The Emmanuel College Art Department offers a six-week artist residency to four artists each summer. The residency supports a diverse group of artists, providing uninterrupted time and space for established and emerging artists to develop their work.
The Art Department specifically aims to award a residency to one individual from each of the four categories: ceramics, photography, printmaking and social practice. They strive to foster a supportive environment so artists have the opportunity to achieve their creative and artistic goals. The residency also plays an important role in advancing the visual arts on the Emmanuel campus, making contemporary art accessible to students, staff, and faculty.

The Island Press Artist Research Fellowship is a biennial residency open to artists who are in any stage of their career, who are under-recognized, and whose voices reveal significant potential. Paramount to the review of each proposal is an assessment of the quality of the artistic work. Island Press welcomes the opportunity to support projects that embody diverse perspectives. Candidates are asked to submit project proposals for a one-week residency at Island Press to conduct practice-based research in print media and/or multiples. The fellowship results in artifacts that stem from the artist’s proposal including, but not limited to, the creation and edition of fine art prints, with the expectation that ideas and projects evolve through experimentation and making during the residency.

The Art Colony provides artists with independent work space in professional studios amidst the backdrop of a stunning landscape. The Art Colony has two application periods for self-guided residencies. This application is for artists who are looking to schedule a residency from January - June, 2025. Self-guided residencies are fee-based residencies. Artists can work with outside grant sources to fund their time at the Art Colony. Art Scene West wants to celebrate this genre of Realism and the contemporary masters who carry on that tradition.

Bethany Presbyterian Church seeks Seattle-area-based BIPOC, Latine, and AAPI artists to create artwork that communicates solidarity with the BIPOC, Latine, and AAPI communities at this juncture in history and their belief that cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity, expression, and reconciliation are central to human flourishing. The finished piece will be for temporary outdoor or outward-facing display on the church grounds. It need not be religious in nature.
They are open to a wide variety of visual media. This commission is intended to generate new, publicly visible work. Prior projects include video projections, 2-D & 3-D window hangings and displays, murals, and free-standing sculptures on their large, flat lawn on Queen Anne Ave.

The Don Bachardy Fellowship at the Royal Drawing School enables a gifted and dedicated post-graduate artist from outside the United Kingdom to join the Royal Drawing School during the Summer Term each year. The next Don Bachardy Fellowship will take place during the Royal Drawing School Summer Term 28 April – 5 July 2025. The Don Bachardy Fellow will spend 3 full days per week for ten weeks, drawing alongside postgraduate students studying on the Royal Drawing School's MA level programme, The Drawing Year.
To assist with travel and accommodation costs, the Don Bachardy Fellow will be awarded a $5,000 stipend.

Blue Space Gallery - “Ephemeral Now”, an international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their medium and style. Submissions should revolve around the central theme of “Ephemeral Now”. The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers.
The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities.
Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

The Sculpture Center is seeking applicants for its 2026 Revealed Emerging Artist Series with an open call for artists. Emerging artists of the greater Ohio region (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, western Pennsylvania, western New York, or Ontario, Canada by birth, residency, or education, but need not be currently residing in the area) whose practice includes sculpture, installation, mixed and expanded media, relational aesthetics, and performance are eligible to apply. Eligible artists should be in the first ten years of their career and have a connection to the greater Ohio region. The series supports artists working in sculpture, installation, mixed and expanded media, relational aesthetics, and performance. Selected artists will receive an honorarium, travel stipend, and gallery support. The exhibitions will be held from January 2026 to January 2027.
