I’ve always loved to draw, and feel a huge debt of gratitude to Nick Carone, my teacher many years ago at the N.Y. Studio School. He taught me about the tension between the 2 dimensional picture plane & the 3- dimensional space of the motif, rhythmic relationships of parts to each other & to the whole, engaging of the entire picture plane, the use of metaphor, and much more. Years later, this drawing is evidence that my search continues to involve many of these issues.
