The Akita City Cultural Creation Center is a facility dedicated to supporting citizens’ creative activities and hosts an annual “Creator-in-Residence” program. Through the residency of creators, the program provides opportunities for citizens to take on new forms of expression. The Cultural Creation Center aspires to remain a vessel that embraces limitless possibilities—fearlessly adapting to change and continually challenging new horizons. In this spirit, they are now seeking creators who will engage with the region’s culture and people, collaborating and creating alongside them. Mitu’s Hybrid Arts Lab supports women, trans, and non-binary artists working at the intersection of performance and technology, with a focus on early-career BIPOC artists. The program provides studio space, technical resources, mentorship, and training to a small cohort, culminating in public studio visits that foster community dialogue on art and innovation.
In 2025, Mitu’s sixth annual Hybrid Arts Lab will support three artists over eight months. Each will receive a $3,000 award, five weeks of access to MITU580’s space and technology, mentorship from Founding Artistic Director Rubén Polendo, training with guest artists, and a materials budget for public studio visits. This initiative helps artists expand their practice at the intersection of performance and technology.

This program joins visual artists with the wonder and unexpected opportunities in Wyoming State Parks. This is a 10 day road trip residency in either August or September of 2025 where artists will have a choice of itinerary that includes visiting a minimum of 4 state parks where you can be inspired by the beauty of the state. Camping is required, no gear will be provided although cabins, yurts and dorm housing may be available. This is a joint program through Wyoming State Parks and the Wyoming Arts Council.

The City of Bloomington invites public artists to submit qualifications to design a vibrant mural that will be installed in the Bloomington Ice Garden (BIG) vestibule. The final design will be printed and installed by a separate vendor.
Applicants are welcome from the state of Minnesota. The total budget is $8,000 for the purposes of providing a digital artistic design that can be used by a City-selected vendor to wrap the vestibule wall.

Currently seeking 2025 Visiting Artists! Sloss Furnaces Foundation hosts three, 8-week Visiting Artists throughout the year, typically in the Summer (June-Aug) and Fall (Sept-Nov). This program is designed for artists interested in developing their studio practice and honing technical skills. Visiting Artists will be provided with a furnished apartment near Sloss Furnaces, casting materials, and 24-hour studio access in Sloss' historic casting shed. Albee Foundation maintains the William Flanagan Memorial Creative Persons Center (better known as "The Barn") in Montauk, Long Island, New York, as a residence for writers and visual artists of all media. The Center is open year-round (with the exception of December, when it is closed for general maintenance and holidays), and can accommodate four creative persons at a time. Residencies are for calendar months only. The standards for admission are, simply, talent and need. Located approximately two miles from the center of Montauk and the Atlantic Ocean, "The Barn" rests in a secluded knoll which offers privacy and a peaceful atmosphere.

Munson’s Artists-in-Residence program (AIR) is an education-based residency that allowsone emerging artist to live, work, and teach on the Munson and Pratt Munson College of Art & Design campus in Utica, New York for one academic year. The AIR program is designed for emerging artists or recent visual arts MFA graduates interested in working in art education in community arts and college curricula while receiving support to develop a vibrant, self-directed studio practice. A successful AIR applicant works in photography, embracing either traditional or expanded lens-based processes. Experience in both analogue and digital photographic mediums is desired. Programming includes presenting a public lecture, teaching community arts education classes, holding a public open studio event, and designing and implementing accessible community projects with various departments on campus. Artists receive financial support, housing, meals, studio, and an exhibition in the Museum of Art.

Are you a Bay Area artist? SF Parks Alliance, in partnership with SFMTA, seeks artists for a public asphalt art mural on Sanchez Slow Street in Noe Valley. The project includes stakeholder coordination, community engagement, design, and installation of a 1,500 sq. ft. painted street mural.
Eligibility: Artists 18+ residing in the nine Bay Area counties with experience painting public artworks 700 sq. ft. or larger. Asphalt or roadway painting experience preferred.

Visual artists, performing artists, and writers interested in its two-year-long Studio Residency Program in Kansas City, MO, are encouraged to apply. The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art and Serendipity Arts Foundation present a new collaboration—Futures in Formation: A Public Art Programme—supporting artistic projects by Indian artists (individuals and collectives) working with a variety of publics, communities and environments. The program will support the development of the proposed projects through aspects of research, production, dissemination and other routes of mobilisation as required. It will entail financial support of Rs. 3 Lakh each for the project detailed in their application, to support the time period of the program (1st May 2025 to 1 March 2026).
