Artists are invited to enter original innovative art created from fiber and recycled and repurposed mixed media. Artwork must include a fiber component or textile technique, must be of original design, and must have been completed after January 1, 2020. This juried exhibition will appear in the summer issue of Fiber Art Now to be released July 1, 2025. Invited artwork will be eligible for the on-site exhibition at Guilford Art Center in Guilford, Connecticut, July 1 through July 27, 2025.

This exhibit explores the evocative theme of abandoned architecture and the traces left by humanity. They seek to showcase images that reveal the stories etched into architectural spaces and the objects left behind—the marks, structures, and artifacts that speak to our histories and inspire contemplation. This is a call to preserve these fleeting spaces and objects through photography before they fade, rot, or crumble into obscurity.

The Akita City Cultural Creation Center is a facility dedicated to supporting citizens’ creative activities and hosts an annual “Creator-in-Residence” program. Through the residency of creators, the program provides opportunities for citizens to take on new forms of expression. The Cultural Creation Center aspires to remain a vessel that embraces limitless possibilities—fearlessly adapting to change and continually challenging new horizons. In this spirit, they are now seeking creators who will engage with the region’s culture and people, collaborating and creating alongside them. To support residents’ activities, they will tailor assistance to their needs, including introducing them to local experts and businesses and forming dedicated support teams.

Mitu’s Hybrid Arts Lab supports women, trans, and non-binary artists working at the intersection of performance and technology, with a focus on early-career BIPOC artists. The program provides studio space, technical resources, mentorship, and training to a small cohort, culminating in public studio visits that foster community dialogue on art and innovation.

In 2025, Mitu’s sixth annual Hybrid Arts Lab will support three artists over eight months. Each will receive a $3,000 award, five weeks of access to MITU580’s space and technology, mentorship from Founding Artistic Director Rubén Polendo, training with guest artists, and a materials budget for public studio visits. This initiative helps artists expand their practice at the intersection of performance and technology.

This program joins visual artists with the wonder and unexpected opportunities in Wyoming State Parks. This is a 10 day road trip residency in either August or September of 2025 where artists will have a choice of itinerary that includes visiting a minimum of 4 state parks where you can be inspired by the beauty of the state. Camping is required, no gear will be provided although cabins, yurts and dorm housing may be available. This is a joint program through Wyoming State Parks and the Wyoming Arts Council.

The En Foco Artist Fellowship Program is designed to support artists of color who utilize lens-based mediums and digital media technologies in their creative processes. This program merges the previous Photography Fellowship and Media Arts Fund, creating a unified opportunity for photographers and media-based artists in New York State. While applicants may apply to both forms for photographers and media-based artists, they will receive only one award. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of industry professionals, ensuring recognition for the highest-quality work.

Cat and Mouse is a playful way to illustrate a certain type of power struggle. This game of constant pursuit, capture, and escape is a trope of fables, fiction, movies, and cartoons. Will one win over the other, or are the combatants locked in a never-ending game where the upper hand is gained, but eventually lost? The Decatur Arts Alliance invites artists working in all media to submit up to 3 works that explore the meaning of the game of “Cat and Mouse” in all its aspects: historical, political, and moral.

Mural Design for Bloomington Ice Garden
The City of Bloomington invites public artists to submit qualifications to design a vibrant mural that will be installed in the Bloomington Ice Garden (BIG) vestibule. The final design will be printed and installed by a separate vendor.

Applicants are welcome from the state of Minnesota. The total budget is $8,000 for the purposes of providing a digital artistic design that can be used by a City-selected vendor to wrap the vestibule wall.

Art in the Berkshires is proud to present its first local artist and artisan, juried art show! This show celebrates local talent and offers an art show at Eastover Contemporary Space in Lenox, MA, June 4th through July 5th, 2025. Omnia Art Prize & Exhibition is a leading annual art prize and exhibition celebrating emerging and established Australian contemporary artists. 2nd Sundays on Mill is a seasonal market held in Downtown Tempe, Arizona, from November 2024 through April 2025. The event supports local artists and entrepreneurs, featuring handcrafted items, unique artisan products, upcycled creations, vintage items, and Arizona-grown produce. The market takes place on the second Sunday of each month from 10 AM to 3 PM along Mill Avenue, between 3rd Street and University Drive. Currently seeking 2025 Visiting Artists! Sloss Furnaces Foundation hosts three, 8-week Visiting Artists throughout the year, typically in the Summer (June-Aug) and Fall (Sept-Nov). This program is designed for artists interested in developing their studio practice and honing technical skills. Visiting Artists will be provided with a furnished apartment near Sloss Furnaces, casting materials, and 24-hour studio access in Sloss' historic casting shed. Visiting Artists are expected to have a final exhibition at The 600 at the conclusion of their residency. The majority of the work is to be displayed for up to a year, with the option to sell throughout the exhibition. Artists are expected to donate one piece from their residency to Sloss Furnaces' permanent collection.

The Emerald Art Center announces their 19th Annual Emerald Spring Painting Exhibition 2025, a fine art painting competition with $5,000 plus in Cash Awards. Best of Show $1,500; Gold Medal $1,000; Silver Medal $700; Bronze $500, People's Choice Award $250 and others to be announced. This exhibition was conceived to recognize and reward excellence in fine art from all over the United States.

