In the absence of the colors of the rainbow - contrast, textures patterns and even emotions can become the focus of our work. In this new Fall show Pour-d would like to invite you to share your creative and striking imagery in black, white and all the shades in between.

Are you an artist that utilizes repurposed materials? Found objects, paper, reused canvas, etc.? It’s Englewood’s first street festival of arts—art made primarily using recycled materials. Presented by Englewood Arts and benefiting The Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity, Re: ART is a unique expression of our community-wide commitment to arts and preservation of the neighborhood.

Entries are now being accepted for The 14th Epson International Pano Awards, an online photography competition dedicated to panoramic photography. US$40,000 prize pool, including $14,000 cash. Other prizes include Epson printers and a Nikon camera. Jury includes Erin Babnik, Isabella Tabacchi, Tim Shields, Jarrod Castaing, Juan Pablo deMiguel, Craig Bill, Felix Inden. Open to artists worldwide, no age restrictions, professional or amateur. 

This free-to-enter prize is an international art initiative from M&C Saatchi Group and Saatchi Gallery. This year’s prize asks emerging artists to creatively respond to the theme of Regeneration. A total prize fund of £20,000 will be split between six winners, and winning artists will be able to exhibit their work at Saatchi Gallery in London. Entry is open to emerging artists based in: UK, Europe, Americas, Asia, Australia, Middle East & Africa. A winner from each location will be decided by the judging panel before a grand jury selects the overall winner.

The Visionary Art Show is a month-long show each August at the Creamery Gallery in Hotchkiss, CO. Sponsored by the Shamanic Arts Center entries are expected to have shamanic subject matter. The exhibit is open to wall hangings, sculptures, & installations such as altars. The exhibit will feature two receptions - one opening reception and one in conjunction with the Traveling Shamans Camp 2023 on August 25, 2023. Deadline for entry is July 20th.

The Arizona Commission on the Arts is now accepting applications for 2024 Research & Development (R&D) Grants! R&D Grants provide up to $5,000 in funding support to Arizona artists as they work to advance their artistic practice, expand their creative horizons, and deepen the impact of their work.

Whether you’re just getting started or you have already experienced many career successes, the R&D Grant is available to help you take your artistic practice to the next level, including:

exploration of new techniques
experimentation with new materials or technologies

This grant is available to Arizona artists working in any discipline. Applicants must be individuals and may submit only one application per year. Organizations are not eligible to apply. At the time an application is submitted, and the grant is awarded, an applicant must be:

18 years of age or older;
not enrolled for more than three credit hours at a college or university;
and a resident of Arizona.
Recipients of the R&D Grant must wait 4 years to reapply and may receive a maximum of 4 awards in their lifetime.

Rosewood Gallery in Kettering, Ohio announces a call for entries for the 16th Annual HWD Juried Sculpture Exhibition for artists living in Ohio and surrounding states. This is a regional call. Entries must be original works in sculpture (3-D), completed within the last four years.

Plaza Walls is a curated, rotating mural project in the Plaza District of Oklahoma City managed and produced by The Oklahoma Mural Syndicate (OMS). The project was launched in September 2015 by Dylan Bradway and Kristopher Kanaly with approval by the Oklahoma City Arts Commission and Urban Design Commission. OMS was founded by Brandi Guthery, Dylan Bradway and Kristopher Kanaly with a mission to advocate and create public art throughout Oklahoma.

The 94th Michigan Contemporary Art Exhibition continues a rich legacy of showcasing the work of Michigan artists, from talented beginners to accomplished professionals. A competitive/juried show, the Michigan Contemporary presents a look at the issues, themes, and materials inspiring today’s Michigan artists. Featured media include painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and installation. A visitor favorite, the exhibition engages, challenges, and inspires conversation. Entry is open to Michigan residents ages 18 and over.

Franke Tobey Jones in Tacoma, WA seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, October 18-22. Awards will be given for First ($250), Second ($150), and Third place ($100), People's Choice award ($150), and 3 Honorable Mentions ($50 each). Jurors: Amy Bader, Ivy Bowers, Heide Fernandez-Llamazares, and Zachary Z. Sofia. Artists must be 55 years of age or older. Entries must be entirely the original work of the artist and created within the last three years (October 2020 - September 2023). Two-dimensional works on paper must be protected with glass or Plexiglass. Work must be sturdily framed and have hanging wires. No sawtooth hangers. Two-dimensional work must not exceed 60" in width or 40" in height, including frame. Sculpture may not exceed 60"x24"x24". Jewelry or textile pieces must come ready to hang or display using the guidelines for sizes above.

