The Freeport Art Museum has an open call for Native American artists within a 150-mile radius of Freeport, Illinois, which is located in the far northwestern corner of the state. This radius includes the major metro locations of Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee. This call seeks to award two solo exhibitions as part of the BIPOC initiative, which will open October 25th, 2025 and runs through December 27th, 2025. This will be the fifth and final year of this initiative, which, works to fundamentally transform the diversity showcased in FAM’s exhibitions and foster a welcoming environment for the public, especially BIPOC audiences.

The Village of Beverly Hills is seeking applications for original sculptures of a size, weight and material suited to an outdoor setting. Selected works will demonstrate the connections between art and the natural environment. The sculptures, to be selected by local artists and approved by the Parks and Recreation Board, will be on loan from the artist to the Village for three years, May 2025 through April 2028. A $1200 stipend will be paid to the artist upon successful installation of the sculpture.

Situated in the center of Oregon, over 200,000 people call Deschutes County home. Central Oregon, widely known for its stunning mountains, rivers, pine forests and recreational opportunities, will now be home to a new 100,000 square foot library in east Bend known as Stevens Ranch, a new branch library in Redmond and completely renovated and renewed libraries in the communities of La Pine, Sunriver and Sisters and in historic downtown Bend. The project is funded by a voter approved bond measure. 1% of the brick and mortar costs are reserved for the purchase of art. Webb School of Knoxville is inviting applications from visiting artists for their 2025-2026 artist-in-residence program. Artists spend five weeks working with their students part time and in their own studios part time. Artists are asked to mount an exhibition and donate a representative piece upon completion of their residency. The School of Art at Kent State University is now accepting proposals for the 2025-26 Curlee Raven Holton & Raven Fine Art Editions Distinguished Art Fellow. The Curlee Raven Holton and Raven Fine Art Editions Distinguished Fellowship has been established to bring globally recognized leaders in art and the academy to the Kent State University School of Art to work with students as teachers, mentors, and critics. The Fellows' engagement will strengthen a critical link between the School of Art at Kent State and the international artistic community. Fellows will give public lectures, exhibit artwork or curate an exhibit, teach workshops, and/or participate in studio visits and critiques. Fellows' work shall be displayed in one of the School of Art Galleries during or just prior to their visit.

There are many ways to imagine it, to perceive it in day-to-day life: living life in the hyphen, tales of Persephone or Charon, physical places, story and memory, and the transitional metaphysics of space, time, and imagination. Liminal spaces are all around and passing through them regularly, but lest people stop and think about them, they are often forgotten or deliberately ignored: the forgotten in-between. In their fifth call for submissions, they propose taking the time to slow down, to pause in limbo and consider these transitory places and phases of the human experience, to explore the very state that takes people from where they were to where they are going.

The City of Maryland Heights Cultural Art Commission is now accepting proposals for exhibitions in their City Facilities. All entries must be the original, creative work executed by the artist. Display space accommodates 2D framed or gallery wrapped wall art. No sculpture, video or ceiling suspended work will be accepted (see Display Details below for more information). All artists interested in displaying their work must submit an application via the Maryland Heights City website. The process includes uploading digital images of artwork to be considered. This workshop will focus on the storytelling qualities of quilts. Using a series of narrative prompts designed to draw out personal stories, beginning to advanced students will be guided through the process of making experimental quilts. Instruction will be geared toward hand-sewing techniques such as stitches, appliqué, embroidery, quilting, and finishing (sewing machines will also be available). Other topics will include color relationships, elements of composition, and visual storytelling concepts. We will work with repurposed cloth; thrift shop trips are on the itinerary. A willingness to mess up will be a definite plus. All levels. Upper textiles studio.

Each summer the Visitor Center Artist Camp hosts Resident Artists from around the country for two weeks of camping, living cooperatively outdoors, playing, reflecting, and making art in conversation with nature.

The Wild Clay Workshop leads residents through the entire process from prospecting to harvesting, mixing and making, and through various firing processes. This workshop is taught by professional wild clay hunter and co-founder of VCAC, Amy Joy Hosterman, and ceramicist Caitlin Zachow.

Independent Projects Artists in Residence have time and space to explore nature and work on independent art mediums. Artist and educator Stephanie Howells and UP geologist and artist Evan Lanese are on staff to support Independent Residents, providing guidance, access to tools, and connections to resources.

Blue Space Gallery - “Earth, Fire, Air, Water”, an international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their medium and style. Submissions should revolve around the central theme of “Earth, Fire, Air, Water”. Entry is free; only those artists whose submissions are chosen as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their artwork showcased in the online exhibition and will advance to the final jurying round in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000. Awards will be granted to those whose work demonstrates the greatest level of creativity and artistry.

