The city of Aurora, CO is seeking a sculpture/art installation that will bring together the many voices of Aurora in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the state of Colorado (the Centennial State) and the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Within Colorado this event is called the Sesquisemiquincentennial. It culminates on July 4, 2026, with events continuing through the end of 2026. Beyond the many temporary events, this public artwork in Aurora will provide a lasting perspective on this significant moment in time.

The artist will be paid $3,425 for the design of each mural, for a total of up to $27,400 for all eight murals. This payment is inclusive of all artist’s fees. The selected artist shall receive one-half of the honorarium upon execution of contract. The second half of the honorarium shall be disbursed after the murals have been approved by the subcommittee. The goal of the project is to add eight murals that are artistically interesting and family-friendly. The subcommittee seeks digital designs that are original and that complement the overarching theme of this project.

Each summer Rochester Contemporary Art Center’s 6x6 exhibition brings together thousands of original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, youth and YOU. Each artist may enter up to four artworks of any medium except glitter (2D or 3D). Artworks must be six inches square (15cm) and signed only on the back, to be exhibited anonymously. Participation is free. All artworks will be exhibited and for sale to the public for $20 each to benefit RoCo. Artists’ names will be revealed to the buyer upon purchase and all artworks remain on display through the end of the exhibition on July 20.

The City of Westminster’s Sculpture on Loan Program provides memorable outdoor art experiences in Historic Westminster and Downtown Westminster. The Vicky Bunsen Sculpture Garden, located in Historic Westminster, is a community jewel that contributes to the cultural identity of the Historic Westminster Arts District. The Downtown Westminster Art Walk is a new feature of the downtown area and provides a walkable experience that connects with the city's Fuse Box Art Gallery and other art installations in the downtown area.

The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers. The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities. Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

The City of Pompano Beach is looking to commission an artist/artist team for a work for hire project to design and fabricate a sculpture that will be displayed at the beach for a one year. After a year, it will be submerged into the ocean and attached to Lady Luck in Shipwreck Park. It will be the selected artist’s responsibility to work with South Florida Diving Headquarters to sink and attach the sculpture.

The Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grants (AWAW EAG) provides grants of up to $20,000 to environmental art projects led by women-identifying artists in the United States and US Territories.

The AWAW EAG supports environmental art projects that inspire thought, action, and ethical engagement. Projects should not only point at problems, but aim to engage an environmental issue at some scale. Proposals should illustrate thorough consideration of a project’s ecological and social ethics. Projects that explore interdependence, relationships, and systems through Indigenous and ancestral practices are encouraged to apply.

The Quiet Atelier announces an open call for artists to submit works inspired by water, the ocean, and nautical life. This group exhibition invites original artworks in any medium, exploring the theme of water through physical, cultural, environmental, or metaphorical perspectives.

The exhibition aims to showcase art that examines humanity’s relationship with water. Works may highlight the beauty of marine life, the power of the sea, environmental issues, or personal connections to water. A wide range of interpretations and styles, from traditional to abstract, will be considered.

The Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf awards residency fellowships to artists and writers. The residency fellowship lasts for three months and is granted for the periods March to May, June to August, and September to November. In addition to room and board at Schloss Wiepersdorf, all fellows also receive a monthly cash stipend of €1200 and a one-time grant of €480 to cover material expenses. German or English proficiency is required of all applicants. Basic German language skills would be helpful for a successful residence.

The City of Pompano Beach will commission an artist/artist team for a work for hire project for the design and installation of a mural located on the east exterior wall at 1591 E. Atlantic Blvd. The mural should depict themes of Pompano Beach and the surrounding area including ideas like fishing, boating, beaches, and sunny blue skies. The wall is approximately 1450 square feet.

The Nightingale Gallery of Eastern Oregon University in La Grande invites submissions from artists living and working in the Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and northern California). All disciplines (with the exception of film/video and performance) are welcome. The gallery hosts a variety of programming focused on contemporary art by professional artists from the Northwest. Exhibitors are responsible for shipping their work to and from the gallery, but stipends may be provided to artist who agree to visit campus and present a public talk about their work and do critiques with art students.

This exhibition is part of GPAA's Promising Artists program designed to give current high school students and recent alumni of the program the opportunity to showcase their work and experience the process of participating in a professional, juried exhibition.

Alla Prima or ‘all at once’ is generally a wet-in-wet, direct painting approach that has been used by countless artists. Still life is an ideal genre for this approach because it allows artists to learn to control all the elements —the objects, environment, and lightning. Oil color is the quintessential choice for all prima painting (as it stays ‘open’ much longer), but acrylic, watercolor, and gouache are acceptable. Open to all levels.

