Art on the Avenue (AOA) is Manitou Springs’ public art program, administered by Creative Alliance Manitou Springs (CRANE). Each year, they display new rotating sculptures, place new murals, and work to increase Manitou’s public art collection. In 2025, CRANE will install 4 sculptures on 2-year contracts, as well as 2 permanent murals.

Remagine Art Prize is an environmental art prize dedicated to bringing awareness of environmental challenges such as waste and consumption. Held in partnership with the Hornsby Art Society since 2009, Remagine Art Prize is delivered and sponsored by Hornsby Shire Council. This year’s theme ‘RE:THINK TO RE:PURPOSE’ refers to the decisions we make each day about how much waste is created, and how materials can be reused to help save precious natural resources. The extraction of raw materials, production, transport, and consumption directly affects the environment, including native wildlife, aquatic species, and birdlife. Artists are asked to submit works that relate to this year’s theme. This non-acquisitive prize is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over, with total prizemoney of $11,000.

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society is proud to support watercolor and other traditional watermedia materials and methods. With the growth of the arts industry comes the introduction of new equipment and practices. As the options for art making expand, so must the horizons of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society guidelines for their member and open juried shows.

The Buinho Residency program is designed for individuals from diverse creative and research backgrounds. Located in the scenic Alentejo region of Southern Portugal, Buinho’s creative hub was established with the invaluable support of a curatorial team boasting over a decade of experience organizing and facilitating various residency initiatives across Portugal. Since its inception in 2016, Buinho has experienced remarkable growth in the number of applications it receives, solidifying its reputation as a highly sought-after artistic residency program. Today, Buinho stands as a prominent European beacon in the realm of artistic residencies due to its unique affiliation with the Fablab, which amplifies creative experimentation opportunities.

The 2025 Abbey Mural Prize is juried by members of the National Academy, including both artists and architects. The Abbey Mural Prize supports projects with grants typically ranging from $10,000 to $40,000. Grants are awarded to create or restore public murals, especially those that promote accessibility and serve local audiences. While murals are conventionally defined as paintings or mosaics on a wall, the prize also encourages proposals that broaden and challenge the definition of what a contemporary mural can be.

The third edition of the Tokyo Biennale is themed "Shall we ‘Sanpo’?” and explores various ways of “Sanpo” – a concept that embraces walking, wandering around, and discovering new perspectives through movement. The “SOCIAL DIVE” AIR OPEN CALL PROGRAM is now calling for projects from around the world to explore this theme of ‘Sanpo’. The mission is to dive into Tokyo (the city) and engage deeply with society (people). “SOCIAL DIVE” involves artists diving into the different areas of Tokyo as part of an art project aimed at discovering both the unique traditions, as well as new values held by the people who live there.

Be-Part and rhizome_ are offering a residency spot this summer for artists who want to focus on developing interdisciplinary work from 1 July until 14 September 2025. The residency will be hosted in the exhibition space of rhizome_, located in Kortrijk's station district. This unique workspace offers a direct connection to both the surrounding environment and the city. The studio is seen as a space for encounters, dialogue, and exchange. They encourage proposals that actively connect with the urban context and engage audiences in innovative ways. To support this, one or two public presentation weekends will be scheduled during the residency. The residency will be culminating in a public showcase on the weekend of 13 and 14 September.

Arts & Education at the Hoyt is currently seeking artists to fill its 2026-27/2027-28 Exhibition Schedules. Solo, duo, collectives and curatorial proposals are welcome. Artists living in the Mid-Atlantic region (PA, OH, NY, NJ, MD, VA, W.VA, DE and Washington DC) will be given preference.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists residing in the US age eighteen and over. Only original work created, conceived, and executed entirely by you, the artist, since 2022 and not previously shown in an Allied Arts Juried Show will be considered. Work from commercial kits, tutorials, copies, or done under instruction are ineligible.

A residency spot has become available at Hakoniemi Residency for the following periods: March 14–March 30, 2025: The entire house (also suitable for families or workgroups). April 1–April 27, 2025: A smaller room. Artists applying individually can also extend their residency period by combining these dates. Founded in 2019 in Oravisalo, Rääkkylä, Hakoniemi residency is a peaceful and inspiring working environment, located and inspired by the beautiful lake-side nature of Northern Saimaa archipelago. They would like to offer a residency place for sustainable work plans of different kinds, and an interest to the natural environment.