The Fiber Artists of Oklahoma invite you to participate in Fiberworks 2025, May 16 thru June 27, 2025. This juried fine fiber art event showcases artists who work in weaving, needlework, basketry, quilting, soft sculpture, beading, paper, knitting, crocheting, felting and works primarily constructed of fiber. All hung (2D and 3D) and freestanding artwork are eligible, as well as pieces made of non-fibrous materials, but utilizing techniques normally used in the construction of fiber arts. All work must have been completed during 2023-2025. Ceiling-suspended artwork is not eligible.

Colors of Humanity Art Gallery invites artists to submit work for its online exhibition, running April 1-30, 2025. Open to artists 18 and older, the show focuses on the human figure, portraiture, and innate human characteristics—thoughts, emotions, and behaviors unaffected by culture. The National Council on Aging (NCOA) seeks entries for a juried photography exhibit at Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, VA and Mosaic Arts in Fairfax, VA. $6500 in awards. This call invites professional and amateur photographers in the U.S. only. Photo subjects also must live in the U.S. The NCOA is eager to discover captivating stories and showcase authentic, everyday individuals. Only color photographs are accepted. They aim to honor the industrious, persevering spirit of the land and people who have called the Midwest home. They strive to make SMFF a supportive resource for both emerging and established filmmakers.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute invites all artists with disabilities worldwide to submit artwork to participate in the 2025 Art of Possibilities Art Show & Sale. The Art Show has a rich tradition of exhibiting and selling the creative artwork of inspiring artists with physical and cognitive disabilities. More than 500 pieces are reviewed each year in six categories: Graphics, oils and acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, photography and sculpture and more than $4,600 in awards will be presented. All work must be original. Artists are limited to entering a maximum of four works and all art must be for sale.

The Edward F. Albee Foundation maintains the William Flanagan Memorial Creative Persons Center (better known as "The Barn") in Montauk, Long Island, New York, as a residence for writers and visual artists of all media. The Center is open year-round (with the exception of December, when it is closed for general maintenance and holidays), and can accommodate four creative persons at a time. Residencies are for calendar months only. The standards for admission are, simply, talent and need. Located approximately two miles from the center of Montauk and the Atlantic Ocean, "The Barn" rests in a secluded knoll which offers privacy and a peaceful atmosphere.

Munson’s Artists-in-Residence program (AIR) is an education-based residency that allowsone emerging artist to live, work, and teach on the Munson and Pratt Munson College of Art & Design campus in Utica, New York for one academic year. The AIR program is designed for emerging artists or recent visual arts MFA graduates interested in working in art education in community arts and college curricula while receiving support to develop a vibrant, self-directed studio practice. A successful AIR applicant works in photography, embracing either traditional or expanded lens-based processes. Experience in both analogue and digital photographic mediums is desired. Programming includes presenting a public lecture, teaching community arts education classes, holding a public open studio event, and designing and implementing accessible community projects with various departments on campus. Artists receive financial support, housing, meals, studio, and an exhibition in the Museum of Art.

The City of Auburn invites sculptors to submit applications for Auburn’s Downtown Sculpture Gallery. The works selected for this public art exhibition will be on loan to the City for a period of twelve months (12) and can be available for sale during that time. Each selected artist will receive a $1,000 stipend. At the conclusion of the exhibition a sculpture from the exhibition may be purchased for inclusion in the City of Auburn’s permanent collection. The purchase budget is $10,000. Sitka residencies provide time and space for self-paced work and reflection in an inspiring natural setting. Residents from a broad range of art, writing, performance and science-based practices come to Sitka to create and explore away from the familiar contexts and constraints of daily routines, and free from external expectations. Located within the unique ecosystems of Cascade Head and the Salmon River Estuary on Oregon's central coast, Sitka is a place where natural curiosity is sparked, and creativity is unleashed. From climate change and environmental justice to systemic racism and economic inequality, diverse perspectives help spark new ideas and collaborative approaches to address today's challenges in creative ways.

ArtPrize is an international art competition & cultural festival held annually in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Oklahoma artists are invited to apply for their chance to represent the state of Oklahoma in this international art competition. Five artists will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win a $10,000 grant. This funding supports the creation, transportation, and logistics of their ArtPrize 2025 installation in Grand Rapids, MI (Sept 18–Oct 4, 2025). The winner also receives complimentary registration and ArtPrize assistance in securing a high-visibility venue.

This international exhibition seeks to showcase the best of contemporary fiber art. Submissions are invited that reflect the breadth of functional or non-functional works that use fiber and/or fiber art techniques in traditional or innovative ways. Works made from natural or high tech materials that reference fiber and that blur the lines between art, architecture and craft are welcome.

Are you a Bay Area artist? SF Parks Alliance, in partnership with SFMTA, seeks artists for a public asphalt art mural on Sanchez Slow Street in Noe Valley. The project includes stakeholder coordination, community engagement, design, and installation of a 1,500 sq. ft. painted street mural.

Eligibility: Artists 18+ residing in the nine Bay Area counties with experience painting public artworks 700 sq. ft. or larger. Asphalt or roadway painting experience preferred.

The residency will run as part of their contribution to this year’s Somerset Arts Week’s Open Studios Festival, which will take place between Saturday 13 - Sunday 28 September 2025. Charlotte Street’s call for the Studio Residency Program applications opens February 17, 2025. Visual artists, performing artists, and writers interested in its two-year-long Studio Residency Program in Kansas City, MO, are encouraged to apply. The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art and Serendipity Arts Foundation present a new collaboration—Futures in Formation: A Public Art Programme—supporting artistic projects by Indian artists (individuals and collectives) working with a variety of publics, communities and environments. The program will support the development of the proposed projects through aspects of research, production, dissemination and other routes of mobilisation as required.