Each class will include short lectures, demonstrations and lessons based on harmonic composition, color contrasts, and paint handling. There will also be instructional review of each students work. A materials list will be supplied at registration. Philip will be painting and demonstrating the alla prima techniques in oil color.

The Summer Youth Apprenticeship was founded on the importance of passing on the history of Sloss and the many techniques and traditions of metal art. This paid, 8 week program, employs 10-15 high school students, aged 16-19, to work and study under professional artists for 30 hours per week. Students are introduced to a variety of processes and techniques in an interactive, individualized environment. While being introduced to new techniques, the apprentices will create an array of work from tiles and medallions to bookends and light switch covers to be sold in the Sloss Museum Store in support of the program. For their final projects, they will submit a professional proposal and maquette and spend the final 2 weeks executing their final sculpture.

CO.LABS Art Residency project is intended for skilled artists as well as for creative people who are at the beginning or their artistic process. This virtual exhibition asks the question: How can gestation be framed as a creative act? Inspired by Sophie Lewis’s writing Amniotechnics, this exhibition aims to highlight aspects of gestation that can mirror or spur creative practice. Artists are welcome to submit works of any medium that follow themes of gestation, technology surrounding conception such as IVF, and birth. Submissions are open to all artists who feel that their work contributes to the dialogue.

How can gestation inspire creative practice?

How can the act of conception be an act of resistance against societal norms?

How can life be manufactured?

What kinds of dichotomies can be explored in the act of gestating?

The COAL Prize 2025 dedicated to fresh water is a call to fight against the drying up of the sensitivities towards WATER, to elevate it to its rightful place at the heart of general attention, to rehabilitate it in its symbolic and sacred prerogatives, to consider it as the ally and partner of existence. The winning artist of the COAL Prize will receive €12,000 and a creative residency. The winning artist of the Special Jury Prize receives
3,000 euros. The winner of the Ateliers Médicis award will benefit from a residency in Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil, in association with the Bondy regional forest. The winning artist in the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles/ Paris aka le vaisseau award receives 2,000 euros and will be invited to exhibit at the Paris institution.

Oregon Contemporary Artists’ Biennial is open to those living in, born in, educated in, or a previous resident of Oregon. It is a survey of works by artists who are defining and advancing Oregon’s contemporary art landscape. Curated by TK Smith, the 2026 biennial will explore interconnected themes of place, power, and promise, as they relate to complex relationships with the land, histories, and the Oregon nations. This exhibition will act as a response to the 250-year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Since its signing, there have been long and violent battles to combat the restriction of American’s “unalienable rights” and the denial of full citizenship, often fought by the most vulnerable.

The Buffalo Bills Art Program seeks to commission a professional visual artist, or artist team, to create site-specific wall-based artwork(s) to be placed in (new) Highmark Stadium. This artwork will be thematic, public-facing, and part of the permanent collection at the Stadium.

RFQ/RFP Commission Description: The Buffalo Bills Public Art Program seeks to commission new wall-based works for the permanent collection to be on display within (new) Highmark Stadium. Wall-based/wall-mounted artworks may include (but not limited to) traditionally framed artworks, drawings, paintings, photography, textiles, mosaic or tile wall hangings, mixed-media or assemblage, digital art displays, artwork utilizing electricity or digital components, relief or wall-mounted sculptural works (under 4" depth).

Introducing Art Collide’s "Open Theme”, Spring 2025, international competition and online exhibition. This competition is open to artists of all ages internationally with no restrictions on media or style. The theme for this competition is “Open”; participants are free to create and submit artworks based on any subject matter or theme of their choice. Only artists whose work is selected as finalists must pay the $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their work exhibited online and move on to the final round of Jurying in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000.

The LUX Center for the Arts, Lincoln's community art center located in Lincoln, NE, is looking for artists to present exhibition applications for the fiscal year beginning in summer of 2025.

Each year the LUX opens up the opportunity for artists to submit exhibition proposals for review. A group of selected jurors from the staff, committee and community, will review all applications and proposals.

Selected artists will be contacted to discuss timing and details of their potential inclusion. Artists may be selected to show their work as an individual artist, or may be contacted to show their work in a group show with other selected artists.

The photographic, digital and video works that will be selected for the collective exhibition scheduled for July 2025 and curated by LoosenArt will be focused on the theme of rites. The rite is understood as a recurrent practice, conducted with seriousness and commitment through a prescribed procedure that gives it validity. This call is open to works related to ritual practices that testify to its wider functions, from sacred to social ones, and from the family-biographical to psychological and introspective ones.

