I found this painting when I was digging through the racks around February 2022. It had a wonderful large magenta plane against a grey ground. I had left it unfinished before moving from my old studio, around 2018, and suddenly I felt I knew just what to do with it, adding the deep crimson field, spots of orange on lavender, some green and red, and a bit of scratchy drawing. To me it has the flavor of a cheeky still life in a room with a window.
