My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageThis tangled form of vacuum hose, pipe insulation, and aluminum flashing—materials drawn from domestic labor and containment—suggests a chaotic, unresolved knot of complicity. The stockings and delicate pink garment evoke femininity, vulnerability, and the residue of unwanted contact. Suspended and decorative, yet also clinical and cold, the sculpture confronts the viewer with the insidious nature of sexual harassment and sexual violence: whether tolerated, ignored, or encouraged, it lingers, entangled in everyday life.
