The Art and Exhibits Committee, University Libraries, at the University of South Dakota, presents the 2024 Bound and Unbound VIII international juried altered book exhibition. All work must be original and not previously displayed in a Bound and Unbound exhibition. There are no restrictions on when works were created JUROR: Isobelle Ouzman. Isobelle Ouzman is a British artist raised in Washington State, USA, now living and working in Europe. Her work has been exhibited in the USA and Slovakia, featured in magazines such as Hi-Fructose, Colossal, and My Modern Met, and can be found in private collections worldwide.

Transcendence- Call for Artists: Showcase your work in a prestigious landmark location in Central London

“Nature Morte” will reimagine the still-life tradition through the lens of video art, where digital works unravel fleeting moments of beauty and decay. Selected works will be exhibited in the 103, a small gallery programmed by the Department of Art & Art History at Bucknell University, in the summer of 2025. The videos will be displayed in a loop that will play on a single large horizontally-oriented TV in the gallery. This exhibition invites video works that are inspired by, expand on, or reimagine conventional still-life themes or the reinterpretation of still-life in new and unexpected ways. Artists are encouraged to submit works that are experimental, push boundaries and/or challenge a conventional understanding of still-life in the digital age.

Warimono invites visual artists to submit works for our upcoming exhibition, Dispatch. This exhibition explores themes of communication, transmission, and the act of sending out a message or signal. The exhibition will run on our website from April 1 to May 31, 2025.

We seek artworks that investigate the flow of ideas, whether through physical connections, unseen signals, or abstract exchanges. Dispatch invites artists to reflect on how messages travel across time and space—how they are sent, received, transformed, or even lost along the way. From the immediacy of a fleeting transmission to the resonance of a message that lingers, this theme offers an open framework for interpretation.

Artists are encouraged to explore how concepts of communication, connection, and signal resonate in their practice, examining the visible and invisible threads that link us to one another. It's up to the individual submitting to decide if and how the title aligns with their ongoing practice. We welcome diverse perspectives and encourage artists from all backgrounds and stages of their careers to participate.

Mitu’s Hybrid Arts Lab supports women, trans, and non-binary artists working at the intersection of performance and technology, with a focus on early-career BIPOC artists. The program provides studio space, technical resources, mentorship, and training to a small cohort, culminating in public studio visits that foster community dialogue on art and innovation.

In 2025, Mitu’s sixth annual Hybrid Arts Lab will support three artists over eight months. Each will receive a $3,000 award, five weeks of access to MITU580’s space and technology, mentorship from Founding Artistic Director Rubén Polendo, training with guest artists, and a materials budget for public studio visits. This initiative helps artists expand their practice at the intersection of performance and technology.

Lawrence Arts Center artist in residence programs are designed to provide a creative environment for emerging artists and to broaden Arts Center student and faculty awareness of new approaches and techniques. These year-long residencies begin on August 15 and end on July 31. The ideal candidates should have an MFA in ceramics (or equivalent professional experience), and be self-directed and able to work independently. Preference is given to candidates who have demonstrated artistic excellence as well as interest in experimentation and innovative techniques. The resident will be provided studio space, furnished housing, free firings, and 24-hour access to all studios, including ceramics, print, drawing, metals, photography, and digital media, plus a wood shop.

The Akita City Cultural Creation Center is a facility dedicated to supporting citizens’ creative activities and hosts an annual “Creator-in-Residence” program. Through the residency of creators, the program provides opportunities for citizens to take on new forms of expression. The Cultural Creation Center aspires to remain a vessel that embraces limitless possibilities—fearlessly adapting to change and continually challenging new horizons. In this spirit, they are now seeking creators who will engage with the region’s culture and people, collaborating and creating alongside them. To support residents’ activities, they will tailor assistance to their needs, including introducing them to local experts and businesses and forming dedicated support teams.

