"Golden Earthpod" explores the element of earth and, in particular, what the animal kingdom considers "home" as it parallels with our own version of "home." Experiencing nature as a "city of homes" prompted Serena Kovalosky to imagine what it must be like to live inside a discarded pod. Hence, "I Could Live in Here."

The brass gilding in this piece is an alloy that will age over many years. The effect is intentional to reflect the natural cycles of nature.
