Now in its 45th year, Summerfest is a juried fine art and craft festival known for attracting a dedicated art-buying audience. Hosted by the nonprofit Center for the Arts Evergreen, the event takes place on July 19-20, 2025, at Buchanan Park Field in Evergreen, CO. Artists selected through the jury process will showcase gallery-quality fine art and crafts while benefiting from top-tier vendor services. Proceeds support the Center’s year-round art programming.

The LUX Center for the Arts, located in Lincoln, NE, will be hosting its third bi-annual EMERGE mural festival in September of 2025. Three (3) new murals will be created in the University Place neighborhood, Lincoln’s first certified Creative District. This call for artists outlines the details or application.

Three artists will be selected and each will create a mural at a designated location within the UNI Place Creative District. Each artist will receive $4,000 in compensation for their work, as well as a design honorarium. Supplies and materials will be paid for by the LUX Center for the Arts, along with additional administrative coordination assistance.

The 10th Horse and Art Research Program offers an intensive program designed for artists interested in combining equine studies and visual arts. It seeks artists with an interest in horse culture as well as riders with an interest in art. The work includes daily practice and lessons in horsemanship, equestrian archery, and riding. Discussions and lectures focus on fine art research, with each year centered around a different research theme. Now in its 10th year, the program will emphasize body language and communication with horses. Guest lecturers will be invited, and excursions will be organized. The residency concludes with a public exhibition in the Riding Arena Gallery. It welcomes artistic practices from both Western and Eastern traditions. To mark this special anniversary year, a surprise show featuring works by previous participants will be included.

Art League of Hilton Head invites you to enter the 2025 Biennale, its 29th National Juried Exhibition, held every other year and featuring multiple media types, including Oil, Acrylic, Pastel, Watercolor, Photography, Mixed Media, and Three-Dimensional. Over $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. All accepted works of art selected by three jurors will be displayed at Art League Gallery inside the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The Denver Chalk Art Festival is an award-winning event that will transform Denver's historical museum district into a colorful street museum. Over the course of two days, 200 professional, amateur, and student artists captivate audiences as they take to the pavement armed with vivid soft pastels and spend hours drawing on their hands and knees. Thousands of festival attendees enjoy food and live music as they watch beautiful chalk pieces come to life. The event is produced by Denver Chalk Art and CherryArts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting arts awareness and education in Denver.

The D Contemporary Open Call and Award is designed to provide emerging and early mid-career artists of all ages and nationalities with the opportunity to showcase their work while receiving support to develop and enhance their practice within their contemporary art gallery in London.​ Finalists of the open call will participate in a group exhibition at their Mayfair gallery and benefit from press exposure. Additionally, one winner will receive a solo exhibition, dedicated mentorship, and extensive press coverage in 2025/2026. Deadline for Submissions: 30 March 2025. The SRO Photo Gallery at the Texas Tech University School of Art hosts an annual open call for six to eight exhibitions of still photographic artwork to be exhibited between August 2025 and May 2026. Beginning in Fall 2025, we will also be presenting four solo moving image exhibitions to be presented during the same academic year. Portfolio submissions will be reviewed by a committee consisting of the Digital & Narrative Arts faculty and students of the School of Art and the Landmark Arts staff. The SRO Photo Gallery seek portfolios that utilize lens-based art in all styles, techniques, and aesthetic approaches which speak to the ever developing and shifting landscape of contemporary photographic art practice. Consistency in the work as well as creative vision is important in the selection process.

Part of Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN), FLAMIN Productions aims to support the most exciting, innovative and challenging moving image projects with development and production finance. FLAMIN Productions is the only scheme of its kind in the UK. It commissions new, important and substantial moving image artworks that are ambitious in premise and approach, with an emphasis on projects that have strong potential for national and international exhibition and distribution. In 2025, FLAMIN Productions will be investing production funding through an award of £40,000 for one project.

Magmart | video under volcano is an international videoart festival, which over the years has seen the participation of more than 1400 artists from +80 different countries, with thousand submitted videos.

