Arts Letters & Numbers is a year-round Artist Residency providing a creative sanctuary in the historic Faith Mills Complex in rural Upstate New York. The residency fosters an environment of creative urgency and collaboration, offering inspiring spaces like a warm Victorian home, a white barn, and textile mills turned into studios, all surrounded by woods, lakes, and opportunities for connection. Residents have the freedom to shape their workspace and rhythms while engaging in shared meals, bonfire conversations, and community programming, including open studios, workshops, exhibitions, and more. With seasonal residencies lasting 1 to 12 weeks, the program welcomes artists to explore their work and contribute to the inclusive dialogue through proposed projects such as performances or lectures. 

Art In the Orchard is a walking sculpture trail which winds through Park Hill Orchard's productive fruit gardens. The self-guided trail is about a half-mile long. A walk through the labyrinth adds about a quarter mile. Estimated viewing time might be 2-4 hours. Open all daylight hours from August 12 until Thanksgiving weekend. Please wear sturdy shoes.​ The call for the 8th Biennial Art In the Orchard Sculpture Show is open to everyone, novice or seasoned. Each of the thirty-four selected artists will receive a $750.00 Honorarium. For 2025, 30,000 or more visitors are expected.

The Something New program is a dynamic public art experience as well as an ongoing opportunity for sculptors to exhibit their work. The exhibit places sculptures in five outdoor locations in downtown Winslow on beautiful Bainbridge Island. The five locations are located inside the boundaries of the Bainbridge Creative District. The state of Washington now hosts 13 Certified Creative Districts, which are defined as a walkable neighborhood designated hub for creative sector jobs, tourist, and cultural activities.

Carolinas Rehabilitation is looking for local and regional artists (North and South Carolina) to submit pieces to be hung in their newly renovated, high-traffic space. Every three months the gallery will be filled with new art, chosen by a committee. The artists chosen for each time period will be able to display 3 pieces of art. They are looking for art that creates a positive and welcome distraction for their patients and visitors.

This is a busy lobby and connects to their flagship hospital. The campus is 4 million square feet. Being outside is so engaging and transformative that people have invented numerous ways to access it. Activities like hiking, biking, climbing or skiing are experiences that are life-giving to many. It is no surprise that these inspiring experiences are also the activities of some artists due to the exposure to the wonders and beauty of the natural world. Artists are also attuned to the rewards that come from pushing past creative boundaries, which is not unlike the physical boundaries that are often needed to be pushed when playing outside. The Keller Public Arts Board is seeking six sculptures that are appropriate for public viewing and support the family-friendly atmosphere of the City of Keller. Sculptures remain under the artist’s ownership and are loaned to the exhibit for a two-year period. All sculptures must be “family appropriate” and pose no risk to public safety; no sexual, bloody or violent content shall be accepted. Sculptures must be made of materials that can withstand the harsh Texas weather and require no maintenance by the City of Keller. Pieces sold while on display may be removed but the artist must replace the sold artwork with a different sculpture, with approval by the Board, within 60 days of removal of the sold piece.

In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, Creative Capital expands its support of individual artists with the 2026 Open Call for the Creative Capital Award and the launch of the new State of the Art Prize. The Creative Capital Award provides individual artists with unrestricted project grants for the creation of bold, innovative, original, and imaginative new artistic works. In addition to unrestricted project grants from $15,000 up to $50,000, the Award offers transformative professional development support including strategic advising, peer mentorship, industry connections, and community-building opportunities. Grants are awarded via a national, democratic, open call, external review process. The State of the Art Prize aims to recognize and support one artist from every U.S. state and inhabited territory with an unrestricted artist grant of $10,000.

This grant provides Minnesota-based early career film directors, working in short and/or long form experimental, narrative, animation or documentary genres, or in any hybrid combination of these forms, up to $10,000 to engage in self-designed mentorship with experienced directors or other film professionals to strengthen their film directing craft and/or professional skills in connection with a specific film project. The Foundation seeks to fund filmmakers who take creative risks, seek innovative approaches, have a clarity of purpose and vision for imaginative storytelling, are engaged directly with those involved in their filmmaking, and work to build relationships with and impact their creative community and the field. Applications are due Thursday, April 3 before 4 pm Central.

Thunderdomesticity: Witness Me is a national juried exhibition designed to honor the strength of women (including but not limited to: cis women, trans women, non-binary, two-spirit, and gender fluid people) during dystopian times. All artists from the United States, regardless of gender, are invited to submit one or two high quality photographs of their art before the deadline of April 4, 2025. Witness Me is the 4th annual Thunderdomesticity exhibition, and it will feature artwork that is post-apocalyptic, feminist, and everything in between. The juror of this exhibition is Klaire Lockheart, host of the Femininity in the Post-Apocalypse podcast. There is no entry fee to submit artwork, but artists will pay a $30 printing fee for each accepted image.

