In the crisp air of the Nothern light resides a calm and present notion. This place is a realm of clear and undisturbed essence where we may rejuvenate each and every morning. Here at the top of the world you sit and imagine the promise of another glorious day surrounded by the stillness of this serene and Tranquil Summit.

There's something comforting and calming about this image. Most of my images are created in an improvisational manner. This means that I loosely use reference and sometimes none at all. I try to allow the image a life of it's own as if it has a consciousness of it's own. When I'm done with an image I try to see what it's telling me. That's where the title usually comes from.

I imagined reaching a huge goal in life like coming to the summit of a mountain. This enormous rock like structure stands there and reminds you that you're life is stable, you're not alone. It's presence is calm, rooted, and serene. The light in the are is crisp, clean and pure. This is a place of pure meditation, a space to start new and refresh yourself. A deep and fulfilling breath is in order and your only response is one of pure gratitude for the incredible life you've been given.
