Are you a photographer or artist working on a relevant social issue in the Balkans (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia), and do you have a great idea for a visual story/project that needs funding? Then you may be eligible for the VID Grant.

The VID Grant supports emerging photographers and artists from the Balkans to create or complete a compelling, non-stereotypical and unconventional visual story or project on social issues relevant to the Balkan region. The winners of the VID Grant are selected by an independent, international jury of professionals within the photography industry. Scroll below to see this year’s jury composition.

Expressions of interest are now open for practicing contemporary artists to apply to undertake a supported site responsive studio-based residency at Sauerbier House in the beautiful coastal township of Port Noarlunga. Sauerbier House is located on Kaurna Yerta (Kaurna Country), south of Adelaide, South Australia. The Sauerbier House residency is an established program aimed to foster and support the professional development of contemporary arts practice while responding to the City of Onkaparinga.

The Cultural Arts Committee invites artists to create a signature sculptural installation for the roundabout at the north end of San Pablo Avenue. The selected artwork will serve as a visual landmark and reinforce the corridor’s evolving identity as a vibrant, design-forward public space. Artists are encouraged to consider scale, visibility, and durability in their concepts, and may propose either a single large-scale piece or a series of coordinated elements. Works that incorporate lighting to enhance nighttime presence are strongly encouraged. Water and kinetic features will not be considered.

The City of Auburn, Washington, seeks applications from regional artists to install 3-dimensional or multi-media art installations in two site-specific gallery spaces in downtown Auburn: the Art on Main Gallery and the Vault Gallery. Both spaces provide a $1,000 artist stipend to support the creation of new work and site-specific projects, or the installation of existing work.

In honor of patrons Fleur and Charles Bresler, VisArts invites applications and proposals from local, national, and international artists for a four-month residency at our studios in Rockville, Maryland. The City of Wichita invites professional artists and artist teams with a demonstrated history of completing complex, permanent, outdoor public art projects to submit their qualifications for a $40,000 public art commission for A. Price Woodard Jr. Memorial Park. The start of this project is scheduled to begin in late fall/early winter of 2025. It is anticipated that the installation of the art will be completed in 2026. Emerging artists are encouraged to apply.

The City of Bloomington’s Office of Creative Placemaking and Parks and Recreation Department invite Minnesota-based public artists to submit qualifications for the design, fabrication, and installation of an interactive artistic sculpture which will be located at Bryant Park, serving as a striking focal point within the landscape.

This RFQ is open to experienced public artists and artist teams who have completed at least one commissioned outdoor public art sculpture with a budget of $20,000 or more in the past ten years. Applicants must be 18 years or older and residents of Minnesota, with priority consideration given to teams who include a Bloomington resident.

The City of Bloomington’s Office of Creative Placemaking and Parks and Recreation Department invite public artists to submit qualifications for the design, fabrication, and installation of an interactive artistic sculpture which will be located at Bryant Park, serving as a striking focal point within the landscape. The sculpture should be unique and specific to the site. The sculpture should have a theme drawing from nature, highlighting the importance of wetland and water quality improvements, providing an opportunity to inform and inspire visitors. The sculpture design must be inclusive, featuring accessible elements that ensure safety and accommodate a wide range of abilities and ages.

The Paris Photo–Aperture PhotoBook Awards are an annual celebration of the photobook’s enduring role within the narrative of photography. The awards, established in 2012, recognize excellence in three major categories of photobook publishing: First PhotoBook, PhotoBook of the Year, and Photography Catalog of the Year. Each year winners are selected from among nearly one thousand books submitted by artists and publishers from around the world. Each year, the thirty-five shortlisted books are exhibited around the world, ensuring maximum exposure for all titles, including the winners in each category. This year, in addition to being seen at Paris Photo, the shortlisted books will be exhibited at Printed Matter, New York; followed by venues to be announced. One passes through life, through time, and through doors and passageways. What have they seen? What have they missed? What have they experienced along the way?

