The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. Keyholders work independently, in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary artists. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; printmaking skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended. Basic instruction in printmaking techniques is available for new Keyholders. Applications are evaluated by an invited panel of artists, critics, curators, and art professionals. A total of 8 artists are awarded the residency annually. Artists based in the New York City area and without access to a studio space are encouraged to apply.

Asian CineVision is excited to invite the A4 community to submit to the 48th edition of the Asian American International Film Festival. Categories include documentary and narrative shorts and features, music videos, interactive media, and more! Submit by February 15th to get Regular Deadline prices. The Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) is proudly known as “The First Home to Asian American Cinema.” Organized by Asian CineVision, it’s the first and longest-running festival dedicated to showcasing the moving image work by media artists of Asian descent for and about the Asian diaspora experience. The Festival takes place in New York City, the second-largest Asian American market in the U.S. Every year, AAIFF attracts audiences from all five boroughs of New York City, the tri-state region, and around the world.

Alderworks welcomes writers and artists every summer to work in cabins on the edge of the wilderness in historic and stunningly beautiful Dyea near Skagway, Alaska. The purpose of Alderworks is to enhance the creative process. They host residents in three cabins for 4-6 week summer residencies. Artists also have access to a studio building. Applicants are screened in the winter for the following summer's two residency periods. Residency fee applies.

Long Meadow Art Residency is a six week – three-month solo residency in the Berkshires. LMAR offers studio space and housing, allowing time for artists to retreat and deepen their practice. The residency provides a $3,000 monthly living stipend, a $2,500 supply budget, as well as access to a vehicle for transportation.

La Porte Peinte is an international arts centre located in Noyers sur Serein, a medieval village in Burgundy that is recognized as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France. Based in a rambling medieval half-timbered building that leans out over the village square like something from a fairy tale, La Porte Peinte offers artists, makers, musicians and writers in residence the opportunity to engage in creative exploration and exchange in an unusually inspiring and supportive environment. Workshop spaces and event spaces are available for classes and performances. Along with residency accommodation, each creator in residence chooses the private studio space most suited to their practice.

Submit your work to be considered for inclusion in a group exhibition focused on birds. Submissions can either focus on visual depictions of birds or work which communicates the metaphors attributed to birds (i.e. on a wire, of a feather, catching the worm, etc.). The Eskenazi School of Art Architecture + Design at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a 4–6-week McKinney International Art and Design Residency. An established artist or designer will be selected whose primary country of residence is outside the United States. Applicants should be actively engaged in a contemporary artistic practice and show evidence of a national and international exhibition record. Applications from practitioners of studio disciplines, as well as criticism, are welcome.

RONDO is an international artists residency organization established in 2024 in Mexico City. RONDO is thrilled to offer artists two distinct opportunities to join them in their residency program. The open calls align with our two separate semesters: apply in the summer to attend the spring semester, and apply in the winter to attend the following fall semester. They are seeking to engage an experienced First Nations digital artist to work with First Nations young people to deliver a temporary public art project at the Tounnin Wominjeka Youth Hub, the newly built Youth Hub in Rosebud. The project aligns with the Public Art Policy which aims to commit to building a culturally aware and engaged community through the arts and to provide an environment in which artistic and cultural expression in the public domain is encouraged and valued. The artist will collaborate closely with young people to co-design a meaningful and engaging artwork. This participatory process will empower young individuals, fostering a deeper connection with their community and culture. The resulting artwork will reflect their voices and shared stories, celebrating the richness of First Nations culture.

