The Mare Island Artyard sculpture exhibition are currently planning our 5th year of art installations that will be on public display from mid-May 2025 through mid-May 2026 on Mare Island in Vallejo, CA. Mare Island is a peninsula that was home to the oldest Naval Base on the West Coast. It still has an active ship port, residential communities, nature preserve, a brewery, distillery, and is a destination for special events including concerts and races. The Mare Island Artyard are seeking art that is contemporary, imaginative, and suitable for a very broad general public. Local Edition will be selecting six (6) self-standing installations to receive a stipend from between $5,000 - $8,000 depending on the size and quality of the art.

Wayne Art Center’s 2025 Regional Juried Spring Open is an exhibition featuring works in painting, drawing, printmaking, works on paper, photography, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, glass, jewelry, metals, fiber and 3D printing technology.  Artists from PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA and Washington, DC are eligible to submit UP TO TWO original works created between 2023 and 2025. Artists submitting 3-dimensional works may upload an additional view of each of up to two pieces.  Artists should NOT submit more than two works for consideration per application.

2025, BAC welcomes their third Emerging Artist Fellowship, running in two cohorts from May 22 to September 11, 2025 and July 24 to November 13, 2025. This fellowship is designed to offer a creative home to emerging artists as they transition and deepen their professional careers and artistic practice. With provided support from BAC, Emerging Artist Fellows will be able to devote uninhibited energy towards creativity. Presenting Art Collide’s "Open Theme”, Winter 2025, international competition and online exhibition. The Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival and Exhibition are dedicated to enhancing the public’s appreciation of works completed in the plein air method while providing a venue for established and emerging artists to share their work with collectors and the public.

Wayne Art Center’s 17th Annual Plein Air Festival will take place May 4 through May 10, 2025 when 32 juried artists from across the country arrive to paint scenes within a 35-mile radius of Wayne, Pennsylvania including historic Main Line towns, rolling farm country, downtown Philadelphia and the Delaware and Schuylkill riverfronts. The work resulting from the 7-day competition will be exhibited at the Wayne Art Center Preview Party & Sale on May 10 and remains on view through June 21, 2025.

Since it was established in 1987 WOW has embraced the worlds of art and design, running an international competition that culminates in a spectacular theatrical performance each year. The exhilarating WOW Show is a visual feast for audiences and an opportunity for designers to be recognised and celebrated on the world stage. WOW offers an opportunity to express innovation, originality and to push the boundaries of creativity. The show represents the last stage of the competition as finalists garments get their moment to shine in front of over 60,000 people.

Space 776 invites artists worldwide to apply for a three-person exhibition in Spring 2025 at their Manhattan gallery. The exhibition will focus on works that push visual and conceptual boundaries, addressing the limits we place on ourselves and others. Artists are encouraged to submit works that challenge established norms, provoke thoughtful dialogue, and engage viewers in meaningful reflection. Applicants should submit five JPEG images (each file 1MB or under) titled in the format: artistname_medium_heightxwidth.jpg. A $35 submission fee applies, with a $0.30 processing fee. Selected artists will be responsible for artwork delivery.

Discovery Green Conservancy is seeking proposals for a temporary outdoor art installation that will captivate and resonate with the park’s diverse audiences. Weingarten Art Group, on behalf of Discovery Green Conservancy, invites artists to propose projects that inspire exploration, magic, and joy in this vibrant urban park – one of Houston’s most beloved public spaces hosting up to two million visitors annually. As outlined in the Request for Proposals, the selected project will be installed on the Sarofim Picnic Lawn for 4-6 weeks in the Fall of 2025. The total project budget is $80,000, inclusive of all costs.

The Asian Women Giving Circle (AWGC) believes culture is an essential part of any strategy for social change. They support projects led by Asian American women or gender-expansive people in NYC that harness the power of arts and culture to:
- Bring about progressive social transformation
- Raise awareness and catalyze action around critical issues that affect Asian American women, girls, gender-expansive people and families
- Highlight and promote their central role as leaders, creators, developers and managers of these projects.

In this grants cycle, they anticipate that 6-8 project grants will be awarded, contingent on available funding. The maximum grant amount is $8,000.