This is a call for a juried group exhibition at GCAA ArtWorks Gallery, 5546 1st Ave. N., St. Petersburg FL 33710. A loose interpretation of the theme will be accepted, as well as all media including sculpture. Up to three works per artist will be considered. Maximum size 30x40 in.

30% sales commission of all accepted artwork will be retained by the Gulf Coast Artists' Alliance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Shipped artwork will be accepted with a return label.

The Dayton Society of Artists (DSA) is pleased to present LITHO-LINO-MONO-MORE 2025. All printmakers, 18 years or older, living, working, or attending school in the state of Ohio are eligible for entry. All art submitted must have printmaking incorporated in their production process: woodcut, etching, engraving, lithography, screen printing, etc. Photography, giclee prints, and digital work are not eligible unless they have additional printmaking elements. Traditional and non-traditional approaches are welcome. Erin Holscher Almazan will be this year’s juror, and $600 will be awarded in prizes.

Denver Public Art seeks to commission an artist or artist team to create public artworks for Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. The goal of the project is to incorporate permanent artwork into the park and amphitheatre, integrating natural and man-made areas at Red Rocks. The public art will serve to enhance the experience of those who visit Red Rocks but not detract from the natural landscape.

Stripped to its essentials—light, shadow, form, and texture—black-and-white photography invites viewers to see differently. It distills the world into tone and emotion, allowing mood and meaning to rise to the surface.

For this juried exhibition, they seek photographs that celebrate the monochrome palette in all its forms—from deep blacks to silvery grays, soft sepias to high-key whites. Whether analog or digital, documentary or abstract, they welcome images that embrace the expressive range of monochrome photography.

Artlink is now accepting submissions for their juried exhibition, The Body Re-Formed: Contemporary Approaches to Figure Drawing! Any artist 18+ years of age residing in the United States is eligible. Juried by professional artist and educator Christopher Ganz, this exhibition will explore the world of contemporary figure drawing. All works must be figure drawing-based, though media can vary, including graphite, charcoal, pastels of any kind, color pencils, crayons, markers, pens, pen and ink, ink washes, gouaches, watercolor, and combinations thereof. Collage elements can also be included. All work must be original, no reproduction prints.

The Young Creatives Lab program seeks proposals for new projects led by creatives aged 18 to 25 years. Artists of all disciplines are encouraged to apply, as well as inter-disciplinary creatives such as curators, producers, performers, designers, filmmakers, gamers, composers, new media artists and writers. Proposals may include an exhibition, installation, performance, conversation series, development of a publication, new composition or screen work.

This Excellence In Fibers is their 11th anniversary exhibition, bringing the best of current international fiber and textiles to a growing global fiber art community. Artists are encouraged to push the boundaries in the areas of installations, sculpture, vessels, wall/floor works, and wearable art. The exhibition will be featured in the winter 2025–2026 issue of Fiber Art Now to be released in early January 2026. Selected artwork will be eligible for the on-site exhibition at one of their partner venues.

The Hodder Fellowship will be given to artists of exceptional promise to pursue independent projects with Princeton University during the 2026-2027 academic year. Potential Hodder Fellows are composers, choreographers, performance artists, visual artists, translators, writers, or other kinds of artists or humanists who are selected more "for promise than for performance" and have "much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts" as traditionally defined. Hodder Fellows spend an academic year with Princeton, but no formal teaching is involved. A $93,000 stipend is provided for this 10-month appointment as a Visiting Fellow. The Lewis Center is committed to fostering an academic environment that acknowledges and encourages community. The successful candidate will pursue academic excellence in University settings.

The Multicultural Senior Center will serve as a welcoming and comfortable gathering space for the Pine Hills residents, who have long been dedicated advocates of community unity. The center will provide a relaxing environment for hosting programs, workshops, games, and craft activities, as well as active offerings such as Zumba. The Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Department seeks to commission a local professional muralist to design and complete one 13’ x 22’ Mural at Pleasant Lea Park located at 1100 SW Walnut St, Lee's Summit, MO 64081.
