The program provides support for accommodations and other expenses related to the visit. The Rauschenberg Foundation Archives, consisting of Robert Rauschenberg’s personal papers and the records from his Florida and New York studios, is the most comprehensive body of information on the artist’s life and career. Fellowship Program for Emerging and Underrepresented Women and Non-Binary Artists has enabled more than 120 artists to realize their first solo exhibition in New York City with the support of the A.I.R. community. The Fellowship Program annually awards six local emerging artists with their first solo exhibition, professional development programming, curatorial support, and mentorship during a 12-month fellowship that runs September–August. Intended to support artists in building sustainable and enriching artistic practices, the program provides participants with career-changing, lifelong resources and community in a space that encourages creative risk-taking and intergenerational dialogue. Central to the program are a series of professional development workshops on subjects such as grant writing and exhibition design, close collaboration with an A.I.R. artist mentor, and scheduled studio visits throughout the year, including one with a selection panelist.

Exceptional portraiture and eye-catching colors are critical elements that will simultaneously draw attention to the artwork and communicate the personality and essence of each featured Airman. Each design should consider the role of visual storytelling as a foundational component of this project and how the installation as a whole aims to be celebratory and illuminating in nature. Upon advancing to the Request for Proposal/Designs (RFP) phase, selected artists should consider the unique characteristics of their assigned Airmen while also understanding and artfully illustrating the unifying aspects between each Airman through his service. Successful artwork will weave together historical references with contemporary design elements, and it should consider how it can stand out among a group of portraits/designs. Each selected artist will receive a creative brief that includes reference imagery and background information on each assigned Airman.

Located in the heart of downtown Ashland Virginia, the Hanover Arts & Activities Center (the Center) has long served as a home for artists and cultural activity. In partnership with the Town of Ashland (the Town), the Center invites artists working in various media to apply for a yearlong studio residency program through a juried selection process that will provide affordable, professional studio space to local artists. Through the Town’s support, a portion of each artist’s rent will be subsidized, allowing studios to be offered at a substantially reduced rate.

- Award Info: A maximum of $300,000.00 is allocated for this project. All expenses for the selected design and commission are the responsibility of the artist/team, including but not limited to: travel/lodging, fabrication and supplies, installation expenses (as needed: engineering, rigging, equipment rental, etc). The Residence Hall Selection Committee, in consultation with the NAC, has full oversight for the selection of an artist for this project. Professional public artists/teams within the U.S. are eligible. The Committee reviews RFQ submissions on SlideRoom. Finalists will receive a presentation honorarium ($3000) and a travel stipend ($2000), if applicable. Finalist presentations should include concept, design, detailed budget for the available funds, installation method, projected maintenance.

This Request for Qualifications is for an exterior artwork site on the west side of the new Residence Hall.
A variety of health professions students will call this building home. The Committee’s goal is to create a vibrant environment that welcomes people with an artwork that is refined, yet adds character and unique qualities to the building. The Committee would like the artwork to help the building stand apart from other buildings in Omaha, as a lively location that is clearly where health professions students study, play, relax, and most importantly, call home. Imagine, after a long day of clinical training, biomedical labwork, public health practicums, etc., arriving home to joyful artwork that invites residents and guests to use the other side of their brain.

Community Murals at Eureka Park Recreation Center

Indoor Mural – A painted mural located inside the Recreation Center will enliven the space with themes of unity, resilience, and community pride. The indoor mural extends across three walls. The rooms can have distinct designs, or a single design that bridges both spaces, but the color palette must be unified. Outdoor Panels – Four digitally rendered designs will be printed on stretched, anchored vinyl panels for exterior installation. The building has a series of eyelet anchor bolts incorporated into the concrete pier structures to anchor the artwork. These panels should complement the indoor mural, extending its themes and palette into the public-facing outdoor space.

The Hobe Sound Public Library, located within the Hobe Sound Community Redevelopment Area, has recently been renovated through the generosity of a local donor. To celebrate these enhancements, the library seeks to commission an artist or artist team to create a vibrant mural that highlights the joy of reading and the library's unique natural surroundings. The mural should illustrate Florida's scrub environment, incorporating native plants such as Sand Pine, Oaks, Saw Palmetto, and Rosemary, as well as local wildlife including gopher tortoises, snakes, lizards, and various birds. Additional scrub inhabitants like black bears, white-tailed deer, skunks, bobcats, and squirrels may also be included.
