The Artists in Queens Grant supports artists that live in Queens for the creation of new work in a community setting. These grants highlight the role of artists as important members of the community as they enhance the cultural climate in communities and neighborhoods where they live and work. Applicants may make only one project request of $3,000. Unincorporated artist groups and collectives may also apply, with a Queens-based artist member acting as the lead applicant for their proposal. Successful applications will show how the requested funds will: Strengthen community bonds; Increase overall awareness and greater access to cultural activities in Queens; Advance the applicant artist’s career; Engage with the community.

Blue Space Gallery - “Beyond Boundaries”, an international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their medium and style. Submissions should revolve around the central theme of “Beyond Boundaries”. Entry is free; only those artists whose submissions are chosen as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their artwork showcased in the online exhibition and will advance to the final jurying round in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000. Awards will be granted to those whose work demonstrates the greatest level of creativity and artistry.

The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant is one of the most prestigious grants available to emerging representational artists, as well as one of the most substantial. It is one of the longest standing, with an illustrious history of recipients spanning more than half a century. The Foundation provides financial assistance, by way of grants, to young artists who are pursuing their studies or are in the early stage of their career, are working in a representational style of painting, drawing, sculpture or printmaking, and demonstrate the determination and talent to pursue a lifetime career in their art practice.

SU-CASA is a community arts engagement program that places artists and organizations in residence at senior centers across the five boroughs of New York City. The program, funded in FY25 by the New York City Council, provides grants to artists and organizations for the creation and delivery of arts programming for seniors. Teaching artists will engage participating seniors in an art project or series of cultural programs over the course of the residency, which will also include a public program component – an exhibit, reading, performance, open houses or other cultural interactions open to the surrounding community. Individual artists-in-residence will receive a stipend in the amount of $6000, an additional $2000 materials/supplies budget, and access to materials and supplies from Materials for the Arts. Individual artists are expected to provide a minimum of 20 contact hours of activity and can apply directly to participate in the program without a fiscal sponsor.

The Louisiana Percent for Art Program invites qualified artists to submit their credentials for consideration in the commission of an exterior sculptural installation for the Chemistry and Materials Building at Louisiana State University (LSU). This public art project aims to create a visually compelling and intellectually engaging piece that reflects the innovation and scientific advancements of the disciplines housed within the building.

Artwork should captivate the imagination of students, faculty, staff, and visitors, engaging curiosity and appreciation for the sciences. The artwork should enhance the building's exterior and create a cohesive visual experience.

2025 Round 1 Individual Artist Grants. Individual Artist grants support the creation of new work by individual artists residing in Cattaraugus, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Tioga counties. The goal of this grant is to support the creative work of individual artists in all disciplines while encouraging interaction between artists and community members. All created artwork must be made accessible to the community through an activity or platform that can be accessible to the general public. Grants ranging up to $3,000 are available to individual artists. More detailed information on eligibility and qualifications is found in the grant guidelines.

Biennial Competition - Alexander Rutsch Award and Exhibition for Painting 2025

Pelham Art Center is pleased to announce a call for entries for the 13th biennial Alexander Rutsch Award and Exhibition for Painting. This juried competition is open to U.S.-based artists aged 19 and older. The Createability Internship Program supports up to 11 participants who are placed with up to 11 major NSW organisations across the arts, screen, sound and culture sectors. The program provides customised training followed by paid internships.
The desired outcomes of the program include increased skill development, employment and greater participation by people with disability or who are d/Deaf in arts, screen, sound and cultural organisations across NSW.
Arts, screen, sound and cultural organisations will host interns for a period of 4 weeks (20 days, 160 hours full-time) or up to 16 weeks (160 hours part-time). This will be decided to best meet the needs of both the host and the intern.

The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is an $8,000 unrestricted cash grant available to artists living in New York State and/or one of the Tribal Nations located therein. This grant is awarded in fifteen different disciplines over a three-year period (five categories a year) and the application is free to complete. The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is not a project grant, but is intended to fund an artist’s vision or voice, at all levels of their artistic development.

Our mission is to celebrate and showcase the diverse talents of artists at every stage of their journey, from emerging talents to seasoned professionals. The £10,000 prize fund gives artists validation and visibility on a global platform, including a finalist exhibition in central London. Beam Center seeks design proposals for an ambitious public artwork to be brought to life through collaborations between youth, Beam Camp staff, and the selected proposer. Projects will be realized by a community of more than 100 young people at Beam Camp in the summers of 2025 and 2026.

Beam Camp, located in Strafford, NH, is a specialized summer camp focused on building and collaboration. The award-winning program provides youth (ages 10-17) with the opportunity to develop hands-on skills while exploring innovative thinking, design, problem-solving, and the creative process.

Each year, Beam Camp invites proposals for unique and spectacular large-scale projects that serve as the centerpiece of its 29-day session, where they are constructed and brought to life by 100 campers and over 20 staff members. The Project Team collaborates with the winning designers to adapt their project designs to the camp setting. Beam Center prides itself on the high level of craftsmanship and skill reflected in these projects and in the work of its staff and campers. Interested designers are encouraged to explore past projects.

The Adachi Contemporary UKIYOE Award 2024 is now calling for 21st-century ukiyo-e artists. Ukiyo-e prints, loved worldwide, are the result of a collaborative effort by three artisans: the ukiyo-e artist, represented by masters like Hokusai and Hiroshige, who draws the original design; the carver, who meticulously carves the design onto woodblocks; and the printer, who transfers the image onto washi paper. The works created by these artists have served as a “mirror of the times,” reflecting the societal and cultural contexts of their era and captivating many people. Since its inception in 2009, the Adachi UKIYOE Award has sought artists to become the next generation of ukiyo-e artists, producing designs that serve as the foundation for modern ukiyo-e.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces the 14th Annual “All Women” Online Art Competition.

There is no theme for this competition, so any subject matter and any media are acceptable for consideration.

The Artist Residency program was conceived of as a regenerative intercultural meeting place, where international artists can share experiences and sensibilities. The residency is aimed particularly at international artists who are enthusiastic about working within Toffia’s environment. The program offers artists the opportunity to confront new ideas or experiment with their work and the particular territory of Sabina region. The residency is open to individual professional artists working in visual arts, photography, film & video, music/sound art, media arts, performing arts/puppetry/marionettes, and creative writing.  Each residency period concludes with an Open Studios day.

New American Paintings sponsor six juried competitions per year. The forty winners of each competition receive a four-page, full-color spread in New American Paintings.