Wayne Art Center’s 2025 Regional Juried Spring Open is an exhibition featuring works in painting, drawing, printmaking, works on paper, photography, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, glass, jewelry, metals, fiber and 3D printing technology.  Artists from PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA and Washington, DC are eligible to submit UP TO TWO original works created between 2023 and 2025. The Mare Island Artyard sculpture exhibition are currently planning our 5th year of art installations that will be on public display from mid-May 2025 through mid-May 2026 on Mare Island in Vallejo, CA. Mare Island is a peninsula that was home to the oldest Naval Base on the West Coast. It still has an active ship port, residential communities, nature preserve, a brewery, distillery, and is a destination for special events including concerts and races. The Mare Island Artyard are seeking art that is contemporary, imaginative, and suitable for a very broad general public. Local Edition will be selecting six (6) self-standing installations to receive a stipend from between $5,000 - $8,000 depending on the size and quality of the art.

What is 'the catalogue'?

The AFA Catalogue is not a magazine but rather a collection of scholarly essays published in a hardcover artbook format as well as presented digitally in a manner similar to an exhibition catalogue. Only the best in show artists from AFA online exhibitions are included in all formats of the catalogue, digitally and in print. The catalogue includes artists who have works in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Artists included in the catalogue have also been critically published by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, National Geographic, Financial Times, and The Guardian. There are also quite a few artists in the catalogue who are represented by some of the most respected galleries in the world.

The Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival and Exhibition are dedicated to enhancing the public’s appreciation of works completed in the plein air method while providing a venue for established and emerging artists to share their work with collectors and the public.

Wayne Art Center’s 17th Annual Plein Air Festival will take place May 4 through May 10, 2025 when 32 juried artists from across the country arrive to paint scenes within a 35-mile radius of Wayne, Pennsylvania including historic Main Line towns, rolling farm country, downtown Philadelphia and the Delaware and Schuylkill riverfronts. The work resulting from the 7-day competition will be exhibited at the Wayne Art Center Preview Party & Sale on May 10 and remains on view through June 21, 2025.

Since it was established in 1987 WOW has embraced the worlds of art and design, running an international competition that culminates in a spectacular theatrical performance each year. The newly constructed Manatee Pocket Mooring Field facility, located within the Port Salerno Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) boundary, embodies architectural elements inspired by Florida Vernacular design in its single-story structure. On SE Park Drive, the facility’s back wall offers a canvas for an approximately 7 feet tall by 6 feet wide mosaic mural and acts as the "front door" of the building in the context of the street and neighborhood. This artwork aims to celebrate the rich local culture, history, and natural beauty of Port Salerno and Martin County, seamlessly integrating with the surrounding architectural aesthetics. The project includes the development of complementary wayfinding signage. This sign will serve to highlight and direct visitors to key amenities.

Presenting Art Collide’s "Open Theme”, Winter 2025, international competition and online exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their preferred media and style. The competition's theme is "Open," allowing participants to express their creativity by submitting artworks on any subject matter of their choice. Only artists whose works are selected as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their artwork showcased online and advance to the final round of judging, where they will be considered for cash prizes, including the chance to win the grand prize of $1,000.

Space 776 invites artists worldwide to apply for a three-person exhibition in Spring 2025 at their Manhattan gallery. First established in 2015 as the Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize, the prize was relaunched in 2024 as the Bayside Painting Prize with an increase in prize money for the Major Prize to $25,000, making it one of the most generous non-acquisitive painting prizes in the country.
The $10,000 acquisitive Beckett Local Prize is open to artists who demonstrate a connection to the municipality of Bayside or the work entered is of local subject matter. There is also a 1,000 People’s Choice Prize.
The Bayside Painting Prize is the only annual painting prize held in Melbourne. The finalist exhibition brings together a broad range of artists from across Australia, both established and lesser known, whose varied approaches to the painted medium conveys the breadth and diversity of painting in Australia today.

Art Encounters is a year-long outdoor sculpture exhibit that showcases a number of sculptures, in various media and styles, displayed in highly visible areas in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, and Roxborough. The project is designed to promote public interest in art, develop community pride and draw visitors to the retail or civic areas where they are displayed. All art is for sale to the general public.

