4 Solo Exhibitions & 8 Artist Showcases will be awarded.

There is no theme for this solo art competition so any subject matter and any media are acceptable for consideration. Both 2D & 3D artists (including photography & digital arts) are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces its 28th “Solo Art Series” Online Art Competition. The gallery will judge the Top 12 artists who have the most complete “Body of Work” to show. From that group of 12 artists, the gallery will award 4 monthly Solo Art Exhibitions and the next 8 artists will be featured in the gallery’s Artist Showcase Section.

The first of the four Solo Art Exhibitions will begin on September 15, 2024, and each solo exhibition will run for approximately 30 days through January 14, 2025. The Artist Showcase features will also begin on September 15, 2024, with one of the 8 artists being shown on the 1st and 15th of each month. The Artist Showcase content will be the artist's Solo Art Series entry package.

Amateur or professional 2D & 3D artists (including photography and digital art), worldwide, with or without prior group or solo art exhibition experience, are encouraged to submit their best abstract and/or representational art.

The competitive process will encompass not only the quality and depth of the artist’s artwork but will also include an evaluation of the overall presentation of the artist’s biography and artist’s statement as included in the entry package. The requirement of a complete entry package creates an opportunity for the artist to craft and/or to polish their current artist statement and artist biography.

The City of Auburn, WA seeks Pacific Northwest artists for its 2025 Site-Specific Art Galleries program. Artists will create installations for either the Art on Main Gallery or Vault Gallery, displayed for three-month periods throughout 2025.

Eligibility: Individual artists or teams from Washington, Oregon, or Idaho.

Peep Projects invites all interested artists to submit their work to our first juried open call after three and a half years of programming. - Peep predominantly organizes solo, two-person, and thematic group exhibitions with national and international artists, focusing on site-specific installations.
- As an ode to Marcel Duchamp’s Étant Donnés (on view at the Philadelphia Museum of Art), a peephole was installed in its former location—a renovated studio in Viking Mill—for viewers to peep into the exhibitions from the hallways. Now at Crane Arts in Olde Kensington, Philadelphia, visitors can view the exhibitions from a large window in the door.

In its 64th season, Bucks County's longest continually running art gallery will hold its 10th Juried Art Exhibition during four weekends beginning October 12th with a gala opening on Sunday, October 13th - 1:00 to 5:00pm.

Applications are open to artists from around the world who have five years of experience in sculpting and exhibiting in outdoor spaces and galleries. Artists are invited to send their proposals in response to the curatorial theme ‘From Then to Now‘.

Following a review process, 30 local and international sculptors will be invited to participate in the symposium, where they will create large scale sculptures in a live setting, made from Saudi-sourced granite of three different colors.

Participating artists will be invited to stay in Riyadh throughout the creation period, with materials, tools and assistants being provided to them. In addition to an artist fee, the program offers all expenses, including accommodation as well as return flights for international artists.

WomensWork.Art announces 'The Last Breath,' an exhibition exploring Death, Momento Mori, and Honoring the Dead through Art at their Downtown Poughkeepsie, NY gallery. The call is open to women, femme-identifying, and non-binary artists living in the United States.

Entry fees are $30 for up to three works and $10 for each additional piece (maximum five). Submissions must be made through EntryThingy. Artwork dimensions are limited to 36 inches on the longest side or 2 feet diameter for 3D pieces. The exhibition will be featured in-person and online.

Artists retain 70% of sales. WomensWork.Art handles transactions and taxes, while artists are responsible for shipping. Due to COVID-19 logistical delays, international submissions are not accepted.

The 2024 Vincent Buckley Poetry Prize is seeking applications.

In 2024, the $15,000 award is offered to an Australian poet to Visit Ireland or Northen Ireland.

The Vincent Buckley Poetry Prize was established to commemorate the life and work of the late Vincent Buckley; poet, critic and Professor of English at the University of Melbourne. It is a biennial award that is offered alternately to enable an Australian poet to visit Ireland and to facilitate the visit of an Irish poet to Melbourne. The Prize, which has been made available through generous donations from family and friends of Vincent Buckley, provides the recipient with a return airfare, and a contribution towards living expenses.

This exhibition call for 'Joy' at Arc Gallery and Studios in San Francisco invites artists to explore and capture the essence of joy in their work. Curated by Priscilla Otani and Karen M. Gutfreund, the show seeks diverse interpretations of happiness and positive emotions.

The call is open to women, femme-identifying, and non-binary artists in the United States. Artwork dimensions are limited to 60" x 40" for 2D pieces and 16" x 16" pedestal or 4' floor space for 3D works.

