Art@Climate 2030 is an art competition that encourages artists to explore the issue of climate change and its impact on the environment and people. The competition is open to all artists from around the world and will be judged by a panel of experts in the field of art and climate change. A professional jury will select 10 winners from the 50 entries that make it to the finals after public voting. No entry fee. A short description about the artist and the artwork will be displayed together with a QR time on the competition’s digital voting platform. This will run from 15 May until 15 August. During June, we will exhibit 30-50 of the entries, which we believe represent the theme of the competition well, in Gothenburg. The Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award 2023 is open to architects, designers and makers worldwide.

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award aims to celebrate and promote the role of drawing within architecture, design and making processes. It is a special category within the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize exhibition and has a separate Entry Process and Selection Panel.

This Working Drawing Award of aims to explore the role of drawing in design and making processes today and to expand and enhance our knowledge and understanding of working drawings – drawings from which something can or will be made, fabricated or constructed. It is anticipated that architects, designers, engineers, makers, planners, scientists, amongst others, who use drawings to ideate, plan and communicate designs will submit their drawings.

The enhancement of this public place by integrating the creative work of artists improves the pedestrian experience and acts as a “gateway” into the heart of Salida. Ideally, the considered concept should be considered a “landmark” that can be associated with Salida, one that will draw attention and encourage engagement. Artists/artist teams will be selected based on artistic excellence and demonstration of skill and quality craftsmanship conveyed in examples of past work, resume, and the strength and originality of concept.

The Columbia City Gallery is pleased to announce a Call for Entries for its 16th Annual Juried Exhibit. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. First place will be on the poster of the show. All selected artists will receive a digital award certificate. This is an open subject competition. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. 

Texas Photographic Society is proud to announce the call for entry for our flagship exhibition, TPS 31: The International Competition, juried by Charlotte Cotton, distinguished curator (Victoria and Albert Museum, LACMA, California Museum of Photography), writer (The Photograph as Contemporary Art, Photography is Magic), and currently Artistic Director of Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar. Off Island: Work must be received by Friday, July 28. Artists are financially responsible for shipping to and from Wailoa Center. Packages MUST include a prepaid return label as well as a $10 handling fee per artwork. Juror: Ming Li Jiang

Ming Li Jiang was born in Shanghai, China and graduated from Fine Arts College of Shanghai University where he became an instructor upon graduation. In 1986, he was selected to be one of the jurors for the first Young Artist’s Art Exhibition of Shanghai. He moved to Hawai’i in 1989 and established his own design company Kalama Collection LTD in 2000.

In 2019, Jiang returned to Shanghai for a solo exhibition in the Museum of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts (Shanghai University). He has won numerous awards in the US, including 1st place and Juror's Choice at the Abstract Only! Exhibition at the Wailoa Center and had 2 works purchased by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. He had a solo exhibition at the Kahilu Theatre’s Hamakua Gallery in 2022.