Art Encounters is a year-long outdoor sculpture exhibit that showcases a number of sculptures, in various media and styles, displayed in highly visible areas in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, and Roxborough. The project is designed to promote public interest in art, develop community pride and draw visitors to the retail or civic areas where they are displayed. All art is for sale to the general public.

First established in 2015 as the Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize, the prize was relaunched in 2024 as the Bayside Painting Prize with an increase in prize money for the Major Prize to $25,000, making it one of the most generous non-acquisitive painting prizes in the country.
The $10,000 acquisitive Beckett Local Prize is open to artists who demonstrate a connection to the municipality of Bayside or the work entered is of local subject matter. There is also a 1,000 People’s Choice Prize.
The Bayside Painting Prize is the only annual painting prize held in Melbourne. The finalist exhibition brings together a broad range of artists from across Australia, both established and lesser known, whose varied approaches to the painted medium conveys the breadth and diversity of painting in Australia today.

Founded in 1902, Byrdcliffe is one of the earliest utopian art communities in America. Located approximately 2 hours north of New York City in the unique community of Woodstock, NY, Byrdcliffe artists live and work surrounded by the serene beauty of the Catskill Mountains on a 250-acre property. Artist residency options include month-long communal sessions and 5-month long independent cottage residencies during the summer months, as well as independent residencies in our year-round cottages which range from 3-months to a year. As part of the AiR program, artists are invited to participate in a variety of programs which includes gatherings, talks, practice shares, studio visits, excursions, open studio events, and the annual AiR exhibition the spring after their residency.

Interaction between the invited artists and local artists from Meghalaya is encouraged and anticipated. Additionally, the artists will have the chance to share their knowledge through organized workshops conducted for local schools.

At the conclusion of the residency program, a final exhibition will be organized, during which each artist will present the artworks created during the residency and share their experiences with the invited guests.

The Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art Internships are offered in the spring, summer, and fall terms to students who have not yet completed their degrees, or who have graduated within the past six months. Summer internships are accompanied by a $6,500 stipend, based on a full-time, ten-week schedule. Pro-rated stipends may be available for part-time internships, which are available during the academic year and, in some cases, during the summer.

Established by Gallery Directors Isobel Beauchamp and Elinor Olisa, the Signature Art Prize was founded to identify and celebrate the unique ‘Signature Style’ of early-career artists. With their extensive experience in the contemporary art market, Beauchamp and Olisa are dedicated to nurturing artistic individuality and supporting new talent.

Selected finalists will be invited to participate in the Signature Art Prize Gala Exhibition in June 2025, where they will have the opportunity to present their work in a prestigious gallery setting. In addition to gallery representation, winners will receive prizes generously provided by their sponsors and the opportunity to take part in a month-long artist residency in a central London studio.

Early Career Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) Summer 2025 is an immersive program of studio practice, creative exploration, critical feedback, and mentorship for visual artists and curators in the early stages of their careers.
Open to visual artists and curators working in all visual arts mediums, this program combines the artistic freedom of a self-directed residency with the benefits of technical and faculty support. As well as having the space to create, research, and experiment, participants are part of a community of emerging artists committed to developing and expanding their practice.

International Summer Edition 2025. Share your art to new audiences and help expand reach and visibility. The magazine brings together artists and art world professionals. Including: Artists features, artists interviews, studio visits.
Submissions for the Summer 2025 are open. Preference for this round is artists working in the following areas; Painting, printmaking, drawing, mixed media, collage, fiber art, fine art photography, installation, ceramics and sculpture. This is not suitable for artists right at the start of their career, or looking for curatorial input. It is better suited to artists who are open to talking about their work and process, and wish to share with wider audiences.

The Stiftung Niedersachsen grant at the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art supports a wide spectrum of media art, from video art and net-based projects to audio works and audiovisual installations. Each of the three grants will be awarded for the production of a new project in the area of media art. And international jury will be convene to select the grant recipients. The grant is valid for a duration of six months (July–December 2025). It cannot be prolonged and residency is compulsory; grant recipients can expect to stay in Oldenburg at least one month (can be spread across several stays). The project or artistic work should be completed within the six-month duration of the grant.