The exhibition runs from November 16, 2024, to January 11, 2025. Artists receive 60% of sales, with the gallery retaining 40%.

Jurors Priscilla Otani and Karen M. Gutfreund bring extensive experience in curating and promoting artists. The exhibition aims to create an emotionally engaging showcase of contemporary works exploring the theme of joy.

Presenting Art Collide’s "Open Theme”, Fall 2024, international competition and online exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their preferred media and style. The competition's theme is "Open," allowing participants to express their creativity by submitting artworks on any subject matter of their choice. Since its founding in 1907, MacDowell has imbued its spaces with a deep and abiding respect for artists and their creative work. In the 21st century, this fundamental kindness is sustained by the curiosity, generosity, and goodwill circulating within the resident community.
While MacDowell may be thought of as a place apart from the world, the resident population will always be comprised of individuals who are of the world. MacDowell strives to offer ideal working conditions for artists within a joyful and mutually supportive environment. Consistent with that mission, all Fellows are obliged to adopt the community agreement as a condition of accepting a Fellowship. Doing so will help ensure that all Fellows may participate in the enriching exchange that has given rise to countless friendships and collaborations.

Duration of residency: up to six weeks; the average stay is 30 days

Princeton Arts Fellowships, funded in part by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, David E. Kelley Society of Fellows in the Arts, and the Maurice R. Greenberg Scholarship Fund, will be awarded to artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Applicants should be early career visual artists, filmmakers, poets, novelists, playwrights, designers, directors and performance artists—this list is not meant to be exhaustive—who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community.

Princeton Arts Fellows spend two consecutive academic years (September 1-July 1) at Princeton University and formal teaching is expected. The normal work assignment will be to teach one course each semester subject to approval by the Dean of the Faculty, but fellows may be asked to take on an artistic assignment in lieu of a class, such as directing a play or creating a dance with students. Although the teaching load is light, our expectation is that Fellows will be full and active members of our community, committed to frequent and engaged interactions with students during the academic year.

A $92,000 a year stipend is provided. Fellowships are not intended to fund work leading to an advanced degree. One need not be a U.S. citizen to apply. Holders of Ph.D. degrees from Princeton are not eligible to apply.

Past recipients of the Hodder Fellowship and individuals who have had a sustained and continuous relationship with Princeton University are not eligible to apply. Those who have had an occasional and sporadic relationship with Princeton may apply.

440 Gallery announces the Call for Entries for the 20th annual Small Works Show 2024. This national, juried exhibition celebrates the innovation of artists who create work on a small scale in a broad range of media and styles. VCCA Fellows are selected by peer review on the basis of professional achievement or promise of achievement in their respective fields. Separate review panels are created for each category (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, playwriting/screenwriting, children’s literature, performance, film/video, book arts, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, installation art, music composition, etc.). Panelists undergo periodic review and rotate regularly to ensure VCCA admission decisions are guided by high caliber artists who represent a diversity of styles and tastes.

The Hambidge Center, located on 600 forested acres in north Georgia, offers a unique residency program for creatives. As the oldest residency program in the Southeast, it provides a self-directed experience that respects the individual creative process.

The center accommodates small groups of 8-10 residents, each given a private studio with living space and kitchen. Communal vegetarian dinners are served Tuesday through Friday, fostering collaboration and friendships among diverse participants from various creative fields.

Key features include specialized facilities like the Antinori Pottery Studio and a Steinway grand piano. Two ADA-compliant studios are available, though the terrain is generally uneven and rustic.

Residents should be prepared for a secluded environment with no cell service or in-studio internet. The center emphasizes a focused, distraction-free creative experience.

Applications for the Spring Session (mid-February through May) are accepted from August 1 to September 15 of the previous year. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review all guidelines and FAQs before applying.

The Hambidge Center offers a unique opportunity for creatives to immerse themselves in nature and their work, fostering a supportive community while respecting individual processes.

The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure and recognition to artists. The awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose.

Each year, an open-call application is made available in each of the seven active partner cities. Supporting artists equitably is a critical part of the Artadia Award process: we consider the unique populations of each community and are proud to reflect our country’s diversity with an Awardee pool that is over 50 percent female and over 40 percent persons of color.

In addition to financial support, Awardees can participate in the Artadia Network to receive structured opportunities for valuable new connections and resource sharing as well as receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia’s online Artist Registry. The Center for Book Arts offers a year-long residency program for early and mid-career artists living in New York City. The program aims to support artists in exploring book arts and expanding their artistic practice.