The Festival is open to all international videoartists. Participation is free. Between all submitted video, will be done a final selection based on vote of a Jury composed by experts. Located in the heart of Barcelona, ​​Printmaking Barcelona has been, since 1986, an artistic studio for artists to develop their works in the field of chalcographic engraving. They offer the artist the possibility of working in a space dedicated to printmaking and arts in general, ​​surrounded by emblematic places of the city. The main objective of the Printmaking Barcelona Resident Program is for artists (whether new or experts) to feel in a place that inspires them to carry out their work. The Olin Art Gallery on the campus of Washington & Jefferson College, Washington, PA is now accepting exhibition proposals in any medium for the 2025/2026 academic year. Proposals may include solo or group exhibitions. Elf School of the Arts is a nonprofit artist residency in Hayesville, NC. Situated beside the Appalachian Mountains and Lake Chatuge, Elf was originally an elementary school started in 1928, but has been renovated from 2022-2024 into an artist residency and concert venue. Elf's primary mediums are book arts, casting, cooking, drawing, jewelry, music, lapidary, paper arts, photography, printmaking, weaving, welding, woodworking, and writing. Residencies at Elf run from 1 week up to 3 months. You can apply to experiment, produce a body of work, use specific equipment, or expand on an idea. A private bedroom and studio are provided during your stay. The residencies are free, however consumables, materials, food, and travel are not included.

Through the Matrix-Ost project, Museum Kesselhaus Herzberg aims to recontextualize contemporary Eastern European visual art within this historic and political framework, fostering dialogue and reflection on the shared and distinct artistic experiences of Eastern and Western Europe. The 2025 Milburn Art Prize for Landscape reflects the evolving nature and aims of BIA to honour Paul Milburn, a much loved and respected tutor who began teaching in 1989 at BIA until his death in 2011. They offer a prize of $10,000, along with approximately 5 highly commended awards of $1,000 each, awarded for a 2d artwork addressing the spirit of Paul Milburn’s legacy and John Peart’s musings on landscape. Accepted media includes painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and photography. The Milburn Art Prize creates an opportunity for both established and emerging artists to bring a sense of surprise and openness to their interpretation of Landscape, while fostering an enriched dialogue between artists, community and arts industry.

TERAVARNA is a place where creative ideas may become a reality. They are happy to announce that we can allow foreign artists to apply for artist grants to help fund their work. They're committed to helping creative people alike succeed by giving out $2,000 in grants on four separate occasions a year. Please submit as many pieces as you like. Carolinas Rehabilitation is looking for local and regional artists (North and South Carolina) to submit pieces to be hung in their newly renovated, high-traffic space. Every three months the gallery will be filled with new art, chosen by a committee. The artists chosen for each time period will be able to display 3 pieces of art. SVA’s Artist Residencies offer artists, designers and creative thinkers time, space and a supportive community in which to develop ideas and focus on their artistic direction, with summer programs on campus in New York City, as well as year-round in online formats. In addition to their time-honored studio residencies, a variety of innovative professional immersion programs provide opportunities for artists to explore new areas of social and technological practice and engage critically within their field. Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR) is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 which brings lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex and queer identifying emerging visual artists to Fire Island— a place long-steeped in LGBTQ history— to create, commune, rest, reflect and contribute to the location's rich artistic history. Each summer FIAR provides free live/work space to visual artists who work, socialize, and immerse themselves in the Fire Island community for four weeks, during which time they are visited by renowned artists and scholars, who interact with residents through intimate studio visits, dinners, and discussions, providing support and feedback. The greater Fire Island community, as well as visitors from New York City and Long Island, are invited to attend free public lectures by these esteemed guests.

Since 1960, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts has partnered with the Montgomery Art Guild to present a biennial exhibition of contemporary regional art in the museum’s galleries. This 46th edition of the exhibit will present paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, photographs, computer graphics, mixed media, fiber art, and fine crafts by some of Alabama's most talented contemporary artists. So far, they have raised over $8,000 for cash awards for artists! This year's exhibit is based on the theme “Home” and can include realistic or abstract works inspired by characteristics or living conditions of their home state, Alabama. This year's Juror is Jade Powers, Hugh Kaul Curator of Contemporary Art of the Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) invited applications for exhibition proposals. The HCAC manages two galleries at the Howard County Center for the Arts with over 21,000 square feet of exhibit space. The HCAC gallery program was established to enhance the public's appreciation of the visual arts, provide a venue to exhibit the work of local, regional, and national artists in a professional space, and provide leadership in the arts by presenting a broad spectrum of arts in all media from both emerging and established artists. HCAC presents 11-12 exhibits per year of national, regional, and local artists, including two-person, small and large group, juried, curated, and community shows. HCAC rarely exhibits solo shows.