AuSable Artisan Village in Grayling, Michigan is proud to present an international art exhibition offering over $10,000 in Awards. The 2023 juried show will be held at Artisan Village art gallery in downtown Grayling. We are seeking artworks from artists in all styles and mediums, with no specific theme.

Artists living with a chronic gastrointestinal disorder (such as IBS, Gastroparesis, etc.) or artists who know someone with a gastrointestinal disorder are welcome to apply.

Selected artworks will be displayed on the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders' website. This digital exhibition aims to help raise awareness for these disorders' emotive and physical struggles.

We are looking for works that explore what it is like to live with a gastrointestinal disorder.

The Annual Juried Members Exhibition is the New Britain Museum of American Art’s opportunity to expose contemporary visual arts to a wide audience. This prominent showcase in the Northeast region highlights the exceptional work of emerging and established artists in all media.

The Brookings Public Arts Commission is seeking designs that can be reproduced as a vinyl wrap and applied to utility boxes within the City of Brookings. This opportunity is open to amateur and professional artists of all levels, all ages, working in any medium, as long as the final artwork can be translated and digitally reproduced on a 2-dimensional vinyl wrap. Please note red fades faster than cool colors and we ask artists to consider that.
Up to 8 artists will be chosen for this round of art wraps. Selected artists will be awarded $1,000 per box design which includes licensing rights that will enable the Commission to reproduce the final design on utility boxes within the City. Artists can submit up to 4 designs. Vinyl wraps are intended to be installed before Winter 2023.
The general theme to this call is to celebrate Brookings. Artists are encouraged to think about our history, the contributions that inhabitants made, the creativity of our inhabitants, what Brookings is known for, what ideas or products or inventions came from Brookings. The design will be in the style and medium best determined by the artist but must integrate the front, back, and sides of the box to capture the interest of those that drive, ride, and walk by. Attached is a prototype template of the boxes.
The final artwork must be submitted as a high-quality digital file by 5:00 p.mp, Friday, July 28, 2023. If artwork is not inherently a digital file, artist must submit a high-resolution scan or photograph of the work, suitable for use. The City of Brookings will be responsible for printing and installation of the box wraps

The Louisiana Percent for Art Program seeks artists or artist teams to design and implement an interior site-specific sculptural installation of original design for the Coastal Center at Nicholls State University. The installation should represent the wind-swept trees commonly seen on forested islands and other areas directly affected by continuous Gulf winds.

Community Impact Micro Grants provide $1,000 in funding to non-profit organizations or individual artists for arts & cultural projects and activities that enable Nassau and Suffolk communities to experience and engage with the performing, literary, media, and visual arts on a bimonthly basis

The Clearwater Public Art & Design Program seeks an artist or artist team to develop artwork for the newly constructed Fire Station 46 in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The fire station is located just steps from Pinellas County’s top tourist destination, Clearwater Beach. Being located at such a popular site, the fire station receives thousands of visitors from around the world every year. The city is looking for an engaging sculpture with glass elements to add to the visitor experience. The sculpture will sit in front of the fire station next to a busy sidewalk and commuter street. The structure should also contain a light element, either beneath the base of the sculpture to illuminate from within or uplighting so passersby can enjoy the sculpture in the day or night. Themes and topics suggested but not limited to fire elements, water elements, and/or fire station patches that firefighters exchange with other city and state fire departments.

The Bicentennial Park group of the Bicentennial Macon 200 seeks artists to submit qualifications for public artwork(s) in the Bicentennial Park. The park is adjacent to the Ocmulgee National Historical Park and the Mill Hill Community Center. The artwork(s) will be sited in locations within the greater Park site. The artwork (s) shall reflect on the history of Macon.
This artwork (s) should:
• Commemorate the history of Macon evoking emotion. Macon’s history includes hurt, segregation, harshness – many feelings that can be acknowledged.
• Create interest in and around healing past and present, reconciliation and restoration.
• Inspire people to see the Macon community with hope and a spirit for equity, empathy, social justice, and wholeness of community for the future.

Journey will be a virtual installment of contemporary works of art that exemplify the idea of travel. This can include, but is not limited to: travel, vacation, personal journey, healing journey, crossing, exploration, progress, roaming, voyage, etc. Theme is open for artist interpretation. The gallery will be on virtual display between August 1 – August 31, 2023.