Four to six residencies are awarded annually, welcoming applicants with varying levels of experience in book arts. The residency includes a $1,500 stipend, up to $6,000 in course tuition waivers, and 24-hour access to CBA's Manhattan studios.

Residents are expected to spend 20-40 hours per week in the studios, attend public programs, participate in quarterly BookTalks, and contribute to a group exhibition. The program offers opportunities for public speaking, collaboration, and studio visits with curators and artists.

Applicants must submit an artist statement, CV, 10 work samples, and an image list. The residency runs from January to December 2025 and is open to individual artists only, with a focus on those living in the five boroughs of New York City.

Art Scene West is opening its submission doors to Abstract Artists everywhere! From this call opportunity, up to 20 artists will be selected to have their unique paintings adorn the walls of our downtown San Diego gallery for 2 months beginning October 4th - November 30th. During that time artists' work will also be displayed on our Online Gallery and promoted on our social media channels and website. Our gallery is located in Seaport Village of downtown San Diego, a beautiful attraction where tourists and locals gather to enjoy the seaside businesses, luxury restaurants, and beautiful Southern California weather. Selected artists will also enjoy their own artist page on the Art Scene West website, featuring their artist bio, personal statement, artist photo, and artwork photo for the duration of the exhibition. They will benefit from our social media, email, and local promotional campaigns for the duration of the exhibition. Evaluation criteria include originality, potential impact, feasibility, and the applicant's capacity. The application process involves two stages: an initial online Inquiry Form, followed by an invited Proposal Form for selected applicants.
The Graham Foundation seeks to provide critical support at key points in project development, fostering diverse and challenging ideas about architecture and its broader cultural context.

Reflecting its mission to bridge East and West through the arts, the Boghossian Foundation launches an international Prize to celebrate artists whose work fosters a better mutual understanding among cultures.

The Prize is intended to pay tribute, each year, to three winners for their work promoting a dialogue between civilisations, a principle that lies at the heart of the mission of the Boghossian Foundation. There is no age limit for the Prize.

The City of Loveland Art in Public Places Program seeks an artist to create a suspended, aerial public art installation for the Northern Colorado Regional Airport. An aviation-themed, suspended public art installation within the main terminal seating area will be a primary focus for travelers. The themes of aviation, nature, history, and the local community are the primary artistic elements desired within this airport setting. PROJECT BUDGET: $30,000; Deadline to apply is 9/15/2024.

Memento mori can be a powerful reminder of the fleeting nature of our existence, a source of comfort and inspiration, and that we should make the most of our remaining time on this mortal coil. Show us, what makes life worth living, and how does one cope with the certainty of death?

Memento Mori is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. ​​​​​​​All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.

Australia’s most diverse art prize for emerging contemporary artists, the churchie emerging art prize (‘the churchie’), has officially opened entries for 2024. This national prize, invites early-career artists to enter for a chance to exhibit and be considered for awards totalling an over $40,000 prize pool. Entries are open to all emerging Australian artists over 18, regardless of age, practice, or medium.

The call for entries will run until 16 September. Industry experts will be searching for diverse, innovative, and unique pieces that showcase Australian contemporary art in practice to feature at the Finalist’s Exhibition from 22 – 30 November, hosted at Metro Arts for the first time.

Artists 18+ from PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA and Washington, D.C. are eligible to submit up to two original works created between 2022 and 2024. Artists are permitted to submit additional applications. Juror – Scott Noel
Scott Noel serves as juror for The Figure: Portraiture & Narrative – A Juried Exhibition.

After completing undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, Noel moved to Philadelphia in 1978. His first important solo exhibition was in the Fleisher Challenge Series in 1980. Since that time, he has mounted over 40 major shows across the country. Noel is represented by Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia and his work is included in numerous private, public and corporate collections including the Museum of the Pennsylvania Academy, the Woodmere Art Museum, the Arkansas Art Center and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. From 1996-2024, Noel taught drawing and painting in the undergraduate and graduate programs at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His legacy as an educator also includes teaching at The University of the Arts, Arcadia University and Community College of Philadelphia.

"Figure paintings have always wedded specific individuals with narrative roles. Think of Lorenzo de Medici, Hendrickje, Stoffels, Victorine Meurent and Leigh Bowery playing both themselves and characters in the pictorial fictions of Botticelli, Rembrandt, Monet and Lucian Freud. Almost all figure paintings imply a question about the relationship between the model and the role they play even in boardroom portraits of captains of industry. Awards
Prizes in the amount of $3,000+ will be awarded and presented at the Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 3-5 pm.

