Art Omi: Artists invites artists from around the world, representing a wide diversity of artistic styles and practices, to gather in rural New York to experiment, collaborate and share ideas. Concentrated time for creative work is balanced with the stimulation of cultural exchange and critical appraisal.
Art Omi: Artists nurtures deep creative and professional connections in a vibrant, social residency. Artists are provided with a private studio, shared living quarters, and meals at no cost, but are responsible for their travel and material expenses, unless they are eligible for travel grants as specified in our fellowships guidelines. Each session, two critics/curators are invited to participate as Critics-in-Residence. They both lead discussions, help shape the Visitors program and make individual studio visits throughout the duration of the residency session.

The Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and its Renwick Gallery invite applications to its premier fellowship program, the oldest and largest in the world for the study of American art. Scholars from any discipline whose research engages the art, craft, and visual culture of the United States are encouraged to apply, as are those who foreground new perspectives, materials, and methodologies. Fellowships are residential and support full-time research in the Smithsonian collections. SAAM is devoted to advancing inclusive excellence in art history and encourages candidates who identify as members of historically underrepresented groups to apply.

Letters, Numbers & Symbols explores the intersection of language, mathematics, and semiotics through the captured image. The fundamental building blocks of communication—letters, numbers, and symbols, often taken for granted, are reimagined and deconstructed in ways that challenge our perceptions and deepen our understanding of the visual and conceptual power of these basic units of meaning.

Letters, Numbers & Symbols is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. ​​​​​​​All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.

Artists have played an important role in the formation, preservation, and enjoyment of national parks. Over a century ago, by painting landscapes of the American West, artists publicized many of the natural wonders of a land little known to an eastern populace. Their body of work helped to foster appreciation for these national wonders which ultimately resulted in the establishment of many national parks. Artist’s interpretation of park landscapes through many types of media connects people to these special places, which is an essential part of the preservation and protection of America’s national parks.

At Great Basin National Park, artists will be surrounded by the natural beauty of the park from the 13,063-foot summit of Wheeler Peak to the depths of Lehman Caves. The park offers the solitude of the wilderness and provides expansive and renowned dark-sky stargazing. The sights, sounds, and textures of the environment, along with uninterrupted time, offer a respite from typical daily life and provide inspiration for creative work.

The Mary Olson Farm Artist in Residence program began in the summer of 2018. The City of Auburn program offers the opportunity for an artist to pursue their work in, and to be inspired by, the unique and beautiful setting of the Mary Olson Farm in Auburn, Washington. The residency lasts two months, providing the artist with a large indoor barn studio, a stipend, and access to the 67 acre farm.

A variety of public programming opportunities are planned in conjunction with the Artist Residency that are free and open to the public. Currently in the sixth year of the program, the City of Auburn has welcomed some very talented artists for this unique artist opportunity.

The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverages Services, in partnership with the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management and the Utah Division of Arts & Museums Public Art Program, requests qualifications from Utah artists and/or artist teams interested in creating site-specific artwork(s) for the upcoming Moab store location.

It is the intention of the Art Committee to commission new artwork from a Utah-based artist for the Moab DABS store location. The Committee has identified interior wall sites for an artist’s contribution. The Committee has a strong interest in mural work for the project, but would be open to considering other media as proposed by artists.

The Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) Elevate Program aims to fund public art and placemaking installations that enhance the downtown experience for all people. Reflective of this commitment to public art and the Elevate Program goals, the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority is seeking to commission an artist or artist team to design and install a unique shade structure at the Farmers Market in Ann Arbor, MI. The DDA is open to proposals of different mediums, including fabric or rigid materials, and desires a work that is positive, balances shade and light for different times of the year, and involves color.

The Department of Art and Design at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites artists and designers to apply for a solo exhibition at the Elsie B. Rosefsky Memorial Art Gallery. The Rosefsky Gallery is a recently renovated 1,100 square foot exhibition space with 10-foot ceilings. The gallery presents an ongoing series of exhibitions, lectures, and seminars by visiting artists and notable alumni. Exhibitions will be approximately one month long, scheduled between August 2025–May 2028. All media will be considered.

Nexus Art Space, in collaboration with @i.e.artprojects Online Art Foundation, is thrilled to announce an international virtual artist residency with the theme “The Body and Its Many Stories.”

