The Awesome Foundation is an ever-growing worldwide community devoted to forwarding the interest of awesome in the universe. Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes $1,000 grants, no strings attached, to projects and their creators. At each fully autonomous chapter, the money is pooled together from the coffers of ten or so self-organizing “micro-trustees” and given up front in cash, check, or gold doubloons.

The Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+) emergency relief grant focuses on artists working in craft or materials-based folk/traditional disciplines that are 18 years or older and have resided and worked in the U.S. or U.S. territories for the past 2 years. These artists must have experienced a recent, unforeseen, career threatening emergency. Emergency Relief is available year-round.
The Get Ready Grant program provides individual craft artists grants up to $500 to conduct activities that will help safeguard their studios, protect their careers and prepare for emergencies. Artists are encouraged to use the Risk Assessment activity to generate ideas. Priority will be given to applications from people who identify in the global majority or as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)* and folk and traditional artists. Get Ready Grants are available multiple times a year. Check the website for deadlines.

FVU:LAB provides opportunities for four UK-based emerging moving image artists to work with cutting-edge technologies at Nottingham Trent University's new Design and Digital Arts building. Artists can apply for specific project outcomes or research and development time to explore technology integration into their practice. Selected artists receive mentoring from FVU's Director and potential presentation opportunities at NTU and on FVU's digital channels.

Belgrade Art Studio brings its quirky formula of contemporary art and a warm, homey ambience to the Serbian capital. The studio opened during 2011 in a 19th-century listed building in Belgrade’s historic neighborhood of Dorćol. It provides artists with an environment to take themselves out of their daily routines, find new inspiration, conduct research and create new work. The ability to work uninterrupted for hours, days, weeks in a quiet studio. These are just a few of the reasons why so many world’s visual artists, curators, writers come to Belgrade Art Studio each year. Typically, their artists find they accomplish more in a matter of weeks at Belgrade Art Studio than they can in a year at home. It’s all about the work – art.

The Artist In Residence Program (AIR) serves K – 5 students in all six Jamestown elementary schools following the school calendar. Residency options include a fall semester and a winter/spring semester, or both. Artists follow a visual arts curriculum structured on basic design elements working with teachers and administrators. Each rotation requires a completed “Unit Plan” which includes lesson plans or goals, supplies needed, and a section for teacher feedback. The resident artist may use the rest of the day and the weekends for personal studio time, including access to the pottery studio and print shop, and teaching classes at the Arts Center.

Creston Arts is looking for talented artists to show at the Creston Arts Depot Gallery for 2026! Creston Arts Gallery is located on the first floor of Creston's historic Restored Depot, which also serves as Creston City Hall and administrative offices, located prominently at 116 W. Adams St. Gallery exhibits run for one month, with an artist's reception/opening night held on the first Friday of the month.