SAC International Curatorial Residency Program 2025 is the residency program at Barcelona's Sant Andreu Contemporani, in collaboration with Fabra i Coats - Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona, available to international curators. As part of the program, they are announcing an open call for proposals to choose an international curator who will be part of the Miquel Casablancas Prize for the Visual Arts’ jury in 2025, and will later develop a curatorial project with a selection of Catalan artists chosen from applicants to the prize. The project must be presented at the country of residence of the curator or in another international venue that she/he decides.

Applications for City of Moonee Valley’s Biannual Community Grants are now open! Whether you’re a First Peoples-led organisation, local business owner, artist, community group or social enterprise they’ve got grants available to help you fund your dream project. Apply for up to $10,000 for arts projects and events or festivals that benefit the Moonee Valley community. Commercial events can also apply for up to $5,000. They’ll be running a series of grant writing workshops to make the application process easier.

Telstra NATSIAA is the longest running and most prestigious celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture. For over 40 years, the Telstra NATSIAA has provided a platform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to showcase their diverse practices and cultural expressions on the national stage. An important part of Australia’s cultural calendar, the Telstra NATSIAA honours established, mid-career artists and emerging artists. Each year artists come to the fore and are recognised for their works of significance, strength and cultural integrity. Many respected Elders have graced the Awards over the decades sharing their knowledges and encouraging the next generation. Similarly, it is through Telstra NATSIAA many acclaimed artists debuted innovations in their practice or first shared their works with their peers and the world.

Each year NXTHVN welcomes up to seven artists and two curators to participate in its paid 10-month intensive Fellowship Program. Each Fellow will receive studio or office space, a stipend, and subsidized housing. Selected from an international pool of applicants, Fellows relocate to New Haven to participate in NXTHVN’s mentorship-driven curriculum which includes professional development sessions led by visiting artists, curators, scholars, and practitioners. Selected Fellows are also matched with a high school Apprentice, for focused one-on-one mutual learning, which gives the next local generation a chance to grow and excel in creative fields. The Fellowship year culminates with an annual group show at a prominent gallery space.

The Theodore Urbach Landscape Prize and Studio Scholarship (“The Urbach”) is a prize and scholarship offered at Shepparton Art Museum (SAM). The Urbach is designed to encourage continued exploration of Australian landscape painting by contemporary artists. The Theodore Urbach Landscape Prize & Studio Scholarship consists of: $5,000 cash prize, $5,000 scholarship stipend, 3-month access to the SAM Artist Studio, tailored professional development opportunities throughout the 3-month program. The Urbach is proudly supported by the Theodore Urbach Landscape Painting Scholarship and Prize Charitable Trust managed by Equity Trustees. The Urbach Prize and Scholarship is open to artists living in Victoria who meet the eligibility requirements. The Creative Placemaking Commission invites experienced public artists/teams that have completed at least one outdoor artwork or mural in the past ten years, are at least 18 years or older, and residents of Minnesota to submit qualifications for design and installation services to transform utility boxes in the South Loop District into creative, exciting, & captivating objects of art that celebrate Bloomington while enhancing the district’s character & vitality. Priority consideration will be given to Bloomington residents. Each selected applicant will receive a $2,000 budget for a single painted utility box. For the cluster of painted and wrapped utility boxes, one selected applicant will receive a $6,000 budget. Deadline: Monday, March 3, 2025 by 11:00 PM CST.

Rowan University Art Gallery & Museum presents the 2025 New Jersey Arts Annual (NJAA) in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. The NJAA is a unique series of exhibitions highlighting the State’s visual and performing artists. The theme for the Arts Annual 2025 will be Artist as Activist, inviting submissions of work that reflect artistic thoughts and responses to this concept. An artist as activist is someone who harnesses the power of creativity to inspire social and political action. Unlike traditional activism, which often relies on direct action or advocacy, these artists engage in activism through various forms of expression, particularly visual art. Their work challenges norms, raises awareness of critical issues, and encourages audiences to think critically about the world around them.

The Arts Annual will seek artists whose work addresses a broad range of topics and concerns, including human rights and access to resources, environmental awareness and justice, racial and gender equality, health and well-being, and the political and cultural climate. This work may serve as a vehicle for advocacy, highlighting injustices, and envisioning alternatives. By capturing emotions, experiences, and truths through their art, these artists strive to promote empathy, spark dialogue, and inspire individuals toward collective action.

The Steering Committee for the National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices would like to invite students and professional artists intending to attend the conference to submit proposals for the 2019 NCCCIAP Coke Bin Installations. Each participant(s) may submit a group or individual proposal for an outdoor installation to be installed and exhibited in one of ten old coke bins that are located at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark. Installations must incorporate iron literally or conceptually as long as the preservation of the historical architecture is left unharmed. Submissions could include, but are not limited to: static sculpture/installation; hanging sculptural elements from a built structure that rests on top of the bin; projection or audio; performance; and/or interactivity, etc.