Artists are invited to explore and express their relationship with their body, something inherently unique to each individual, whether through personal experiences, cultural perspectives, or imaginative interpretations. Participants are encouraged to consider the body not just as an external object of study, but as a deeply personal experience.

The residency seeks art that addresses the challenges of defining and categorizing the body while acknowledging its rich diversity. Works can explore the tension between personal experiences and broader, often simplified definitions, reflecting on the many stories that each body holds.

Exhibit your sculpture outdoors in downtown Lafayette, Colorado for one year. Lafayette has refined its community engagement and ability to promote the Art on the Street (AOTS) program and participating artists. Blue Space Gallery presents the 3rd "Open Theme" international competition and virtual exhibition. AUTOMAT announces a call for artworks for their 2024 Open Call exhibition, open to emerging and mid-career artists working in any medium in the Philadelphia region and beyond. This group exhibition will be curated by the Automat Collective members, and will run from December 7th 2024 - January 18th 2025. Accepted works must be available for the duration of the show.

The Conversation Art Podcast is seeking guests for upcoming episodes of the show. The podcast has been around since 2011, and is an institution in the world of art podcasts (https://theconversationpod.com)

Artists, as well as collectors, art writers, art dealers and other art workers, are invited to submit to the Open Call to be a guest on the podcast. A minimum of three guests will be selected from the submissions, and those guests will be featured in their own episode, in the one-on-one conversational format of the show.

Each of those episodes will be made available to The Conversation's audience of several thousand listeners, as well as the general podcast-listening public, and a dedicated website for that episode will be a permanent url.

Established in 1975, the MAEP is one of the oldest juried art exhibitions at an American art museum. The program aims to assist emerging to mid-career artists in advancing their practice by producing or completing a body of artwork for exhibition.

The MAEP Open Calls take place every February, June, and October. One application is selected to exhibit and receive $13,500 total. Applicants are emailed a decision 6 to 8 weeks after the deadline.

The City and County of Denver (City) seeks a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to commission an artist or artist team to create an original public artwork(s), for the Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation (CEEA) at Denver International Airport (DEN), as part of the Great Hall Completion Project in Denver, Colorado. A selection panel comprised of community representatives, arts and cultural professionals and civic leaders has been assembled to identify public art opportunities within the project, review applications and ultimately recommend an artist or artist team for the commission. Photo Trouvée Magazine is pleased to announce an international open call for print issue 15, "The Collaborative Issue." The magazine is seeking collaborations between two or more artists who have created physical or digital artworks together, using or inspired by vintage, found, or family photographs. New American Paintings sponsor six juried competitions per year. The forty winners of each competition receive a four-page, full-color spread in New American Paintings. The Edward F. Albee Foundation serves writers and visual artists from all walks of life by providing time and space in which to work without disturbance. Using only talent and need as criteria for selection, the Foundation invites all artists to apply. The Center is open almost year-round and can comfortably accommodate up to four creative individuals at a time. Residencies are for calendar-month periods, with rare, pre-approved exceptions. The standards for admission are simply talent and need, and there is no cost to apply or to stay. Writers and visual artists are offered individual en-suite bedrooms and separate working studios. Residents are responsible for their own food, travel, and other expenses. The environment is simple and communal, and residents are expected to contribute to maintaining the condition of "The Barn" as well as its peaceful atmosphere.

The 14th Annual PleinAir Salon is an online art competition open to a range of mediums and styles, not limited to plein air painting. Each month, top master artists, museum directors, and gallery owners judge the entries. Monthly winners automatically qualify for the Annual Competition, where the Grand Prize is $15,000 and a feature on the cover of PleinAir Magazine.

With over $50,000 in total cash prizes, winners gain recognition through magazines, websites, newsletters, and social media. Early Bird Registration ends on the 15th, offering 25% off entries. Regular pricing is $38 for the first entry and $16 for additional entries across 19 categories.

Coker University’s Cecelia Coker Bell Gallery in Hartsville, SC is currently reviewing applications for five solo exhibitions to be held in the 2025/2026 academic year. The gallery seeks to share exhibitions that will engage students and expand their understanding of art, while connecting them to regional, national, and international artists. The 2025 Fellows will be announced publicly in April of 2025 and they will begin to receive stipend and tuition support from the program in the fall of 2025, and they will also attend the Fellowship’s Fall Conference, all expenses paid, that October.
