Let us embrace the wisdom of the Forest. GrandMother Ayahuasca provides for us a sacred space to commune with the spirit of nature and beckons us to share our discoveries with the world. It is through our connection to the Earth that we all can find and share our unique passage or bridge to the celestial realm.
In the Santo Daime tradition Medicine songs are sung as a part of the Ayahuasca ceremony and one of those songs is called "The Teacher in the Forest". Taking the Ayahuasca Medicine can be related to having a conversation or communion with Mother Nature herself and in this song one of the verses goes like this:
"The teacher in the forest said
that we should seek rebirth
so we can be a bridge between
heaven and the earth."
I see the Ayahuasca vine as that bridge between human kind and the eternal wisdom of the heavens and the universe. This image represents to me a vision that honors the incredible wisdom and connection that Ayahuasca allows us to be a part of. May we all share our truth and continue to be bridges between the divine and our human existence on Earth.
Here's the whole song >
The teacher in the forest said
that we should purify
so we are able to receive
our angel wings and fly
The teacher in the forest said
that we should seek rebirth
so we can be a bridge between
heaven and the earth.
Oh daime, daime amor, Daime minha querida
Daime, daime luz, estou con Vós, eterna vida
The teacher in the forest told
a secret from above
that all this world of confusion and pain
is truly made of love
The teacher in the forest told
a secret in the night
that all this world that seems so real
is truly made of light.
Oh daime, daime amor...
The teacher in the forest said
that we should learn to love
so we can be brothers and sisters together
on earth as in heaven above.
The teacher in the forest said
it’s love that is the glue
that holds together the atoms and stars
as well as me and you.
Oh daime, daime amor...
