Often exhibited beyond museum walls in public space, these projects feature high levels of thought leadership, artistic production, and public engagement. VIA Art Fund accepts Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) on a semiannual basis for our Fall and Spring award cycles.

Gallatin County is inviting professional or emerging visual artists, or artist teams, to submit proposals for the creation of original artwork that embodies the themes of justice, reconciliation, and peace.

The objective of this artwork is to contribute to a serene and restorative environment within the new Gallatin County Courts Building. The commissioned artist will be responsible for developing a site-specific installation that harmonizes with the Center’s design and mission. This installation should enhance the atmosphere by fostering a sense of calm and renewal, aligning with the values and purpose of the Law and Justice Center.

Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) has been invited to exhibit artwork at the Lowe House of Delegates Building in Annapolis, Maryland. The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is accepting proposals in all visual art media for solo and group exhibitions for the 2025-2026 schedule. A community art center on the Great Miami River in arts-driven downtown Hamilton, Ohio, the Fitton Center welcomes thousands of participants monthly. The Fitton Center offers exhibitions, classes, performances, field trips, rentals and more! Gallery openings are typically attended by over 250 people. Four galleries provide 2,600 square feet of space with an additional Corridor Gallery to expand wall space as needed. Solo artists generally are asked to exhibit 10 to 25 works, depending on scale, media and available space.

The UCF Art Gallery at the University of Central Florida is seeking Exhibition Proposals for 2026-2028. Solo artists, artist groups and curators are encouraged to apply. The gallery is in the University of Central Florida’s School of Visual Arts and Design in Orlando, Florida. The gallery has about 3700 square feet of space with over 230 linear feet of wall space and about 96 feet of moveable wall space.

Eligibility: Artists/curators should not currently be enrolled in an undergraduate academic program. Submission materials should demonstrate professional experience and preparedness for a solo exhibition / exhibition curation. Artists must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States.

The 40th Annual International Exhibition is a juried visual art competition organized by the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Tyler. Internationally known artists, curators, and scholars have served as jurors selecting works for exhibition created by some of the best contemporary artists working today. The Department purchases three to six works from the exhibition each year; purchased works are added to their permanent collection. The permanent collection serves as an educational teaching resource; much of the permanent collection is exhibited throughout the UT Tyler main campus.

Wassaic Project 2025 Summer Residency Program Open Call

The Wassaic Project accepts proposals for our 2025 Summer Residency program (June – September). This call is for individual artists, collaborative teams, groups of two or more individual artists, and artists applying through our Family Residency program. The residency fee is $900 per artist/collab group/artist team/family for ~4 week residency session, which includes: semi-private studio space(s), private room in a shared house (our Family program receives a private house), access to our limited wood shop and kiln, staff support, and programming such as our Visiting Artist program, Artist Talks and Studio Visits, open studios, artist presentations, etc. The Wassaic Project cultivates and supports community for emerging and professional contemporary artists, writers, curators, filmmakers and other creatives. Housed in historic, landmark buildings, the residency program offers ten artists each month the opportunity to live and work in the heart of a rural community. The Wassaic Project seeks artists working in a diverse range of media who want to produce, explore, challenge, and expand on their current art-making practices, while participating in a community-based arts organization.

Artists from all countries are welcome to submit their works for consideration. You are welcome to submit works in any medium. (painting, photography, printmaking, video art, installation, films, sculpting, mixed media, poems, illustration, etc). The theme of the exhibition is OPEN.

Honeywell Arts & Entertainment is calling for entries for artists currently enrolled in a higher education program in Indiana for its inaugural University Art Exhibition – A statewide juried exhibition focusing on currently enrolled college students who are seeking an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in any field of fine art and/or craft. Students pursuing other degrees are welcome to apply but should consider the competitive nature of this call. Jurors will be considering works of the highest artistic quality and merit, regardless of individual degree path. Awards will be announced at the Closing Reception. It is encouraged that artists attend the reception, but not required.

The Artist’s Book Grant is a six- to eight-week residency for artists to produce a limited edition book work. Working intensively in studios, artists print and bind their own books, and are encouraged to create an edition size no larger than 100 and no smaller than 50. The grant includes a stipend of $350/week, up to $1000 for materials, up to $250 for travel within the Continental US, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. WSW can provide technical advice; training on new equipment, techniques, and materials; and production assistance.

For over seven decades, Skowhegan has offered artists the opportunity to engage fully with their studio practice, with their peers, and with distinguished faculty and mentors in its nine-week intensive and residential program. The MSU Museum CoLab Studio invites bold and innovative proposals for our upcoming exhibition, “Blurred Realities.” This exhibition and public programming series will delve into contemporary questions that challenge our perception and understanding of what is real and authentic. In an era of new and evolving technology, “Blurred Realities” seeks to explore real and surrogate objects and media, authenticity and deception, and information and disinformation. With the rise of 3D-printed materials, generative AI, deep fakes, synthetic voices, and simulated realities, how do we distinguish between authentic information and deceptive fabrications?

The Dresher Ensemble Artist Residency (D.E.A.R.) was established in 2012 to support Northern California artists actively exploring new aesthetic premises and pushing the boundaries of conventional art forms and media. The program provides artists free studio space and up-to-date equipment to create new work in time-based arts such as theater/performance, dance/movement, music/sound art/instrument invention, and collaborative and interdisciplinary work. D.E.A.R. grants up to six awards annually to individual artists or groups of artists collaborating on a single project. The lead artist must be a Northern California resident and not a student at the time of the application and residency.

Water-based pigments on paper must constitute the major portion of the work. Entries composed of paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, or two or three-dimensional wall pieces, and installations are eligible. Artists are urged to enter work that is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months. Work that has been previously displayed at TCA is not eligible. All work must be the original creation of the artist.

Alaska Native visual artists living in the United States are welcome to apply. Artists may use existing work in their application but are strongly encouraged to develop new work for this opportunity. Applications will be reviewed by a committee made up of museum staff and artist professionals. Selections will be based primarily on the quality of the work presented, but also on the artist’s record of professional activity (artist’s resume) and their exhibition proposal (letter of intent). Three artists will be selected for solo exhibitions to take place from February through mid-April of 2026, February through mid-April of 2027, and February through mid-April of 2028. Selected artists will be announced in December 2024.

As part of Troy Main Street’s 2025 Sculptures on the Square event, artists are invited to submit letters of interest including: a short bio about themselves and headshot, sculpture details and history, and qualifications for outdoor sculpture artwork. The theme of “Sow & Grow” has been selected for the 2025 event. Sculptors are welcome to freely interpret the theme in their submissions. Proposals must fit artist's interpretation of the theme to be considered. Artists with more than one sculpture fitting this theme are strongly encouraged to apply!