The Phipps Center for the Arts invites artists to submit their work for consideration for solo, two-person and small group exhibition opportunities in the professional exhibition spaces of the Phipps Galleries for the 2026-2027 season. Artists may also choose to be considered for our Enriching Arts program which brings original art to community exhibition locations, including healthcare and senior living facilities in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

They offer professional artists an inspiring residency in a peaceful, rural environment, with good working spaces and support for specific activities (such as open studio and other public events). There will be some seven artists. Each works individually and has all privacy; collaborations are on your own initiative.

Arts Letters & Numbers is a year-round Artist Residency providing a creative sanctuary in the historic Faith Mills Complex in rural Upstate New York. The residency fosters an environment of creative urgency and collaboration, offering inspiring spaces like a warm Victorian home, a white barn, and textile mills turned into studios, all surrounded by woods, lakes, and opportunities for connection. Residents have the freedom to shape their workspace and rhythms while engaging in shared meals, bonfire conversations, and community programming, including open studios, workshops, exhibitions, and more. With seasonal residencies lasting 1 to 12 weeks, the program welcomes artists to explore their work and contribute to the inclusive dialogue through proposed projects such as performances or lectures. 

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography using a concentration of colors. One color or a multitude of colors meets the criteria for this competition. This is the 9th annual Colors art competition that gallery has held.
This is an international open (no theme) competition so any subject matter and any media are acceptable. All artists, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art and photography.

The Photo Trouvée Artist Residency is a 10 week virtual program led by Juliana Naufel & Twiggy Boyer--founders of Photo Trouvée Magazine-- in which artists are invited to set goals, carve out time for their art practice, focus on a project and connect with like-minded artists from around the world. Only 9 slots will be available and there is an application process to join the Spring 2025 cohort.

Photographers are invited to study the relationship between geometry and architecture, capturing the visual harmony and tension that geometric forms create within the built environment. This exhibition seeks to showcase images that highlight the structure, symmetry, and rhythm found in architectural design. Through the lens of geometry, submissions should reveal how space and form interact, whether through the bold simplicity of modern architecture or the intricate details of classical design. This is an opportunity to showcase the power of geometric design in architecture through a photographic lens, revealing its influence on both form and function.

The Phipps Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for Human x Machine: Exploring Art in the Age of AI, an exhibition that examines the intersections of creativity, technology, and humanity that will take place in the Phipps galleries, September 12-November 2, 2025. This exhibition will include a wide range of perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the artistic process, from the full embrace of generative AI to artwork that pointedly rejects any AI interventions. The show will explore themes of collaboration, innovation, ethics, and identity.

Their goal is to commission an artist or artist team to create a sculpture that will become a vibrant addition of the sculptural fabric of their town. The Selection Committee will consider entries in all durable media worthy for outdoor installation, and will consider all stylistic variations, including realism, figurative, multi-media, kinetic and environmental works that push the boundaries of sculpture itself. They encourage a broad diversity of artists and encourage applicants from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities including artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latino/x, Asian American, people with disabilities, and members of the (LGBTQIA2S+) communities. HOST also encourages applicants at various stages in their career and applicants practicing a variety of artistic disciplines.

The Department of Art at Pittsburg State University welcomes Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals for the 2025-2026 academic year. Pittsburg State University Department of Art, located in Porter Hall has two galleries, University Gallery and Harry Krug Gallery. The University Gallery offers 900 square feet of space with 120 linear feet of wall space. The Harry Krug Gallery has approximately 100 square feet of wall space. Grants are offered to American painters aged 45 or older who demonstrate financial need. The primary emphasis is to promote public awareness and a commitment to American art, as well as encouraging interest in painters who lack adequate recognition. A jury made up of three art historians, artists, curators, and critics will review the applications in the late spring. Applicants will be notified no later than July 1, 2025.
