Carolinas Rehabilitation is looking for local and regional artists (North and South Carolina) to submit pieces to be hung in their newly renovated, high-traffic space. Every three months the gallery will be filled with new art, chosen by a committee. The artists chosen for each time period will be able to display 3 pieces of art. They are looking for art that creates a positive and welcome distraction for their patients and visitors.

This is a busy lobby and connects to their flagship hospital. The campus is 4 million square feet. This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent while gaining tremendous exposure. Proposals for your submissions should inspire positive reflection with a focus on community; health, hope and healing.

Arts Letters & Numbers is a year-round Artist Residency providing a creative sanctuary in the historic Faith Mills Complex in rural Upstate New York. The residency fosters an environment of creative urgency and collaboration, offering inspiring spaces like a warm Victorian home, a white barn, and textile mills turned into studios, all surrounded by woods, lakes, and opportunities for connection. Residents have the freedom to shape their workspace and rhythms while engaging in shared meals, bonfire conversations, and community programming, including open studios, workshops, exhibitions, and more. With seasonal residencies lasting 1 to 12 weeks, the program welcomes artists to explore their work and contribute to the inclusive dialogue through proposed projects such as performances or lectures. 

Artists who are interested in creating artwork that celebrates the sacred nature of Día de los Muertos (DDLM) are invited to submit proposals to create an original artwork for the 2025 community DDLM celebrations. Cheyenne’s DDLM celebrations offer public places to celebrate and a variety of opportunities to learn about the history, traditions, and significance of DDLM.

The Cheyenne Día de los Muertos celebrations are family-friendly and inclusive of all people. Artwork must be appropriate for children. Artists are encouraged to reflect on their own cultural and traditional connections to DDLM when creating their artwork. Artists should be members of a community that celebrates DDLM.

Up to six best in show artists will have their work published in the catalogue with detailed critical essays written by the curator. Artists participating in the online exhibit will have two works of art on display and a link to their artist website. Artists keep 100% sales of their work.

The City of Merriam’s Public Art Committee is seeking qualifications from professional artists or artist teams for a public art project on the Merriam Community Center campus in Merriam, Kansas. The Artist in Residence (AIR) Program at Recology King County offers a unique opportunity for artists to expand their studio practice by working with reusable resources. Modeled after the San Francisco program, it encourages conservation of natural resources and inspires artists to consider consumption habits, waste disposal, and sustainability. The four-month residency provides artists with a stipend, access to discarded materials, administrative support, and culminates in a public exhibition. Artists are expected to create a body of work using reclaimed materials and engage with the community through their art.

Seeking inventive artworks that explore the form and conceptual possibilities of the book, including printed and linear, hand-crafted and tactile, abstract and questioning, edition and one-of-a-kind interpretations of what a book is and can be. They are curious about artists’ books, altered books, sculptural books, book objects, and zines. They encourage artists to consider surprising solutions that can unfold on the wall, unfurl from the ceiling, or sprawl on the floor.

The University of Wyoming Art Museum invites submissions for its 50th Annual Juried Student Exhibition. This year's theme, "Sense of Place," encourages works that explore the relationship between people and their environments. The exhibition offers students a professional platform to showcase their art in a museum setting. Juror Jenene Nagy, an artist and curator from Riverside, California, will select the pieces for display. Works not chosen for the main exhibition will be featured in the Salon des Refusés, organized by the Student Art League.

The City of Petoskey is seeking submissions for a public artwork to be installed in Sunset Park, located on the shores of Little Traverse Bay. The artwork should engage the spirit of the site, be safe for public interaction, and enhance visitors' experiences in all seasons without obstructing the spectacular view. The scope of the project includes all aspects from conceptualization to installation, with the city providing concrete bases, lighting, and landscape preparation as needed.

A Saltonstall residency is a small community. They strive to provide a quiet, inviting, respectful, and nurturing community for creative individuals looking for uninterrupted time to focus on their craft.

There are just five individuals in residence at a time: one poet, one playwright or screenwriter, one photographer or filmmaker, and two visual artists. Each group of five arrives and departs at the same time.

The Interdisciplinary Residency Programme 2025 is open to those working across the arts, who have urgent projects to address, or require time to focus on a specific area of development in their work. The programme is open to applications from National and International artists, researchers and creative practitioners working across all art forms. This can include, but is not limited to, writers, musicians, architects, producers, dancers, choreographers, curators, designers, educators and researchers.

The Interdisciplinary Residency is an opportunity to spend two weeks of highly focused time with peers working in a broad range of practices and can be a test bed for new ideas and work.