In 2007, the Flint Print Club was established at the FIA, its mission to develop connoisseurship among its members and educate the general public about prints and printmaking. Each year the FPC commissions an artist to produce a print to augment both the FIA’s collection and the pursuit of personal collecting. In 2024 the Club evolved to better align with the value's of the museum and the diverse community it serves, with special interest in collaborating with emerging and mid-career artists. In this pursuit, the FIA launched a Call for Entry for the first time in the Club’s history, seeking new voices in printmaking to bring their craft and creativity to Flint. 2025 marks the 2nd annual call.

A thought-provoking art exhibit and fundraising event benefiting Pink Ribbon Jax’s free mammogram and imaging services initiative, BRAject is a life-affirming celebration featuring ordinary bras transformed into original works of art. Created by artists, breast cancer survivors and those who love them, the artrageous bras will be on display at Alexander Brest Gallery June 12 - July 9, 2025. "Breasts at Brest" BRAject creations will be on auction during the opening reception, June 12, 2025, and available via online bidding the remainder of the exhibit.  

Fusion Art announces the 2025 Still Life Art Competition.

For this art competition, 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are encouraged to submit their best work depicting an arrangement of everyday inanimate objects. The subjects of the art can range from a single object to a complex arrangement of objects.

All artists, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art and photography.

The five-week hybrid residency will engage 12 visual artists whose artistic practice includes land-based themes, environmental sustainability, Indigenous narratives of the land, and/or use of natural materials. Artists can apply with a personal project to explore, experiment and research, or complete their final project work. The online portion equips artists to arrive on campus ready to create in a supportive environment with access to a studio and Visual Arts facilities. The residency features workshops, on-the-land engagement, faculty guidance, knowledge exchange centered on integrating Indigenous ways of knowing into the artistic process and the opportunity to showcase works at Open Studios.

The historic Providence Art Club invites artists from throughout the United States to apply for its popular National Open Juried Exhibition. Open to works in all media, this show will be juried by Dr. Jane Dini, Curator of Exhibitions at the Norman Rockwell Museum. $6,000 in prizes will be awarded. Entries are due by May 8.

Cape Fear Studios is proud to announce its 14th National 2D Competition. This juried competition is open to all artists, 18 or older, in the United States. The exhibit will be on display June 27 - August 19, 2025 in the Cape Fear Studios Main Gallery in Fayetteville, NC.

Since 1993, Fundación Botín has awarded Art Grants each year, aimed at artists of any nationality. Each grant provides funding of 23,000€ and promotes and supports those artists who need resources to carry out a research project or training. The result of this process is displayed in the Itinerarios joint exhibition and in a catalogue.

The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts invites Pennsylvania artists to apply to its Images 2025 Juried Gallery Exhibition, which will be on display in the Schlow Centre Region Library throughout the month of July 2025. $1,800 in prize money will be awarded by juror Richard Rinehart at an Awards Reception on July 10 during the 5-day Arts Festival. The Waverley Art Prize has been running since 1986 as a painting and drawing prize. This year the Waverley Art Prize is returning to the Bondi Pavilion Gallery as Bondi’s staple event in the local and national art prize calendar. The Waverley Art Prize is aimed for early to mid-career artists. The Open Prize and Mayor’s Prize-winning works are acquired in the Waverley Council Collection. The funds raised through the art prize support Waverley Woollahra Art School and help them sustain their role as the longest running artist run initiative in Waverley. This year is the 39th anniversary of the Waverley Art Prize. The Waverley Art Prize 2025 is open to painting, drawing, print and mixed media.

The Public Art Program is interested in commissioning an artist or artist team to create a site-specific, large scale permanent sculpture or series of sculptures at Big Bull Creek Park, 20425 Sunflower Road, Edgerton, KS 66021. With Kansas City being one of the hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, this installation presents a unique opportunity to reach a broader international audience. The installation of this permanent art is scheduled for May 2026 with World Cup games and special events occurring across the Kansas City region in June/July 2026. Applications are due 5/11/2025.

The national acquisitive Sunshine Coast National Art Prize is a dynamic visual arts award reflecting outstanding contemporary 2D and new media arts practice in Australia. Since 2006, the exhibition presents the remarkable finalist works by artists from across the country. The artwork awarded with the Major Prize will be acquired into the Sunshine Coast Art Collection. A People’s Choice prize is also decided by way of public vote by exhibition visitors. The Sunshine Coast National Art Prize 2025 is proudly supported by Sunshine Coast Council, Argon Law Sunshine Coast, De Deyne Family, Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, Montville Country Cabins, Coastline BMW and International Art Services.