National Sculpture Society is presenting a $2,500 grant to be awarded to a talented emerging sculptor who self-identifies as Black or African American. A racially diverse jury of three sculptors and/or curators, including at least two of whom are Black or African American, will review applications and select one winner. Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number. Works inspired by nature are preferred.

Surf Coast Shire Council’s 2025 DEVELOP Artists and Creatives Grants are open to residents involved in arts and culture. This program supports emerging, mid-career, and established creatives, including First Nations people, individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, and people with disabilities, funding intensive research, experimentation, and new ideas. Creatives can apply for grants of $3,000 for individuals and $5,000 for collectives to assist them in exploring new ideas and advancing their creative practice and careers. Surf Coast Shire Council’s 2025 DEVELOP Artists and Creatives Grants aligns with the Creative Places Strategy 2023–2031, the program Grants encourage innovation through new collaborations, methodologies, and learning opportunities.

The City of Laramie, Wyoming, Laramie Main Street Alliance, and Laramie Public Art Coalition have partnered to complete a beautification of 3rd Street, the main road and state highway in downtown Laramie. The opportunity exists for artwork that acts as a gateway to the downtown neighborhood on both the south and north sides of 3rd Street. Artwork that is visible both day and night and interactive with cars and pedestrians has been identified through previous planning.

Finalists in the RFQ process will be paid $1,000 to develop an original proposal and respond to an RFP. The artist fee for finalist designs in the RFP process is $4,000. The City of Napa opens an RFQ for artists, or artist teams, to develop unique paving designs for one of six (6) intersections in downtown Napa. These creative paving designs are intended to increase safety for all roadway users, especially pedestrians, and create a public art intervention to energize our streets. This opportunity is design only.

The Moline Public Art Commission, MetroLINK, and Quad City Arts are seeking an artist or artist team to design and install an interactive public art installation on the grounds at 1315 4th Avenue, Moline, Illinois. A series of lit interactive sculptures or one large sculpture could be placed in the grassy plaza to the east of The Q Multimodal Station. A mural, lighting, or sculptural component working in conjunction with the sculptures in the grassy plaza, could cover the stairwell building to the skywalk. The art would activate the space and invite locals and tourists alike to stop, visit, and walk through the area. This will be the largest public art installation ever done in the Quad Cities. The goal is for this public art project to celebrate artistic excellence in a work of art that will activate the site and create an art space that will draw people in, engage the community, and encourage social interaction in the heart of downtown Moline.

Public Functionary invites individual emerging visual artists to submit a body of work for an exhibition responding to the theme of “return.” Public Functionary will exhibit two selected projects concurrently in their main gallery space #144 at the Northrup King Building in Minneapolis. Public Functionary will support each exhibiting artist with a $1,000 stipend. In addition, PF will provide in progress studio visits, curatorial support, installation, promotion, design, and additional resources as needed. The exhibitions will open in August 2025 and will run for 5 weeks.

The AFA Catalogue is not a magazine but rather a collection of scholarly essays published in a hardcover artbook format as well as presented digitally in a manner similar to an exhibition catalogue. Only the best in show artists from AFA online exhibitions are included in all formats of the catalogue, digitally and in print. The catalogue includes artists who have works in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Artists included in the catalogue have also been critically published by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, National Geographic, Financial Times, and The Guardian. There are also quite a few artists in the catalogue who are represented by some of the most respected galleries in the world.

NYU Langone Health are seeking a Long Island based Artist or Artist Team to design, fabricate, and oversee the installation of a site-specific suspended sculpture for the two-story atrium of the new Ambulatory Care Center in Manhasset, New York by December 2026. Formerly a retail space, the building is undergoing a complete transformation into a state-of-the-art healthcare facility designed to serve the surrounding communities. Spanning 162,000 square feet, the center will house a wide range of specialties, including radiology, orthopedics, pulmonary care, gastroenterology, breast imaging, and other ambulatory services. The purpose of this project is to create a dynamic sculptural installation that engages with patients, families, and staff, fostering a sense of connection and upliftment.

The Universal Access Artist Residency is for artists who identify as having a disability. This month-long residency provides funding, studio space and professional support for an artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. During the residency the artist works in the gallery where the work will be exhibited.

Artspace seeks exhibition proposals from visual artists and curators across the U.S. for the 2026 exhibition cycle through early 2027 in Gallery 1 and Gallery 2. Open to professional, mid-career and established artists and curators residing in the U.S. Two-person or group proposals by artists are also welcomed.

This fellowship provides opportunities for independent artists to engage the public in critical issues impacting Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) across the country. They consider a variety of art forms, such as music, video, visual arts, performing arts, poetry, and more. Up to eight artists will receive $30,000 contracts to produce work with the potential to break through mainstream media and catalyze conversations around the following three themes: In it Together, Belonging, and Voting Together.

Central Oregon Community College (COCC) desires to commission a work(s) of art as part of the Madras Campus expansion project in Central Oregon. This request for proposal is open to local artists with experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of public artworks.