The City of Loveland's Art in Public Places program invites Colorado artists to submit original two-dimensional artworks for a one-year on-loan exhibition at the Loveland Public Library’s Central Galleria. This initiative aims to promote regional artists through public display and provides opportunities for artwork sales. Selected pieces will also inspire collaborative poetry from local poets, enhancing the exhibit's depth and community engagement.

The McKnight Foundation and the Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center of St. Paul have partnered to launch the first-ever McKnight Artist Fellowship for culture bearers. The McKnight Culture Bearers Fellowship will support three culture bearers who practice sacred and healing lifeways and share cultural art practices across generations. Fellows will receive a $25,000 unrestricted award and public recognition in support of their cultural practice.

Sloss Metal Arts offers 3-year, full-time work-residencies in Birmingham, AL, working in Sloss' historic iron foundry. Resident Artists are the lifeblood of the Sloss Metal Arts program. This is a full-time work-residency position, with time divided between Sloss commission and outreach projects and your personal artistic practice. Resident Artists perform all foundry related tasks as well as fabrication, maintenance, & education. They work closely with the Foundry Manager and Metal Arts Director to meet Sloss Metal Arts' mission through compelling artistic programming and visionary strategic planning. Ideal candidates will be experienced in a variety of foundry processes, actively creating and exhibiting artwork, and have completed a related academic degree. Resident Artists are provided with a livable salary, insurance, materials stipend, and work space in our historic foundry.

The Hugo Burge Foundation is offering free studios to emerging makers for a period of 12 months. The studios are located in historic buildings set in the beautiful landscape of the Scottish Borders. Springboard tenants will join a larger creative community, including potters, silversmiths, chair-makers, sculptors, and artists visiting on monthly residencies. Tenants are expected to contribute to this community during their time, participating in Open Studios, social events, and offering talks or workshops where appropriate. Affordable accommodation for up to two tenants is available at nearby Fogo Cottage.

Gatton Park seeks artists to design and paint a mural on a vintage R.J. Corman boxcar, measuring approximately 1,725 square feet. This boxcar will serve as the primary outdoor structure for the park's food and beverage services. The mural should be site-specific, engaging, and sensitive to the historic landscape of the park. The project budget ranges from $55,000 to $60,000, covering the artist's fee, materials, and related expenses. Finalists will receive an additional $1,000 upon submission of a complete site-specific proposal. A travel stipend of up to $700 is available for finalists conducting a site visit during the proposal phase.

The City of Olympia is seeking up to 18 loaned sculptures from Washington and Oregon state artists for temporary outdoor display on Percival Landing a popular .9 mile waterfront boardwalk and sculpture promenade located at the tip of the Puget Sound in the shadow of the state Capitol located in Olympia, WA. Selected artists receive a $1,000 honorarium for the one-year loan of their work and are eligible for consideration for the Peoples’ Prize purchase award of up to $10,000, where one sculpture is selected for purchase by public vote and added to the City’s public art collection.
Artists who are Black or Indigenous, people of color, transgender, non-binary, LGBTQ, immigrants, people with disabilities, and women are encouraged to apply.

The City of Pompano Beach seeks an artist or artist team to design and install a significant horizontal sculpture at the southeast end of Pompano Beach Community Park, along Federal Highway. The artwork should be whimsical, surreal, or symbolic of movement, excluding kinetic elements. The artist is responsible for incorporating up-lighting and constructing the foundation.

The Vera List Center for Art and Politics invites applications for its 2025–2027 Fellowships, focusing on the theme "Matter of Intelligence." The two-year, non-residential fellowships support artists, writers, scholars, and activists whose work critically engages with this theme. Fellows receive a $25,000 stipend, curatorial and professional development support, and access to the Vera List Center's resources. Projects should explore intelligence as a subject with tangible, material implications, considering its manifestations through human cognition, natural processes, or artificial systems.

In order to be able to slow down life, they believe it is worth breaking routines from time to time – this is why artist-in-residencies have spread as a way of enhancing creativity. The notion of the AIR could be expanded by not having artists exclusively at the specific location, but enabling them to mix with academic researchers. They believe heterogeneity always helps, thus, the more people could broaden their comprehensions of their worlds, the better for humankind!
Their goal is to host, in this hybridised form of staying, people who are ready to leave the routines of their home behind and spend time in our company thinking, working, relaxing, discussing in-house.

The Luminarts Visual Arts Fellowship supports excellence in visual arts, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, and moving images. Fellows receive a $10,000 award, eligibility for future funding, and professional development for a decade. Finalists participate in an exhibition in downtown Chicago, showcasing their work and engaging with the community. Moving images can be part of submissions, but short films are not accepted

VisArts invites emerging curators to collaborate with an experienced mentoring curator to develop and present an exhibition at the Kaplan Gallery in fall 2025. This year-long program, starting in January 2025, offers practical, hands-on experience in a community arts organization, focusing on curatorial research, exhibition design, and public programming.