The John Talleur Print Studio is the only community print shop in Kansas. Its facilities support a broad range of printmaking techniques, including intaglio, monoprint, relief, silkscreen, book arts, and letterpress, and offer access to Takach, Vandercook, Hoe (Washington-style), and Griffin presses. The studio emphasizes innovative and solventless techniques, and the intaglio facilities use all low toxic grounds and removers. The resident will be provided studio space, a $1,500 monthly stipend, furnished housing, a $2,000 honorarium for professional development, and 24-hour access to all studios, including ceramics, print, drawing, metals, photography, and digital media, plus a wood shop.

Are you an artist in need of critical medical, mental health, or dental treatment? The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent, unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies experienced by artists anywhere in the US in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, or choreography. Privacy is guaranteed. Cycle 29 will be open February 11 - March 11 for emergencies occurring August 1, 2024 and after

This program joins visual artists with the wonder and unexpected opportunities in Wyoming State Parks. This is a 10 day road trip residency in either August or September of 2025 where artists will have a choice of itinerary that includes visiting a minimum of 4 state parks where you can be inspired by the beauty of the state. Camping is required, no gear will be provided although cabins, yurts and dorm housing may be available. This is a joint program through Wyoming State Parks and the Wyoming Arts Council.

The En Foco Artist Fellowship Program is designed to support artists of color who utilize lens-based mediums and digital media technologies in their creative processes. This program merges the previous Photography Fellowship and Media Arts Fund, creating a unified opportunity for photographers and media-based artists in New York State. While applicants may apply to both forms for photographers and media-based artists, they will receive only one award. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of industry professionals, ensuring recognition for the highest-quality work.

Mural Design for Bloomington Ice Garden
The City of Bloomington invites public artists to submit qualifications to design a vibrant mural that will be installed in the Bloomington Ice Garden (BIG) vestibule. The final design will be printed and installed by a separate vendor.

Applicants are welcome from the state of Minnesota. The total budget is $8,000 for the purposes of providing a digital artistic design that can be used by a City-selected vendor to wrap the vestibule wall.

Currently seeking 2025 Visiting Artists! Sloss Furnaces Foundation hosts three, 8-week Visiting Artists throughout the year, typically in the Summer (June-Aug) and Fall (Sept-Nov). This program is designed for artists interested in developing their studio practice and honing technical skills. Visiting Artists will be provided with a furnished apartment near Sloss Furnaces, casting materials, and 24-hour studio access in Sloss' historic casting shed. Visiting Artists are expected to have a final exhibition at The 600 at the conclusion of their residency. The majority of the work is to be displayed for up to a year, with the option to sell throughout the exhibition. Artists are expected to donate one piece from their residency to Sloss Furnaces' permanent collection.

Haystack’s Open Studio Residency fosters a dynamic exchange of ideas among peers and provides two weeks of studio time and an opportunity to work in a community of makers. The program supports approximately 50 participants—from the craft field and other creative disciplines—who have uninterrupted time to work in six studios (ceramics, fiber, glass, graphics, metals, and wood) to develop ideas and experiment in various media. Each of the studios are staffed by technicians who can assist with projects. Please note that technicians will not be leading workshops. If you are interested in learning specific skills, you may wish to apply to one of the summer workshop sessions.

Well known by visual artists as the "Gift of Time", the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program was established in 1967 to provide gifted studio-based visual artists with the unique opportunity to concentrate on their work in a supportive. The Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program’s interest is in strengthening the vitality of the visual art in New Mexico and has been a catalyst in broadening community understanding of contemporary art for over fifty years. The Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program offers six artists a place to live and work for a year, with a monthly stipend and no strings attached. Artists-in-residence have the opportunity to mount a solo exhibition of their work at the Roswell Museum, and to have an artwork purchased for the permanent collection of the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art.

Education Assistance grants fund up to $500 and are for educational opportunities such as: conferences, residencies, studio workshops, or study trips and can includes travel fees. Applications are evaluated by measuring the quality of educational opportunity, potential impact on practice/career, ability to complete project, and relevance based on portfolio.

The Grants for Artists program fosters Oklahoma’s visual artistic creative excellence. The grants committee supports the mission of OVAC and scores submissions based on the merit of each application according to the pertinent grant category and its associated criteria. Grants for Artists help individual Oklahoma artists create visual art for public presentation, develop their professional practices, and lead community projects. Grants are open to artists working in visual-based mediums, curation, and art writing.

