My art practice challenges social and linguistic constructs in the United States through precisely crafted artworks organized into collections.
MessageThe sculpture assembles domestic materials—pipe insulation, flashing, nylons, high heels, tampon, saw blade, and crime tape—into a stark commentary on gendered violence. The pedestal, wrapped in wallpaper, mimics domestic decor yet is pierced by evidence markers of assault. A black stiletto clings to the form while its pair is discarded nearby, evoking struggle or disappearance. The “DO NOT CROSS” tape transforms the intimate, everyday setting into a site of trauma, implicating societal complicity in overlooking violence against women within spaces presumed safe.
