Born and residing in Coyoacán, Mexico City, she drew inspiration from Mexican folk art, surrealism, and her own life experiences, incorporating vibrant colors, indigenous motifs, and surreal imagery into her work. As the first Mexican female artist to have her work displayed in the Louvre, Kahlo gained international recognition, exhibiting in Mexico, the U.S., and Europe. Her unique visual storytelling continues to influence generations of artists and spark conversations on feminism, disability, and cultural identity.