Professional Basics grants fund up to $500 and are for the essentials of an art practice such as quality artwork samples, display/framing, shipping, travel to professional events, website development, etc. Applications are evaluated by measuring the quality of the proposed project, ability to complete project, and relevance based on portfolio.

Creative Projects grants fund up to $1500 and are for creating new work that will culminate in a public event focused on artist’s own work. Applications are evaluated by measuring career altering potential, quality of work, concept, and ability to complete project.

Rochester Contemporary Art Center invites artists to propose three images for a temporary public art installation on site outside RoCo. Through this call for art they aim to offer a simple submission process for incisive, surprising, and unique imagery that will enliven the East Avenue neighborhood. Of particular interest are projects that connect visitors to the location, community and/or history of the neighborhood, challenge visitors and passersby, and address important social and political issues. RoCo welcomes visual artists of all genres, and also invites visual artists to collaborate with literary artists as they have previously shown in this location. The artist will receive a $400 stipend & use fee for exhibiting preexisting images. All production and installation costs are covered by RoCo.

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) seeks entries for a juried photography exhibit at Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, VA and Mosaic Arts in Fairfax, VA. $6500 in awards. This call invites professional and amateur photographers in the U.S. only. Photo subjects also must live in the U.S. The NCOA is eager to discover captivating stories and showcase authentic, everyday individuals. Only color photographs are accepted. No black and white photos or AI-generated images. Entries must include a short statement or story (minimum 100 words) about each photo.

As a partnership between Bumbershoot and Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, Cannonball Arts is dedicated to creating space and opportunities for Native artists and craftspeople throughout the Pacific Northwest. Their lobby will host a 30 foot long by 12 foot wide platform designed to construct traditional dugout canoes, allowing pedestrians and art center visitors alike to watch and learn canoe carving from tree to sea. They welcome Native artists to use their lobby as a studio to carve, construct and paint handmade canoes and provide a $5,000.00 grant to participating artist teams.

The Edward F. Albee Foundation maintains the William Flanagan Memorial Creative Persons Center (better known as "The Barn") in Montauk, Long Island, New York, as a residence for writers and visual artists of all media. The Center is open year-round (with the exception of December, when it is closed for general maintenance and holidays), and can accommodate four creative persons at a time. Residencies are for calendar months only. The standards for admission are, simply, talent and need. Located approximately two miles from the center of Montauk and the Atlantic Ocean, "The Barn" rests in a secluded knoll which offers privacy and a peaceful atmosphere.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute invites all artists with disabilities worldwide to submit artwork to participate in the 2025 Art of Possibilities Art Show & Sale. The Art Show has a rich tradition of exhibiting and selling the creative artwork of inspiring artists with physical and cognitive disabilities. More than 500 pieces are reviewed each year in six categories: Graphics, oils and acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, photography and sculpture and more than $4,600 in awards will be presented. All work must be original. Artists are limited to entering a maximum of four works and all art must be for sale.

The City of Auburn invites sculptors to submit applications for Auburn’s Downtown Sculpture Gallery. The works selected for this public art exhibition will be on loan to the City for a period of twelve months (12) and can be available for sale during that time. Each selected artist will receive a $1,000 stipend. At the conclusion of the exhibition a sculpture from the exhibition may be purchased for inclusion in the City of Auburn’s permanent collection. The purchase budget is $10,000. ArtPrize is an international art competition & cultural festival held annually in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Oklahoma artists are invited to apply for their chance to represent the state of Oklahoma in this international art competition. Five artists will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win a $10,000 grant. This funding supports the creation, transportation, and logistics of their ArtPrize 2025 installation in Grand Rapids, MI (Sept 18–Oct 4, 2025). The winner also receives complimentary registration and ArtPrize assistance in securing a high-visibility venue.

Charlotte Street’s call for the Studio Residency Program applications opens February 17, 2025. Visual artists, performing artists, and writers interested in its two-year-long Studio Residency Program in Kansas City, MO, are encouraged to apply.