The City of Whittlesea is seeking an artist to design and install a mural in the newly built Murnong Community Centre that engages with and compliments the diverse and growing community. The artwork and its design will speak to the broad theme of diversity informed by community engagement and consultation. A more detailed brief will be supplied to the successful artist. The artwork will cover approximately 35m2 and be installed on an internal wall above a prominent entry and exit point in the public community lounge.

“bildingship” is a working fellowship for young artists aged up to 31 years, to use bilding as space for their own artistic work as well as actively engaging in the regular workshop programme from July 1st 2025 until February 7th 2026 (prolongation to one year is possible), including part-time employment (500€ per month). The aim is to convey the concept and working methods of bilding to the artists, while at the same time, imparting artistic processes directly to the children and adolescents based on the artists on-site work, to establish mutual ties and to promote and expand international discourse in the field of art and cultural mediation with young people, based on the practical experiences gained at bilding.

This “Call for Qualification” is seeking Professional Artists who wish to be considered by the Town of Danville for a commissioned artwork that will be admired for years. The Town of Danville has ventured into temporary public art pieces and is now working to establish its first permanent public art exhibit, Acorns of the Old Oak. The exhibit would consist of placing small bronze, three-dimensional acorn sculptures in Downtown Danville where they would be placed at town-owned facilities and/or historic building sites. These acorns would be homage to Danville’s iconic Old Oak Tree, a symbol of stability and strength in the Town.

The Dome House and the Miller Art Museum are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Dome House Al & Mickey Quinlan Artist Residency, a unique opportunity for Midwest visual artists to immerse themselves in the creative landscape of Door County, Wisconsin. The program offers an 8-week residency in the twin-lobed, domed concrete structure known as the ‘Dome House,’ an iconic earth home nestled in the dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan. This is an Open Call for artists, designers, and craftspeople to apply for the semester long Windgate Artist in Residence program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s School of Art and Design. The Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists (WFF HSG) provides grants of $30,000, distributed over three years, to NYC-based visual artists in need who are seeking support for stable housing. In its inaugural cycle, the WFF HSG will award grants to five artists. The WFF Housing Stability Grant for Artists is offered in recognition of the increasing unaffordability of rental housing in New York City, and the housing insecurity it creates for artists. Its goal is to improve artists’ housing stability, through a $30,000 grant that is distributed over three years. The WFF HSG hopes that recipients will be able to remain in, or find, reliable and stable housing for at least three years, thereby allowing them to focus on their creative practice and build more sustainable careers.

The National Wool Museum and the City of Greater Geelong announce the opening of the ‘We the Makers Sustainable Fashion Prize,’ a biennial competition celebrating dynamic and diverse ethical fashion design. The Wildflower Sculpture Park at South Mountain Conservancy, in partnership with the Essex County Parks Department, invites artists to submit proposals for its 2025 outdoor exhibition. They welcome bold, engaging proposals that push creative boundaries, whether through paint or innovative materials - or both. The selected artist will have their work showcased for 3–4 years, seen by thousands of visitors. Fair compensation, exposure, and community engagement opportunities are offered.

The Alexey von Schlippe Gallery at the University of Connecticut Avery Point (AVS Gallery) seeks proposals for sculpture/installations, video works/projections, or light-based works for Open Air 2025. The works will be exhibited on the grounds of the University of Connecticut Avery Point campus from June 5 -October 6, 2025, with an opening reception for the public on June 5. Their goal is to assemble a dynamic set of artworks—some visible by day, some after nightfall. Artists must install and deinstall their artwork, using their own tools or materials. Fringe Arts Bar invites submissions for ‘Urban Biophilia ~ Your Sanctuary’ where the healing power of nature will be brought inside, just for a moment… Varied forms of art will be used to create an immersive experience for visitors to engage with, honour and pledge their commitment to help heal the planet. The curation will also offer visitors a sanctuary, where they can relax, regain balance and enhance their wellbeing. If selected, they ask Artists for a £22 contribution (like crowdfunding) and/or to give some of their time, as they are all volunteers.

MidPen Housing is seeking a Bay Area artist or artist team to create an original mural that pays homage to the legacy of Ira D. Hall, the building’s namesake. They are not looking for traditional illustration or documentation of this individual’s life, but rather an artist who can tap into the energy and interpret through imagery. Ira D. Hall embodied a life of public service, a variety of careers, as well as a deep interest in art. The artwork spans two floors of the building’s east façade and is visible from the street for cars or pedestrians. The purpose of including this mural in the architectural design is to infuse the building and neighborhood with the inspiring history and sense of style of this influential individual, Ira D Hall.

The city of Aurora, CO is seeking a sculpture/art installation that will bring together the many voices of Aurora in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the state of Colorado (the Centennial State) and the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Within Colorado this event is called the Sesquisemiquincentennial. It culminates on July 4, 2026, with events continuing through the end of 2026. Beyond the many temporary events, this public artwork in Aurora will provide a lasting perspective on this significant moment in time.