Attention Northern Michigan Artists! You are invited to submit a sculpture for placement in the Jordan Art Walk exhibit in East Jordan Michigan. Their goal is to integrate works of art into their city’s natural environment that will engage and resonate with their citizens and visitors. Have your art seen by locals and area visitors for years to come while on display in the City of East Jordan’s Memorial and Sportsman’s Parks. Sculptures are in place for three years. There is a stipend of $600.00 for the artists whose works are accepted. Concrete pads will be provided to fit the works of art by the art walk committee. Artists will be responsible for transporting, installing and de-installing their work. Some exemptions may apply.

Four to six artists are hosted annually for two-month residencies. Resident artists are provided with an apartment on the museum grounds, a studio in downtown Marfa, and access to Chinati’s collection and archive. A stipend of $4,000 is provided for honorarium, travel and art materials.

A Quick Response Arts Activation funding of up to $5,000 for individual practising artists, or up to $10,000 for arts collectives or groups to support their creative endeavours, across all art forms. Artists must activate a space in the Woden area and include community engagement. Multi-artform proposals are encouraged. Designed to activate the South Canberra region of Woden, this is an opportunity for artists/groups to think creatively, to showcase artistic practice and to work with the Woden community. A final public outcome is recommended, however, a space nominated by the applicant in the Woden area must be activated as part of the project. Applications should include community engagement and collaborations and multi-artform proposals are encouraged.

The residency is open to any serious visual artist working in any medium and will take place at St Mary’s of the Lake, the Paulist Fathers summer house located on beautiful Lake George in upstate New York– accessible by car/bus/train. During the residency artists will have ample space and time to work on their own. Each afternoon artists will gather to discuss their work and other topics for one hour followed by dinner. Each artist will be provided with a private room with shared bathrooms and 3 meals daily for $100 per day. Scholarships are available and should be requested in the application.

Laboratorio del Eco accepts applications from international working contemporary artists of live-performance disciplines (such as sound art, music, dance, performance, poetry, acting, etc.). They are particularly interested in projects that have a practical & experimental approach that engages critically with topics such as technology & ecology, the science/art dialogue, body & language, and the social/natural environment of Valparaiso. During your time there you are expected to develop new work, which you’ll be invited to present at their Club de lo Efimero. They will also help you organise other opportunities to present your work in other instances in Valparaiso and/or other Chilean cities. Their facilities have an emphasis on sound-based work and they also welcome and host other approaches.

Cultivate invites applications for its multi-disciplinary La Baldi Residency. Located in the historic village of Montegiovi, Italy, in southern Tuscany, the self-directed international residency is an opportunity to experiment, develop ideas and projects, explore, rejuvenate, research, and investigate the land and culture of this special area. The residency welcomes individuals and collaborative teams.

Dorland Mountain Arts Residency is a beautiful retreat where artists can create in a secluded and protected natural setting. Dorland is located near Temecula Valley Wine Country, about 100 miles south of Los Angeles and sixty miles north of San Diego. The Residency Program provides a secluded working retreat for national and international visual artists, writers, musicians and composers. Residency stays may be as short as one week or as long as two months, based on requests and availability. Individual cottages are complete with WiFi, window AC, good cell phone reception, kitchen, bathroom, workspace, and a covered porch with magnificent mountain, canyon and Temecula Valley views. One cottage includes a Steinway baby grand piano, and another has a Kimball baby grand.

They welcome artists, scholars, activists, and creatives to join their community and support their work in this inspiring mountain setting. Nestled in Peru's Sacred Valley of the Incas (Valle Sagrado de los Incas) in the Cusco Region's Calca district, Chokechaka is situated at an elevation of 9,850 ft (3,000m), just 80 minutes from Alejandro Velasco Astete Cusco Airport. Their year-round residency program hosts 1-8 artists for periods of 1-4 weeks, providing a serene creative environment in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. Their residency welcomes artists who seek not only to advance their personal projects but also to engage deeply with the Sacred Valley's of the culture, nature, and history.

The health of the jewelry industry depends on the continuous flow of new talent and design creativity. It is critical that new artists also hone their business skills in order to effectively manage their small businesses in today's global market. Each summer Halstead awards a grant to a new jewelry designer working primarily in silver. The grand prize consists of $7,500 in start-up capital and $1,000 in merchandise as well as recognition in the industry. Finalists receive a smaller cash prize and help promoting their business. The most valuable reward the winner and finalists receive is a personalized feedback report complied with notes from all of the judges.

The Sacramento County Department of Airports is soliciting Statements of Qualifications And Experience (SOQ&Es) from qualified artists to design, fabricate, and install permanent artworks at the Sacramento International Airport (SMF) as part of the Department’s large-scale capital improvement program known as “SMForward.” SMForward, which includes six major construction projects, represents a historic opportunity to integrate art into the traveler’s experience while reinforcing and contributing to the Sacramento region’s identity. This RFQ&E is a call for multiple artwork opportunities under SMForward’s Concourse B Expansion project.