For Eye to Eye 2025, they are seeking installation proposals with a strong artistic voice and feasible timeline which invite collaboration from other artists. Submitted art samples will primarily be used to give a sense of an artist’s creative voice and ability to follow through on artistic projects.

They will assign teams of 3-4 artists to work together to fabricate the installation. Each team will include at least one artist represented by Fresh Eye Arts, a progressive art studio supporting artists with disabilities.

The Hopper Prize is accepting entries for Spring 2025 artist grants. They are offering $3,500 and $1,000 grants to artists around the world. For this open call, they will be providing 6 grants totaling $11,000 USD. 2 artists will each receive $3,500 and 4 artists will each receive $1,000. This is an international open call. All media is eligible. Their open call provides you with a direct path to get your work in front of an international community of curators, artists, gallerists, and arts administrators. In addition to grants, 30 artists will be selected for a shortlist. Additional exposure is available via their online Journal as well as their Instagram feed, currently reaching an audience over 145k.

Entries open on Tuesday 25 February for the 2025 Olive Cotton Award for photographic portraiture. The $20,000 biennial national award for excellence in photographic portraiture in memory of photographer Olive Cotton will celebrate its 20-year anniversary this year. The finalist exhibition will be selected from entrants across Australia and is a significant opportunity for established and emerging photographers. The Cass Art Prize 2025, presented by The Cass Group, aims to champion contemporary art from across the UK and the Republic of Ireland with a £10,000 cash prize and a free stand at The Other Art Fair in spring 2026 to the overall winner of the competition. There are additional prizes worth £15,000 including a Students Award, an Art Educators Award and more! Plus a prestigious group exhibition at Copeland Gallery, London in autumn 2025.

Josephine Sculpture Park (JSP) is pleased to announce a call for proposals for our Artist-in-Residence program for 2025-2026. The funded residency will begin with a site visit in 2025 and a residency period of up to 10 weeks in 2026. JSP’s Artist-in-Residence program provides visual artists a career-boosting opportunity to make new outdoor work on a large-scale, with the physical space and technical and financial support to succeed.

They are starting off the summer at Side Street Studio Arts with a Pride art show. The color Lavender has been part of LGBTQIA+ community since its early history and has been reclaimed to be a symbol of queer empowerment and resistance. This is a call for art in any medium that explores and represents the LGBTQIA+ community. This exhibition is open to the public June 6 - June 28, 2025, with a public reception on Friday June 6, from 6-9 pm.

The LBIF is pleased to announce an exhibition opportunity for emerging and early career artists. LBIF will showcase works of art created by artists 18 to 40 years of age.
Mediums eligible for submission includes drawing, painting, hand-pulled prints, photography, mixed media, wall-hung 2D materials in the crafts (clay, glass, metal, fibers, wood), video, computer generated digital work displayed as prints.

The Narva Art Residency (NART), in collaboration with the Narva municipality’s department of architecture and urban planning (ALPA), is launching its second open call for a large-scale public art installation or sculpture. This year, the installation will be placed near the Town Hall building, west of the western edge of Helsingi Street. The installation will also serve as a platform for outdoor exhibitions, offering opportunities to engage and highlight various communities in Narva.

Sculpture Missoula announces a call for five sculptures for the inaugural opening of a sculpture garden in Missoula’s most beloved and picturesque park. (Five sculptures will be chosen for exhibition in 2025, with another five in 2026.) This program invites artists to exhibit their work for a 2-year period. The 15-acre park in the heart of Missoula is situated on the banks of the Clark Fork River adjacent to downtown, and offers a variety of recreational activities, including hiking and biking trails, picnic shelters, a boat ramp, parking, accessible public restrooms, and scenic views. Sculpture will be placed along the meandering paths of the park that is linked to the city’s trail system and easily accessed by visitors to Missoula and the city’s neighborhoods.

The Southwest Washington Regional Juried Exhibition serves area artists by providing a high-quality exhibition opportunity that promotes the region’s creative identity. It is organized by The Leonor R. Fuller Gallery at the Kenneth J Minnaert Center for the Arts on the campus of South Puget Sound Community College.