ENTRY PROCEDURE
Entry is done through CaFÉ, a web-based service that allows artists to upload images and organize their artwork for submissions to galleries. To apply for a call, you must leave our website and go to the CaFÉ website at www.callforentry.org where you can create a FREE artist account. You will add your details and upload your images to CaFÉ and then you can submit work to CREATIVE LICENSE. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] we are happy to walk you through the process.

MEDIA PREPARATION
Please only submit properly cropped images of your work that are in focus.
All images must be in JPEG/JPG format using CaFÉ guidelines. The image size must be 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Maximum file size is 5 mb.
Accepted video formats include MOV, MP4, WMV. Aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, resolution minimum 640x480, maximum 1920 x1080, bit rate recommended above 240 kbps, recommended frame rate 30 fps. File size must be under 100 MB.

NOTIFICATION
Notification will be done by email, everyone who submits will be notified of the juror’s selections. If for any reason you do not hear from us by the notification date, please check the filters in your email account. Notification emails are sent to the email on file with CaFÉ.

SALES
All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist’s website and/or contact information. For any artwork that is sold, the artists receive 100% of the sale.

GIVING BACK
A portion of the proceeds from the entry fees is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.

REQUIRED FORMS
Cash awards over $600 are subject to federal income tax withholding within the United States. A W-9 form must be filled out by the winner and submitted to Art Fluent, Inc.

Sedona Arts Center turns 65 this year. This exhibit kicks off our theme for our anniversary year. Numbers can conjure up many things and Sedona Arts Center wants to know What numbers are important to you? For Example: 2–the number of cats you have; 10 -the number of grandchildren you have; 18 –the first time you got to vote; 1994 –the year you got married, etc. This exhibit asks artists to interpret how and what numbers have impacted their lives. Work should reflect the theme of numbers in some way. All art mediums will be accepted.
● Monetary awards will be given for First Place/Best of Show Award ($500), Second ($250) and Third ($150) place.
● Honorable mention awards will be awarded at the discretion of the jurors and no monetary amount attached.

Wickford Art Association is launching its National 2023 from Ordinary to Extraordinary exhibit with Juror David DeMelim, an accomplished photographer who resides in Rhode Island.
The title “From Ordinary to Extraordinary” can be interpreted in a variety of ways. Something ‘ordinary’ follows the norm. Something ‘extraordinary’ goes beyond what is expected. Do you have a photograph that captures ‘the wow’ of an image in an ‘extraordinary’ way? The image may even elicit an emotion from the viewer, with a level of poignancy, or amusement.
Perhaps your image takes something ‘ordinary' and pictures it in a new, eye-opening context, making your subject resonate in an ‘extraordinary’ way. This theme can be interpreted in a variety of ways. The above are some prompts to assist photographers when choosing what images to submit for jurying.
We are looking for works from the past three years that haven’t yet been exhibited at our gallery. This is your chance!

The El Paso Museum of Art (EPMA) announces the 2024 Border Biennial / Bienal Fronteriza 2024 to be presented December 15, 2023 – April 14, 2024.

The 2024 Border Biennial / Bienal Fronteriza 2024 will focus on the unique identity of the borderland, which includes a diversity of experiences. The exhibition will explore how the definition of “the border,” has helped shape artists’ artistic practice and make up who they are, including their history, gender, culture, race, sexuality, etc. The 2024 Border Biennial is curated by Claudia S. Preza M.A., EPMA Assistant Curator, alongside curatorial advisors Edgar Picazo Merino and Jazmín Ontiveros Harvey. Engaging programming and a publication capturing the show will accompany the exhibition. While the artworks in the Border Biennial focus on the United States / Mexico border, the exhibition provides an opportunity to reflect on borders and their conditions worldwide.

Entries can be submitted by individuals of any nationality. Individuals must live and work within a 200-mile radius of the United States / Mexico border. For artists’ collectives, at least one member must live or work in this geographic area and must be the applicant and point of contact for the collective. Artists selected for the Biennial may be asked to exhibit artworks submitted, other existing artworks, or newly commissioned works.

Dates:

Each applicant must submit images or files for no less than two and no more than five artworks dating from January 1, 2021. All questions must be answered for application to be submitted.

The deadline for applications to the 2024 Border Biennial is 11:59 pm MST on Sunday, July 30, 2023. An incomplete or late submission will result in the application not being reviewed. There are no exceptions.
