Oil Painters of America’s Eastern Regional Exhibition of Traditional Representational Oils, September 14 through October 13, 2023, at Beverly McNeil Gallery in Birmingham, AL. Awards will be approximately $11,500 in cash & merchandise, including a $4,000 cash best-in-show award. The juror will be Bill Farnsworth OPA. Submissions are accepted through 7/7/2023. Paid 2023 OPA Membership required. The entry fee is $35 for one, $50 for two & $60 for three; only one may be accepted. The maximum size limitation is 1,200 sq in.

The theme of "Openings" can be interpreted in various ways. Photographs that relate to this theme may showcase physical openings such as doorways, windows, or tunnels, or metaphorical openings such as opportunities, beginnings, or breakthroughs. Photographers can also explore the idea of openings in a more abstract manner, such as through the use of light and shadow, negative space, or unconventional angles.

The Hartnett Gallery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, is now accepting proposals from individual artists, groups, and curators based in the US that are interested in exhibiting their work during the 2023-2024 academic year. Submissions from University of Rochester alumnae artists and artists based in the Rochester area are also welcomed. Each year a panel of undergraduate students and the Hartnett Gallery Advisory Board select three exhibitions to be held during the 2023-2024 academic year.

Taos Abstract Artist Collective (TAAC) invites artists living and working across Northern New Mexico to participate in its 2nd Annual Group Exhibition, which will be held at the Stables Gallery at the Taos Center for the Arts from October 13th – 21st, 2023. Abstract works across disciplines are encouraged. It is our hope to include one abstract work from each artist who submits work, space permitting. As an artist-run collective, 100% of the proceeds from art sales will go directly to the artists. Proceeds from the submission fees are applied towards operational costs to mount the exhibition, including press materials, event-related fees and insurance. Any additional funds raised are applied towards community programming benefiting all members of TAAC.

63 & 93: Generations in Conversation, an exhibition featuring artwork created by artists 30 years of age and younger on display alongside artwork created by artists 60 and older living in Texas. Fifty works of art split evenly between younger and older artists, twenty-five for each age range. This exhibition will focus on influences and conversations, emphasizing how artists from different generations create artwork. The exhibition is not meant to be a competition but a point of conversation, drawing two age groups often seen in opposition to one another due to preconceived ideas. The exhibition will explore changes in technique, media usage, environmental and technological influences, and how artists representative of two periods, the 1960s and the 1990s, are inspired.

The Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) is happy to announce its 2nd Annual Mini Gems Print Exhibition. The annual Art Ability Exhibition and Sale at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital is open to artists with physical, cognitive, visual and/or hearing disabilities.

The 94th Michigan Contemporary Art Exhibition continues a rich legacy of showcasing the work of Michigan artists, from talented beginners to accomplished professionals. Entry is done through CaFÉ, a web-based service that allows artists to upload images and organize their artwork for submissions to galleries. To apply for a call, you must leave our website and go to the CaFÉ website at www.callforentry.org where you can create a FREE artist account. You will add your details and upload your images to CaFÉ and then you can submit work to CREATIVE LICENSE. MEDIA PREPARATION
Please only submit properly cropped images of your work that are in focus.
All images must be in JPEG/JPG format using CaFÉ guidelines. The image size must be 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Maximum file size is 5 mb.
Accepted video formats include MOV, MP4, WMV. Aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, resolution minimum 640x480, maximum 1920 x1080, bit rate recommended above 240 kbps, recommended frame rate 30 fps. File size must be under 100 MB.

NOTIFICATION
Notification will be done by email, everyone who submits will be notified of the juror’s selections. If for any reason you do not hear from us by the notification date, please check the filters in your email account. Notification emails are sent to the email on file with CaFÉ.

SALES
All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist’s website and/or contact information. For any artwork that is sold, the artists receive 100% of the sale.

GIVING BACK

The Annual Juried Members Exhibition is the New Britain Museum of American Art’s opportunity to expose contemporary visual arts to a wide audience. This prominent showcase in the Northeast region highlights the exceptional work of emerging and established artists in all media.

Wickford Art Association is launching its National 2023 from Ordinary to Extraordinary exhibit with Juror David DeMelim, an accomplished photographer who resides in Rhode Island.
The title “From Ordinary to Extraordinary” can be interpreted in a variety of ways. Something ‘ordinary’ follows the norm. Something ‘extraordinary’ goes beyond what is expected. Do you have a photograph that captures ‘the wow’ of an image in an ‘extraordinary’ way? The image may even elicit an emotion from the viewer, with a level of poignancy, or amusement.
Perhaps your image takes something ‘ordinary' and pictures it in a new, eye-opening context, making your subject resonate in an ‘extraordinary’ way. This theme can be interpreted in a variety of ways. The above are some prompts to assist photographers when choosing what images to submit for jurying.
We are looking for works from the past three years that haven’t yet been exhibited at our gallery. This is your chance!

Preza M.A., EPMA Assistant Curator, alongside curatorial advisors Edgar Picazo Merino and Jazmín Ontiveros Harvey. Engaging programming and a publication capturing the show will accompany the exhibition. While the artworks in the Border Biennial focus on the United States / Mexico border, the exhibition provides an opportunity to reflect on borders and their conditions worldwide.

Limner Gallery in Hudson, NY announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 12 - November 4, 2023. Juror: Limner Gallery Director. This is a thematic group exhibition of work that includes and is based on the portrayal, interpretation and/or transformation of the human head. The exhibition is open for entry to all artists working in any media.

Cosmic Bodies & Beneath the Horizon is a dual group show organized by 2023 CalArts REEF artists-in-residence, Caleb Craig and Dongpu Ling.

Beneath the Horizon is a group exhibition merging the coastal diving community and emerging artists in order to explore the ocean as a vital part of our ecosystem. We are challenging artists to reflect on the ocean’s significance in providing food and resources and the implications of continuing our current environmental policies worldwide. We encourage artists to consider the impact of climate change and other environmental factors on the ocean, as well as the effects of human behavior on the ocean and marine life. This exhibition aims to use art as a tool to inspire and encourage viewers to reflect on our relationship with the ocean and the potential ways art might be used to mitigate the serious implications of continuing with our current environmental policies worldwide.

Cosmic Bodies is an exhibition inviting artists to respond to the body as cosmic – defined in Legacy Russell’s “Glitch Feminism” as “infinitely vast”. We challenge artists to submit work that considers bodies that encrypt, stitch, camouflage, and defy boundaries. We encourage artists to consider various ways of tracing, representing, erasing, choreographing, and exploring human and more than human bodies. We invite work dealing with microscopic and macroscopic body ecologies, traces, paradoxes, points of contact, and porosity.

Selected works will be exhibited at The Reef, Maker City LA in October, 2023. We are looking for works demonstrating high creativity, technical skill, and conceptual depth. Please note that all works must be original and created within the last two years.

The Jones Gallery, located in the nationally recognized Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, invites you to apply for our September Group Art Show.
The Jones Gallery is in a 100-year-old historically registered warehouse, having 9000 sq. ft. of display space. In business over 10 years, and open full time six days a week.

This group art show is open to 2D artists, 3D artists, and photographers. No reproductions of original paintings or drawings are allowed. Gallery will jury 0, 1, 2 or a maximum of 3 pieces to exhibit during the group art show.
