The Mare Island Artyard sculpture exhibition are currently planning our 5th year of art installations that will be on public display from mid-May 2025 through mid-May 2026 on Mare Island in Vallejo, CA. Mare Island is a peninsula that was home to the oldest Naval Base on the West Coast. It still has an active ship port, residential communities, nature preserve, a brewery, distillery, and is a destination for special events including concerts and races. The Mare Island Artyard are seeking art that is contemporary, imaginative, and suitable for a very broad general public. Local Edition will be selecting six (6) self-standing installations to receive a stipend from between $5,000 - $8,000 depending on the size and quality of the art.

Presenting Art Collide’s "Open Theme”, Winter 2025, international competition and online exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their preferred media and style. The competition's theme is "Open," allowing participants to express their creativity by submitting artworks on any subject matter of their choice. Only artists whose works are selected as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. First established in 2015 as the Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize, the prize was relaunched in 2024 as the Bayside Painting Prize with an increase in prize money for the Major Prize to $25,000, making it one of the most generous non-acquisitive painting prizes in the country.
The $10,000 acquisitive Beckett Local Prize is open to artists who demonstrate a connection to the municipality of Bayside or the work entered is of local subject matter. There is also a 1,000 People’s Choice Prize.
The Bayside Painting Prize is the only annual painting prize held in Melbourne. The finalist exhibition brings together a broad range of artists from across Australia, both established and lesser known, whose varied approaches to the painted medium conveys the breadth and diversity of painting in Australia today.

The Stiftung Niedersachsen grant at the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art supports a wide spectrum of media art, from video art and net-based projects to audio works and audiovisual installations. Each of the three grants will be awarded for the production of a new project in the area of media art. And international jury will be convene to select the grant recipients. The grant is valid for a duration of six months (July–December 2025). It cannot be prolonged and residency is compulsory; grant recipients can expect to stay in Oldenburg at least one month (can be spread across several stays). The project or artistic work should be completed within the six-month duration of the grant.

Da Vinci Art Alliance and CultureWorks both work to provide resources and gathering spaces for their communities. They aim to make a sustainable and lasting impact on the communities we serve. DVAA and CultureWorks are partnering on a series of art exhibitions for 2025. Da Vinci Art Alliance invites artists from across Philadelphia to submit their artwork for a five-month exhibition to be located at CultureWorks in Center City. The Department of Art & Art History invites artists with compelling contemporary practices in any medium to apply for the Borgeson Artist in Residence Program, a twelve-week summer artist residency at Hope College’s De Pree Art Center in Holland, Michigan. The residency runs from from mid-May through mid-August and provides housing, a financial stipend, a personal studio space, and full facility access within the Department of Art & Art History. It concludes with a one-month exhibition at Hope College’s 2,136 sq. ft. De Pree Art Gallery. The exhibition opens in late August and runs through September. The residency stipend is paid in two installments, at the beginning of the residency and in September at the close of the exhibition.

The Freeport Art Museum has an open call for Native American artists within a 150-mile radius of Freeport, Illinois, which is located in the far northwestern corner of the state. This radius includes the major metro locations of Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee. This call seeks to award two solo exhibitions as part of the BIPOC initiative, which will open October 25th, 2025 and runs through December 27th, 2025. This will be the fifth and final year of this initiative, which, works to fundamentally transform the diversity showcased in FAM’s exhibitions and foster a welcoming environment for the public, especially BIPOC audiences.

The Village of Beverly Hills is seeking applications for original sculptures of a size, weight and material suited to an outdoor setting. Selected works will demonstrate the connections between art and the natural environment. The sculptures, to be selected by local artists and approved by the Parks and Recreation Board, will be on loan from the artist to the Village for three years, May 2025 through April 2028. A $1200 stipend will be paid to the artist upon successful installation of the sculpture.

119 North Weatherly is a contemporary online art gallery based in the heart of Minneapolis. 119 North Weatherly was created in order to level the playing field for visual artists by charging only nominal fees for submission and making sure that 100% of each sale goes directly to the artist. All woman-identifying 2-D and video artists are invited to submit up to three works for the “Not Aspiring to Be Humble” juried exhibition. Opening during International Women’s Month, the show will run March 10-April 30, 2025. Submissions are $11 per image, and all artists selected will keep 100% of the sales price of their work if the piece sells.

The MAEP Open Call for the March–June 2026 exhibition launches February 1–28, 2025. The deadline is Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Decisions will be announced by April 30, 2025. Founded in 1975 as a partnership between the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) and regional artists, the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP) has become a unique, ongoing relationship lasting fifty years. One application will be selected to receive $13,500 and the opportunity to realize the proposed exhibition in the 2,500-square-foot U.S. Bank Gallery at Mia.