Works submitted must have been completed after January 1, 2022. All works must be for sale. Works previously exhibited at Wayne Art Center are not eligible.

Collaborative work is accepted. Please include all artists’ names on the online application.

Please contact Wayne Art Center if you have an excessively large and/or complex installation. Additional expense will be incurred by the artist if artwork requires carpentry, special surface treatment to gallery walls or a custom-built pedestal/armature or specific installation request.

All accepted work MUST BE HAND-DELIVERED to and RETRIEVED from Wayne Art Center. NO shipped work will be accepted. NO exceptions.

Artwork must remain on display throughout the duration of the exhibition.

​​Entry Information
All images should be at least 300 dpi resolution. File Format: JPEG or JPG only. File Size under 5mb. Please name each jpeg/jpg file with the TITLE of the work and specify multiple views with "full" or "detail" view.

The entry fee is $50 for up to 2 artworks. Entry fee is non-refundable.

Visa, MasterCard, AMEX or PayPal will be accepted for entry fee payment. The application will not be finalized until the entry fee has been paid. Entries must be complete and submitted by midnight, September 16, 2024.

For 3D works, a detail image may be submitted along with the overall image- therefore up to two views per piece for 3D works is allowed for up to two pieces. All images should be at least 300 dpi resolution. Artists are permitted to submit additional applications. The artist should use the same name and contact (including email) information for each application but must use a different username and password for additional applications. A$50 fee is applied to each application.

Exhibition inventory for works invited to this exhibit will be created from your submission listings. Updates, edits and changes to any part of listings for title/medium/size/price of work after entry and for the in-gallery exhibition can be made only by contacting WAC. A $25 administrative fee applies to any requested changes. Artists are asked to carefully review submission info before completing entry.

Communications
Notification to artists will be shared via e-mail. An e-mail will be sent for EACH image submitted. Please read each result e-mail carefully, to understand the status of each submission. The artist contact email provided on the online application must remain active during the submission and exhibition process. The artist is responsible for checking email (and SPAM) for acceptance and/or decline and other information regarding Wayne Art Center’s The Figure: Portraiture & Narrative - A Juried Exhibition. Notifications will be shared via email on September 25. Please do not contact Wayne Art Center for updates regarding notifications until after notifications are emailed on September 25 and after checking SPAM/Junk Files.

Insurance and Liability
While all precautions will be taken to ensure the protection of selected work upon receipt, Wayne Art Center cannot assume liability for any loss or damage to artwork in transit. Wayne Art Center provides insurance coverage only while work is on our premises. All work will be insured for 60% of its retail value.

Submission of work to this exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the artist to all terms and conditions of this entire prospectus, which includes, but is not limited to, the right of Wayne Art Center to use entries images for publicity purposes. Wayne Art Center will not be responsible for works not claimed by Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Work not retrieved by November 27, 2024 will become the property of Wayne Art Center and available for sale at 100% commission to WAC.

Installation
All work should be submitted installation ready. Framed work should arrive wired and ready to hang and 3D work should be stable enough to sit securely on a pedestal or come with a base that provides stability. If artwork installation is overly complex, Wayne Art Center will contact the artist to request assistance with the installation process. An artist may be required to assume financial responsibility for any alternations (painted walls, site-specific pedestals, armatures, lighting, electrical, etc.) that are requested or required by a particular installation. The artist is welcome to install their complex artworks if necessary. Installation requests must be requested in advance and approved by Wayne Art Center.

Sales Policy
All work must be for sale and the price identified on the entry application must remain constant throughout the duration of the exhibition. Wayne Art Center processes all sales and will retain 40% commission of the sale price, or on any sale that results from mediation by Wayne Art Center staff. Wayne Art Center processes all resulting commissions of work that occur as a result of this exhibition at the same rate of 60/40 Artist/WAC.

The Poetry of Bones is an International Photography Exhibition focusing on the theme of “Autumn”. Myers Art Gallery, located in the Department of Art & Design at the University of North Dakota welcomes your submission for our group exhibition, juried by international curator, photographer, photography theorist, philosopher of art, and educator, Zsolt Bátori. Show us your interpretation of this universal theme and what it means to you. All examples and styles of photography that fit this theme are encouraged to apply. This exhibition is sponsored by the Department of Art & Design within the campus of the University of North Dakota, the Myers Foundations, and the UND Photography Club.