Arte Natura is a thematic exhibition based on art inspired by the world of nature and biology. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery, May 15 - June 7, 2025 and is open for entry to all artists working in any media. All interpretations of the theme are acceptable, including landscape, fruits, vegetables, flowers and fauna and human figuration as part of the natural environment. Deadline February 28, 2025.

Da Vinci Art Alliance and CultureWorks both work to provide resources and gathering spaces for their communities. They aim to make a sustainable and lasting impact on the communities we serve. DVAA and CultureWorks are partnering on a series of art exhibitions for 2025. Da Vinci Art Alliance invites artists from across Philadelphia to submit their artwork for a five-month exhibition to be located at CultureWorks in Center City. Artists should submit work that responds to the theme of Philadelphia's futures and legacies. What do you think of when you think of future Philadelphians/Philadelphia?

The primary purpose of the Newport Artists Collective is to provide a platform and community for artists in Newport to connect, collaborate, and showcase their work. This effort involves organizing exhibitions, workshops, events, and other initiatives to support and promote local artists and their creative endeavors.

The Department of Art & Art History invites artists with compelling contemporary practices in any medium to apply for the Borgeson Artist in Residence Program, a twelve-week summer artist residency at Hope College’s De Pree Art Center in Holland, Michigan. The residency runs from from mid-May through mid-August and provides housing, a financial stipend, a personal studio space, and full facility access within the Department of Art & Art History. It concludes with a one-month exhibition at Hope College’s 2,136 sq. ft. De Pree Art Gallery. The exhibition opens in late August and runs through September. The residency stipend is paid in two installments, at the beginning of the residency and in September at the close of the exhibition.

ACCORD Hospice and The Art Department, Paisley Ltd are announcing a CALL FOR ENTRIES for the ACCORD Annual Art Exhibition which takes place for a 4th year in The Art Department. The organisers are looking for entries for Paintings, Drawings, Sculptures, Ceramics, Textiles and Prints. All Sales proceeds will benefit both charities. Sales Commission is 50% with VAT @ 20% on the sales commission element only. Remittance will be by 30th June 2025. Artists may wish to donate works 100% in favour of the charities and should indicate so in any entry description field.

The Freeport Art Museum has an open call for Native American artists within a 150-mile radius of Freeport, Illinois, which is located in the far northwestern corner of the state. This radius includes the major metro locations of Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee. This call seeks to award two solo exhibitions as part of the BIPOC initiative, which will open October 25th, 2025 and runs through December 27th, 2025. This will be the fifth and final year of this initiative, which, works to fundamentally transform the diversity showcased in FAM’s exhibitions and foster a welcoming environment for the public, especially BIPOC audiences.

The Village of Beverly Hills is seeking applications for original sculptures of a size, weight and material suited to an outdoor setting. Selected works will demonstrate the connections between art and the natural environment. The sculptures, to be selected by local artists and approved by the Parks and Recreation Board, will be on loan from the artist to the Village for three years, May 2025 through April 2028. A $1200 stipend will be paid to the artist upon successful installation of the sculpture.

119 North Weatherly is a contemporary online art gallery based in the heart of Minneapolis. 119 North Weatherly was created in order to level the playing field for visual artists by charging only nominal fees for submission and making sure that 100% of each sale goes directly to the artist. All woman-identifying 2-D and video artists are invited to submit up to three works for the “Not Aspiring to Be Humble” juried exhibition. Opening during International Women’s Month, the show will run March 10-April 30, 2025. Submissions are $11 per image, and all artists selected will keep 100% of the sales price of their work if the piece sells.

The inaugural Tartget Prize is one of the most significant international painting competitions. Open to all styles and techniques, the contest offers over $55,000 in prizes across 10 categories, from figurative to abstract.

The MAEP Open Call for the March–June 2026 exhibition launches February 1–28, 2025. The deadline is Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Decisions will be announced by April 30, 2025. Founded in 1975 as a partnership between the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) and regional artists, the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP) has become a unique, ongoing relationship lasting fifty years. One application will be selected to receive $13,500 and the opportunity to realize the proposed exhibition in the 2,500-square-foot U.S. Bank Gallery at Mia. The program is only open to Minnesota residents. All applications must be submitted through the Submittable portal.
