Charlotte Street’s call for the Studio Residency Program applications opens February 17, 2025. Visual artists, performing artists, and writers interested in its two-year-long Studio Residency Program in Kansas City, MO, are encouraged to apply. Charlotte Street selects an independent jury panel to select artists from the applicant pool. Soaring Gardens Artists Retreat in Laceyville, PA, offers visual artists, writers, and composers, and instrumentalists a quiet country setting for residencies to focus on their creative endeavors. The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art and Serendipity Arts Foundation present a new collaboration—Futures in Formation: A Public Art Programme—supporting artistic projects by Indian artists (individuals and collectives) working with a variety of publics, communities and environments. The program will support the development of the proposed projects through aspects of research, production, dissemination and other routes of mobilisation as required. Commission Description: Ceiling-based artworks

The Buffalo Bills Art Program seeks to commission a professional visual artist(s), or artist team, to create site-specific ceiling-based/hanging/suspended artwork(s) to be placed in 2 different locations in New Highmark Stadium. One artist/artist team will be selected for each location. This artwork will be thematic, public-facing, and part of the permanent collection at the Stadium. Ceiling-based/ suspended/hanging artworks may include (but not limited to) sculptural artworks, mixed-media or assemblage, illuminated artwork utilizing electricity or digital components, relief or ceiling-mounted sculptural works.

The Twining Humber Award is an unrestricted award of $10,000 given annually to a Washington State female-identified visual artist, age 60 or over, who has dedicated 25 years or more to creating art. The award is made possible by a generous gift from the painter Yvonne Twining Humber (1907-2004), who established the Irving Foundation and Yvonne Twining Humber Fund for Artistic Excellence to support the grant through Artist Trust in recognition of female-identified artists who oftentimes must interrupt or postpone art-making in order to answer the demands of family life. The award recognizes artistic excellence, professional accomplishment, and longstanding dedication to the visual arts.

SOLA (Support Old Lady Artists) Awards are five unrestricted awards of $5,000 given annually to Washington State female-identified visual artists, age 60 or over, who have dedicated 25 years or more to creating art. Founded in 2016 by Seattle artist Ginny Ruffner, the SOLA Award seeks to encourage and celebrate women’s achievements in the arts. Ginny and friends’ generous contributions to this award seek to honor, encourage and celebrate the lifetime contributions of women whose artwork has not been sufficiently or widely recognized. One of the five SOLA Awards will specifically honor a BIPOC artist.

The AXA Art Prize US is a juried student art competition and exhibition of 40 two-dimensional figurative works: paintings, drawings, and original printmaking. One First Prize of $10,000 and one Second Prize of $5,000 is awarded to two of the 40 student exhibition finalists.

Presenting the 2025 "Emerging Artists" international competition and online exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their preferred media and style. The competition's theme is "Emerging Artists,". The LUX Center for the Arts, located in Lincoln, NE, will be hosting its third bi-annual EMERGE mural festival in September of 2025. Three (3) new murals will be created in the University Place neighborhood, Lincoln’s first certified Creative District. This call for artists outlines the details or application.

Three artists will be selected and each will create a mural at a designated location within the UNI Place Creative District. Each artist will receive $4,000 in compensation for their work, as well as a design honorarium. The Northern Territory (NT) is home to some of the most unique and remote art, history and cultural collections in Australia. Featuring treasures of national significance, these community collections tell the story of our past and present to local and visiting audiences. Grants are available for regional museums, galleries and cultural centres to develop, conserve, preserve or exhibit our unique cultural heritage. Regional museums, galleries and cultural centres in the Northern Territory are eligible to apply for funding of up to $40,000 per applicant. All projects must be completed within one year. The Denver Chalk Art Festival is an award-winning event that will transform Denver's historical museum district into a colorful street museum. Over the course of two days, 200 professional, amateur, and student artists captivate audiences as they take to the pavement armed with vivid soft pastels and spend hours drawing on their hands and knees. Thousands of festival attendees enjoy food and live music as they watch beautiful chalk pieces come to life. The SRO Photo Gallery at the Texas Tech University School of Art hosts an annual open call for six to eight exhibitions of still photographic artwork to be exhibited between August 2025 and May 2026. Elf School of the Arts is a nonprofit artist residency in Hayesville, NC. Situated beside the Appalachian Mountains and Lake Chatuge, Elf was originally an elementary school started in 1928, but has been renovated from 2022-2024 into an artist residency and concert venue. Elf's primary mediums are book arts, casting, cooking, drawing, jewelry, music, lapidary, paper arts, photography, printmaking, weaving, welding, woodworking, and writing. Residencies at Elf run from 1 week up to 3 months. You can apply to experiment, produce a body of work, use specific equipment, or expand on an idea. A private bedroom and studio are provided during your stay. The residencies are free, however consumables, materials, food, and travel are not included.

Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the University of Minnesota in partnership with Soo Visual Arts Center (SooVAC) Call for Art 2025: The Suzy Greenberg Juried Exhibition is for MFA candidates, or recent grads (2023 or later) from either school. The 10th Horse and Art Research Program offers an intensive program designed for artists interested in combining equine studies and visual arts. It seeks artists with an interest in horse culture as well as riders with an interest in art. The work includes daily practice and lessons in horsemanship, equestrian archery, and riding. Discussions and lectures focus on fine art research, with each year centered around a different research theme. Now in its 10th year, the program will emphasize body language and communication with horses. Guest lecturers will be invited, and excursions will be organized. The residency concludes with a public exhibition in the Riding Arena Gallery. It welcomes artistic practices from both Western and Eastern traditions. To mark this special anniversary year, a surprise show featuring works by previous participants will be included.

Fonduq is an ancient hostelry, an inn for the camel caravans coming to the port of Mogador, now Essaouira, from across the Sahara in Mali and beyond. They are situated in the ancient Medina, in the fascinating labyrinth that thrives inside the walls. Essaouira is known for its music with the famous Gnaoua festival, and for its visual arts in particular. There are also many crafts and artisanal workshops where things are still made by hand. It is inspiring for many disciplines, and they have hosted musicians, writers, mosaicists, painters and installation artists.

OBRAS-PORTUGAL has a residence in a beautiful rural area. You will have your private apartment with kitchen, bathroom and terrace. The rent is 115 € per week. Several artist studios are available. The Department of Art at Pittsburg State University welcomes Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals for the 2025-2026 academic year. Pittsburg State University Department of Art, located in Porter Hall has two galleries, University Gallery and Harry Krug Gallery. The Something New program is a dynamic public art experience as well as an ongoing opportunity for sculptors to exhibit their work. The exhibit places sculptures in five outdoor locations in downtown Winslow on beautiful Bainbridge Island. The five locations are located inside the boundaries of the Bainbridge Creative District. The state of Washington now hosts 13 Certified Creative Districts, which are defined as a walkable neighborhood designated hub for creative sector jobs, tourist, and cultural activities.

Qualifications are requested from artists interested in creating an artwork for the Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway. This project, led by the Office of Governor Polis, is a visionary project connecting the Capitol Complex to Lincoln Veterans Park in Denver, CO. The project is dedicating up to $2 million for the commission of multiple artworks. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2025.

Their goal is to commission an artist or artist team to create a sculpture that will become a vibrant addition of the sculptural fabric of their town. The Selection Committee will consider entries in all durable media worthy for outdoor installation, and will consider all stylistic variations, including realism, figurative, multi-media, kinetic and environmental works that push the boundaries of sculpture itself. They encourage a broad diversity of artists and encourage applicants from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities including artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latino/x, Asian American, people with disabilities, and members of the (LGBTQIA2S+) communities. HOST also encourages applicants at various stages in their career and applicants practicing a variety of artistic disciplines.

Grants are offered to American painters aged 45 or older who demonstrate financial need. The primary emphasis is to promote public awareness and a commitment to American art, as well as encouraging interest in painters who lack adequate recognition. A jury made up of three art historians, artists, curators, and critics will review the applications in the late spring. Applicants will be notified no later than July 1, 2025.

UAB/Birmingham Museum of Art Fellows are graduate students in the Art History department at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, who have already developed an area of concentration within their studies. The Fellowship gives students the opportunity to spend one year working in the Curatorial department at the Museum. It is designed to provide in-depth experience in the workings of a museum and in the nature of curatorial work. Fellows are assigned specific projects and duties based on the needs of the department and work directly with the Museum’s Curatorial staff. The UAB/BMA Curatorial Fellowship begins and ends in August of each year.

The Phipps Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for Human x Machine: Exploring Art in the Age of AI, an exhibition that examines the intersections of creativity, technology, and humanity that will take place in the Phipps galleries, September 12-November 2, 2025. This exhibition will include a wide range of perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the artistic process, from the full embrace of generative AI to artwork that pointedly rejects any AI interventions. The show will explore themes of collaboration, innovation, ethics, and identity.
