This is a painting of a typical winter morning in Vermont. Long shadows reflecting the deep blue sky overhead, snow drifting and the quintessential barn on a hill. I found this spot while scouting another favorite barn just down the road, first spotting it in my rearview mirror one evening last autumn. I returned in winter and thought it would make a nice little painting. It's a simple composition with a quiet feel.
