The 2300 square foot gallery space welcomes proposals for 2D, 3D, installation, and video work. Both solo and group exhibition proposals will be considered. The Alexander Brest Gallery, under the direction of Gallery Director Zakriya Rabani, is located at the Linda Berry Stein College of Arts & Sciences on Jacksonville University’s historic campus. JU’s main campus is located in a beautiful riverfront setting in suburban Jacksonville, across the St. Johns River from downtown and just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean. The 240-acre campus includes a half-mile of riverfront, oak-lined paths, and a mix of historic and new campus buildings.

Blue Sky 2026 Pacific Northwest Drawers

Blue Sky, Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts, is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Pacific Northwest Drawers. Photographic artists based in Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington are welcome to apply. There is no application fee to enter. Since 2007, with the establishment of the Pacific Northwest Drawers (PNW Drawers) program, Blue Sky has been showcasing the diverse photography coming out of the region. Annually, photographers from the Pacific Northwest are selected by an outside jury to exhibit 10 prints in accessible drawers for a year. The role of the juror is to determine from the submissions the strongest and the most evocative work representing a wide range of styles, subject matter, themes, and photographic processes.

Artists of all disciplines creating in any media are welcome to apply. Farm Studio International Artist Residency is located in a rural community in India. Residents stay and create in a quiet art centre and beautiful environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. Farm Studio residency provides three types of working spaces where artists can explore their art and ideas in the rural Rajasthani environment; at the Farm Studio indoor studios, the outdoor desert and farm environments, and in Andore Village. Collaboration and experimentation is encouraged. Relationships form between the artists coming from different countries and varied social, cultural, and artistic backgrounds. Many exciting exchanges and dialogues among artists take place, including scheduled artist talks, presentations, works in progress showings, etc.

Visual Art Journal is a magazine that selects and publishes works of talented emerging artists.
Magazine features up to 120 elegantly designed pages, printed on high-quality paper and is distributed worldwide.
Artists are encouraged to submit their work. Submission is free for all applicants.
Submissions are open to artists from any country who are 18 years and older. All forms of visual art are accepted.
Selected artists will be featured in both the print and digital versions of the magazine.
Chosen artists will receive a free digital copy of the magazine (in PDF format) and photos of their physical magazine pages.

Beam Camp is a specialized summer camp for building and collaboration located in Strafford, NH. Their award-winning program offers youth (ages 10-17) the opportunity to cultivate hands-on skills while exploring innovative thinking, design, problem solving and the creative process.
Every year, Beam Camp solicits proposals for unique and spectacular large-scale projects that serve as the centerpiece for the 29-day session of camp.

There are a couple of city beaches within walking distance. There is no obligation to put on a presentation at the end of an artist’s stay but if desired we often have one-night-only shows.
