and artist talks, as well as online and print-media promotion.

The goal of the 2025 Macon Mural Festival (MMF) is to brand Macon, GA as a vibrant and creative destination. This year, they are looking for artists to participate in this 3-day event. Each participating artist will be given a prepped wall to complete their mural and a $1,500 stipend plus $500 for supplies. The Festival will also provide lodging for all artists. Murals can be open theme but must be approved by the business that sponsors the wall. To kick off the festival, artists will arrive in Macon, GA on Thursday, September 11th. The festival will host a kick-off breakfast on Friday, September 12th, and then artists will have all day Friday and Saturday to complete their murals.

2025 Old Town Keller Rotating Sculpture Program

The Keller Public Arts Board is seeking six sculptures that are appropriate for public viewing and support the family-friendly atmosphere of the City of Keller. Sculptures remain under the artist’s ownership and are loaned to the exhibit for a two-year period. All sculptures must be “family appropriate” and pose no risk to public safety; no sexual, bloody or violent content shall be accepted. Sculptures must be made of materials that can withstand the harsh Texas weather and require no maintenance by the City of Keller. Pieces sold while on display may be removed but the artist must replace the sold artwork with a different sculpture, with approval by the Board, within 60 days of removal of the sold piece.

The Creative Capital Award provides individual artists with unrestricted project grants for the creation of bold, innovative, original, and imaginative new artistic works. In addition to unrestricted project grants from $15,000 up to $50,000, the Award offers transformative professional development support including strategic advising, peer mentorship, industry connections, and community-building opportunities. Grants are awarded via a national, democratic, open call, external review process. The State of the Art Prize aims to recognize and support one artist from every U.S. state and inhabited territory with an unrestricted artist grant of $10,000.

This “Call for Qualification” is seeking Professional Artists who wish to be considered by the Town of Danville for a commissioned artwork that will be admired for years. The Town of Danville has ventured into temporary public art pieces and is now working to establish its first permanent public art exhibit, Acorns of the Old Oak. The exhibit would consist of placing small bronze, three-dimensional acorn sculptures in Downtown Danville where they would be placed at town-owned facilities and/or historic building sites. ARD is an art institution founded by Hana El-Beblawy in 2022 and specialized in the field of contemporary art practices within the local and international art scene. The program includes artistic residencies, exhibitions, workshops, and other art alternatives. With its prime location in Garden City, central Cairo, which is a residential, affluent neighborhood with broad, tree-lined streets home to foreign embassies, grand private mansions and unique architecture. Traditional wooden felouka (sail) boats offer rides in the Nile River, while the waterfront Corniche is popular for walks by the river and city views. ARD aspires to become a vibrant meeting point bringing together artists, cultural activists, and art institutions with a broad and extended audience through its programs of intertwined projects and activities.

The City of Whittlesea is seeking an artist to design and install a mural in the newly built Murnong Community Centre that engages with and compliments the diverse and growing community. The artwork will cover approximately 35m2 and be installed on an internal wall above a prominent entry and exit point in the public community lounge.

Thunderdomesticity: Witness Me is a national juried exhibition designed to honor the strength of women (including but not limited to: cis women, trans women, non-binary, two-spirit, and gender fluid people) during dystopian times. All artists from the United States, regardless of gender, are invited to submit one or two high quality photographs of their art before the deadline of April 4, 2025. Witness Me is the 4th annual Thunderdomesticity exhibition, and it will feature artwork that is post-apocalyptic, feminist, and everything in between. The juror of this exhibition is Klaire Lockheart, host of the Femininity in the Post-Apocalypse podcast. There is no entry fee to submit artwork, but artists will pay a $30 printing fee for each accepted image.

What are the innovative forms, ideas, and themes happening right now in artistic creation in the Midwest? Open to all artists residing in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin, the South Bend Museum of Art’s Biennial 33 will present contemporary artwork in all media. Selected artists are asked to exhibit a body of work, or other presentation modality (site specific installation, projection reel, performance etc.), that gives a comprehensive look into their creative studio practice. $1,500 in awards will be selected by the juror and $1,500 in purchase awards will be chosen by the South Bend Museum of Art’s Collections Committee. A color brochure of exhibiting artists will also be produced. There is a $10 entry fee to apply.
