"Adirondack Earthpod" explores the elements of wood and earth, specifically inspired by New York's Adirondack Mountains. The design work for this piece is a micro view of tree bark. At the same time, the view can be pulled back to reveal a macro view that suggests a topographical reference to land and water. This micro/macro view offers a perspective that considers both views simultaneously as an approach to life.
The brass gilding on the interior of this piece is an alloy that will age over many years. The effect is intentional to reflect the natural cycles of nature.