Founded in 1902, Byrdcliffe is one of the earliest utopian art communities in America. Located approximately 2 hours north of New York City in the unique community of Woodstock, NY, Byrdcliffe artists live and work surrounded by the serene beauty of the Catskill Mountains on a 250-acre property. Artist residency options include month-long communal sessions and 5-month long independent cottage residencies during the summer months, as well as independent residencies in our year-round cottages which range from 3-months to a year. As part of the AiR program, artists are invited to participate in a variety of programs which includes gatherings, talks, practice shares, studio visits, excursions, open studio events, and the annual AiR exhibition the spring after their residency.

Satellite Art Show presents SATELLITE RANCH SXSW, transforming a 10-acre Texas ranch into an art fair from March 7th-15th. Located in East Austin, the ranch features historic structures, outdoor installations, and unique features like a giant wooden snake sculpture. Over 100 local and international artists and galleries will participate, offering a blend of exhibitions, performances, music, and tech projects. SATELLITE RANCH aims to make art accessible to everyone, providing a "choose-your-own-adventure" experience celebrating Texas culture and contemporary art. SATELLITE Art Show is a unique alternative to traditional fairs, providing a great platform for both new and established artists & galleries.

The Asian Women Giving Circle (AWGC) believes culture is an essential part of any strategy for social change. They support projects led by Asian American women or gender-expansive people in NYC that harness the power of arts and culture to:
- Bring about progressive social transformation
- Raise awareness and catalyze action around critical issues that affect Asian American women, girls, gender-expansive people and families
- Highlight and promote their central role as leaders, creators, developers and managers of these projects.

In this grants cycle, they anticipate that 6-8 project grants will be awarded, contingent on available funding. The maximum grant amount is $8,000.

Discovery Green Conservancy is seeking proposals for a temporary outdoor art installation that will captivate and resonate with the park’s diverse audiences. Weingarten Art Group, on behalf of Discovery Green Conservancy, invites artists to propose projects that inspire exploration, magic, and joy in this vibrant urban park – one of Houston’s most beloved public spaces hosting up to two million visitors annually. As outlined in the Request for Proposals, the selected project will be installed on the Sarofim Picnic Lawn for 4-6 weeks in the Fall of 2025. The total project budget is $80,000, inclusive of all costs.

The artists will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the authentic culture of Meghalaya. They will be given dedicated time for individual contemplation and the creation of their artworks in a studio space conveniently located near their accommodation. Interaction between the invited artists and local artists from Meghalaya is encouraged and anticipated. Additionally, the artists will have the chance to share their knowledge through organized workshops conducted for local schools.

At the conclusion of the residency program, a final exhibition will be organized, during which each artist will present the artworks created during the residency and share their experiences with the invited guests.

Discovery Green Conservancy is seeking proposals for a temporary outdoor art installation that will captivate and resonate with the park’s diverse audiences. Weingarten Art Group, on behalf of Discovery Green Conservancy, invites artists to propose projects that inspire exploration, magic, and joy in this vibrant urban park – one of Houston’s most beloved public spaces. The selected project will be installed on the Sarofim Picnic Lawn for 4-6 weeks in the Fall of 2025. Artists or artist teams with experience in outdoor public art are encouraged to apply, with special consideration given to Discovery Green’s Houston-based Art Lab Fellows.

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at Sulfur Studios, ARTS Southeast’s homebase, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, the district’s main thoroughfare, allowing the artists’ work to be on view to the community at all times. Visitors and passersby on the sidewalk witness the artists’ process as it unfolds in real time, seeing all the steps involved from concept to final execution. Community events like workshops, performances, public art projects and artist talks offer creative ways to interact with the public. The ON::View Residency supports artists from across the globe, working in all media.

The program is contemporary, flexible and relevant to artists practicing, working and living in regional, rural and remote Australia. It is designed as an applicant-led approach, addressing the needs of the individual in that time and place; offering a guaranteed income (for a short period) for an artist/ practitioner to develop their work, skills and networks or research. The fellowships value best practice, build connection, generate exchange and strengthen that national network of regional artists and communities.
