The TBW Drawing Prize exhibition and awards are open to applications by emerging, mid-career and established drawing practitioners based anywhere in the UK and internationally. Up to three drawings made since January 2021 may be entered by each applicant for consideration by the Selection Panel.

£17,000 will be awarded in cash prizes.

Yosemite Renaissance announces a call to artists for a juried art competition, May 1 - December 31, 2023 (approx) traveling throughout Central California. $4,000 in cash awards. Hosted annually by Spiva Center for the Arts, the competition is open to all amateur and professional US photographers. Established in 1977, PhotoSpiva is the longest-running competition of its kind. PhotoSpiva 2023 will be the first PhotoSpiva to be presented at the new Spiva galleries at the state-of-the-art Harry M. Cornell Arts and Entertainment Complex.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best nonobjective or nonrepresentational art. All artists, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best abstract art and photography.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces its 23rd “Solo Art Series” Online Art Competition. This competition will result in an award of 4 monthly solo art exhibitions. In addition, the gallery will award the next 8 juried artists a feature in the gallery’s Artist Showcase Section.

The PleinAir Salon $33,000 Art Competition is a monthly online competition consisting of 19 categories. We award over $33,000 each year for this competition. The Annual Grand Prize winner receives a check for $15,000 and is featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. We award an additional $6,500 to the annual winners and award $1,100 monthly to the top three winners of each competition as well as a People’s Choice Award. Each of the 23 monthly winners will be automatically entered into the Annual Competition. The annual awards are presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo each spring.

Because this competition is created by PleinAir magazine, which features not only plein air paintings, but also studio paintings, all types of paintings are eligible and do not need to have been completed in plein air. As we know, many studio paintings start with plein air sketches, and many plein air painters paint figures and still life. Our interest is in rewarding great paintings.

The 37th Annual LowellArts West Michigan Art Competition highlights outstanding artwork by Lower West Michigan artists who reside in a 25-county region. Fusion Art invites submissions for the 8th Annual Landscapes art competition for an online exhibition during the month of February 2023.

Accepted works will be exhibited March 18 - April 22, 2023 at the Historic Cane Hill Gallery in Canehill, AR. The Artists Gallery (TAG) has created The Shelley Lazarus Award for Excellence in Watercolor to honor Shelley Lazarus, a current and Founding Member of TAG Gallery since 1993. She is a Los Angeles-based watercolor artist and teacher. Her work is in numerous public, corporate and private collections in the U.S. and abroad including the library at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Shelley’s work was seen at in the International Art Competition for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She is a member of the Watercolor Honor Society and a signature member of the Oklahoma National Watercolor Society. 

GALEX is a national competition and exhibition celebrating its 55th year. Open to artists working in all mediums, this year's juror, Claire Ashley, will award over $2,500 in prizes choosing over 75 works for the exhibition. DEADLINE: February 7, 2023 at 11:59pm

Blue Line Arts is pleased to announce the call for ceramic art for our annual show, Off Center: An International Ceramic Art Competition. Open to U.S. residents, 18 years or older, working in the following disciplines: painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, fiber, glass, ceramics, wood, metal and mixed media. All work submitted must be original (no reproductions), not done under supervision, not made from kits or patterns. All work must be suitably prepared for installation. The curator reserves the right to deny entry if any work is deemed not suitable for display or too difficult to install. Entries must have been completed after January 1, 2014, and not previously exhibited in a Lynchburg juried art show. 

This 9th Annual Allegany National Photography Competition & Exhibition (ANPCE), sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council, will meld the region's rich concentration of photographic artists with an influx of national photographers in a juried competition offering $6,500 in cash prizes.

The 36th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition will be juried by Johanna Gosse, Assistant Professor of Art History & Visual Culture, University of Idaho and Executive Editor of Media-N: Journal of the New Media Caucus.
Eligible for entry are works in any medium that is on or of paper. The artwork, including frame, should not exceed 40 inches in any dimension.

Cannibals of Love takes as its inspiration the romantic comedy genre in film and television – the “Rom Com” – to “cast” an exhibition that explores themes of love and humor.

This is an open-call. Visual artists are invited to submit works of art that are inspired by, critique, or reflect notions of heartache, summer flings, awkward love triangles, unlikely couples, one-night stands, unrequited loves, the “meet cute,” or other tropes of Rom Coms. More specifically, submitted works will explore romance and/or humor in relation to cinematically-scaled stories of pathos and eros.

Although the prompt might at first appear to engage with light-hearted frivolities, the curators seek a nuanced survey of contemporary artistic responses to love and power, as well as a diverse examination of relationships and romance. With the mention of cannibals in its title, the exhibition also welcomes investigations about the intersections of desire, appetites, and other perceived taboos and “improper” behaviors largely absent from or suppressed by Hollywood and Hallmark. Moreover, the curators invite critical approaches to the conventional heteronormativity, pervasive whiteness, and gender politics of the film genre.

Ultimately, the artists in the exhibition, selected for their range of perspectives, identities and works across visual media, will provide viewers with new and inclusive insights into the shared human impulses to love and laugh.

Other visual or experiential “cues” that the curators imagine could be pertinent include: period drama, summer blockbuster, forbidden love, unlikely pairings, doubts at the altar, attention-grabbing movie trailers, sequels, and celebrity, among others.

Open to all visual media, including film/video and text.

The "Art Talent Fair" prize, a contemporary art award dedicated to emerging artists, offers you the opportunity to exhibit your art taking part in the "Lucca Art Fair", in the prestigious setting of the Royal College of Lucca in the heart of Tuscany, April 21-23, 2023. It's a great opportunity for the 10 selected artists who will exhibit their art at the stand of the Moho Art Gallery. The prize is given to the best international talents in contemporary art and is reserved for artworks with a value of up to € 5,000.