Are you an artist in need of critical medical, mental health, or dental treatment? The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent, unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies experienced by artists anywhere in the US in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, or choreography. Privacy is guaranteed. Cycle 28 is open through January 14 for emergencies that occurred June 1, 2024 and after.

The State of Kansas seeks proposals from qualified artists or teams to design, fabricate, and install large-scale public artworks for the newly reconstructed Docking State Office Building in Topeka. Two projects are available: a sculptural interpretation of the American bison and an aerial installation representing Kansas skies. Each work should reflect Kansas's unique character and spirit, engaging viewers through creativity and artistic excellence.

The Blake School in the Twin Cities, MN, welcomes proposals for its 2025-2026 McGuire Visiting Artist residency. Established in 1993 by Dr. Bill and Nadine McGuire, the biennial program seeks a teaching artist to collaborate with visual art faculty and students in grades Pre-K through 12.

Their most successful McGuire visiting artists enrich Blake’s visual arts curriculum with their cultural diversity, hands-on learning experiences, and community-driven art projects. The program’s structure is flexible and a residency will be scheduled between October 2025 and April 2026. Minimum residency length is two weeks. The typical budget range is $4,000 to $6,500. Travel and lodging expenses are typically covered for resident artists from outside the Twin Cities Metro Area.

V4L initiates and facilitates customized creative residencies across all disciplines. The focus is on identifying and addressing themes of rural transition—through participatory research with creatives and communities in the exurban environment of the Shenandoah Valley (Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland.) Our approach is simultaneously artist-initiated and community-driven. Residents are given production help and space, administrative assistance, networking opportunities, as well as guidance on local customs and issues relating to contemporary rural life. Open to all artists, movers, scientists, farmers, historians, musicians, writers, journalists, filmmakers, and others.

Ucross strives to provide a respectful, comfortable, and productive environment, freeing artists from the pressures and distractions of daily life. Each year, they provide residencies to approximately 115 individuals. Residencies range from two weeks to six weeks in length. At any one time, there are up to ten individuals in residence, typically four writers, four visual artists, and two composers. Ucross provides each artist with living accommodations, meals, work space, and uninterrupted time so that the artists can focus on their creative process. Residents are responsible for providing their own working materials and for their travel to Sheridan, Wyoming. There is no charge for a residency. The residency program is open to visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, interdisciplinary artists, performance artists, and collaborative teams.

The Grants for Artists program fosters Oklahoma’s visual artistic creative excellence. The grants committee supports the mission of OVAC and scores submissions based on the merit of each application according to the pertinent grant category and its associated criteria. Grants for Artists help individual Oklahoma artists create visual art for public presentation, develop their professional practices, and lead community projects. Grants are open to artists working in visual-based mediums, curation, and art writing.

The Emmanuel College Art Department offers a six-week artist residency to four artists each summer. The residency supports a diverse group of artists, providing uninterrupted time and space for established and emerging artists to develop their work.   
 
The Art Department specifically aims to award a residency to one individual from each of the four categories: ceramics, photography, printmaking and social practice. They strive to foster a supportive environment so artists have the opportunity to achieve their creative and artistic goals. The residency also plays an important role in advancing the visual arts on the Emmanuel campus, making contemporary art accessible to students, staff, and faculty. 

Monson Arts’ residency program supports emerging and established artists and writers by providing them time and space to devote to their creative practices. During each of our 2-week and 4-week programs throughout the year, a cohort of 5 artists and 5 writers are invited to immerse themselves in small town life at the edge of Maine’s North Woods and focus intensely on their work within a creative and inspiring environment. They receive a private studio, private bedroom in shared housing, all meals, and $500 stipend ($250 for 2-week programs).

The Foundation wishes to encourage artists who have dedicated their lives to developing their art, regardless of their level of commercial success. This program was conceived in order to recognize and support the serious, fully-committed artist. 20 grants are awarded each year. Applications are reviewed by a panel of five professionals in the arts who have no affiliation with the Foundation. Please note that these grants are available only to individual painters, sculptors, and printmakers who have worked in a mature phase of art for 20 years or more.

Entry is free, and only artists whose pieces are chosen as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. Finalists will showcase their work in the online exhibition and advance to the final round of judging for a chance to receive cash prizes up to $1,000. See website for full details.

The Elephant Trust aims to support artists and small organizations in the fine arts by providing grants to facilitate the creation and exhibition of new work. Priority is given to imaginative proposals that may not easily secure funding from other sources. Applicants are encouraged to leverage these grants to obtain additional funding from organizations such as the Arts Council.
