Art@Climate 2030 is an art competition that encourages artists to explore the issue of climate change and its impact on the environment and people. The competition is open to all artists from around the world and will be judged by a panel of experts in the field of art and climate change. A professional jury will select 10 winners from the 50 entries that make it to the finals after public voting. No entry fee. A short description about the artist and the artwork will be displayed together with a QR time on the competition’s digital voting platform. This will run from 15 May until 15 August. During June, we will exhibit 30-50 of the entries, which we believe represent the theme of the competition well, in Gothenburg. The exact location of the exhibition will be announced before the event. Between 15 August and 1 September, a professional jury will be tasked with selecting 10 winners from the 50 entries that made it to the finals during the public vote on the platform. The final winners will be informed by us at the end of August and will be invited to a ceremony that will take place on 1 September.Contact: +46 722 364 401.

Online Art Competition to be open for entries from April 24h,2023 to May 21st, 2023. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. The “ALL Landscape” theme is any art which depicts the natural world, outdoor scenery, geographical environments, and related landscape subjects. However, Water and Sky should not exceed 1/3 of the image. An exhibition of all entrants will be held online from May 24th,2023 to June 20th, 2023. The PleinAir Salon Art Competition is a monthly online art competition that awards over $50,000 each year. There is $2,050 in Cash Prizes awarded each month, and $22,000 awarded at the Annual Competition each May. Each of the 23 monthly winners are included in the judging for the 13th Annual PleinAir Salon where we award the Grand Prize winner a check for $15,000 and feature their painting on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. The Annual Awards will be presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo in May 2024.
Because this competition is created by PleinAir magazine, which features not only plein air paintings, but also studio paintings, all types of paintings are eligible and do not need to have been completed in plein air. As we know, many studio paintings start with plein air sketches, and many plein air painters paint figures and still life. Our interest is in rewarding great paintings.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography depicting lines, shapes & objects. Lines & shapes are two of the seven elements of art and together they allow artists to create objects. How these elements are used affects the composition and overall outcome of an artwork.

Franklin Furnace Archive, Inc. announces the new $10,000 award for avant-garde artists, ‘The 2023 XENO PRIZE for Artists’ Books’.
In pursuit of its mission to present, preserve, interpret, educate, and advocate on behalf of avant-garde art, especially forms that may be vulnerable due to institutional neglect, cultural bias, their ephemeral nature, or politically unpopular content, Franklin Furnace announces its new 2023 XENO PRIZE for Performance Art and Artists’ Books, named in honor of xenophiles, people who appreciate all people and cultures.
The XENO PRIZE for Artists’ Books will be selected from submissions to a Call for Proposals for a cash grant of $5000 to publish an artists’ book on the topic of book banning/burning in an edition of at least 120 copies.
Franklin Furnace will make three copies of the book freely available to the public via its Artists’ Books Collection, and will give one copy to the Library of Congress, each of the 50 State Libraries in the United States of America, and Pratt Institute Libraries. The artist maintains copyright and freedom to distribute additional copies

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award 2023 is open to architects, designers and makers worldwide.
The Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award aims to celebrate and promote the role of drawing within architecture, design and making processes. It is a special category within the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize exhibition and has a separate Entry Process and Selection Panel.
This Working Drawing Award of aims to explore the role of drawing in design and making processes today and to expand and enhance our knowledge and understanding of working drawings – drawings from which something can or will be made, fabricated or constructed. It is anticipated that architects, designers, engineers, makers, planners, scientists, amongst others, who use drawings to ideate, plan and communicate designs will submit their drawings.
This award of £2,000 is open for drawings by architects, designers and makers. It will be selected by Ben Heath, Principal, Grimshaw Architects; Debbie Hillyerd, Senior Director of Learning, Hauser & Wirth; Michael Pavelka, Costume & Set Designer for Stage, Screen, and Opera.
Up to three drawings may be registered by each applicant for consideration by the Working Drawing Award Selection Panel.
The selected working drawings will form a special display as part of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2023 exhibition from 28 September to 15 October 2023 which will then tour to venues in the UK until June 2024, and will be included in a fully illustrated exhibition publication.
The Call for Entries is open to all drawing practitioners worldwide, whether they are emerging, mid-career or established.

The juror for 2023, Jennifer Spelman, is a documentary photographer and member of the Jibaro Photos Collective. She is co-publisher of CubaSeen, a quarterly magazine showcasing photography and writing about Cuba.
Jennifer received her photographic training as an assistant with the Santa Fe Workshops, working with some of today’s most preeminent photographers: Jay Maisel, Norman Mauskopf and Joe McNally.
A sensitive photographer of people, Jennifer strives to create portraits with energy and insight. She is most at home on the streets of Havana and has worked across Cuba since 2011. Jennifer is a patient educator who has co- instructed with National Geographic Expeditions and taught workshops in Morocco, Turkey, Romania, India, Mexico and Japan, in addition to Cuba.

He won First Place in the Landscape Category at the Academy’s Annual Spring Show. Galleries in Philadelphia, Laguna Beach and San Francisco quickly picked him up. Since that time, Mr. Yeskel has been in over a dozen solo shows, countless group exhibitions and has been featured in over 20 magazine and newspaper editorials. His work is held in prestigious corporate collections including Microsoft and NBC/Universal. He currently teaches an Abstract Workshop at the Kline Academy in West Los Angeles and resides with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles.

The Public Art Commission of Salida (PAC) in tandem with the City of Salida invites artists to apply for a call of a visual art piece in a pre-determined outdoor space in late-Fall 2023. The PAC is looking for a 3-D outdoor sculpture/work/installation that is contemporary and can be viewable from a distance. The selected artist’s or artist-lead team’s work will be installed in an outdoor location near a multi-use trail at an entrance to the downtown business sector and the Creative Arts District adjacent to an urban skate park and downtown section of Highway 291.
The enhancement of this public place by integrating the creative work of artists improves the pedestrian experience and acts as a “gateway” into the heart of Salida. Ideally, the considered concept should be considered a “landmark” that can be associated with Salida, one that will draw attention and encourage engagement. Artists/artist teams will be selected based on artistic excellence and demonstration of skill and quality craftsmanship conveyed in examples of past work, resume, and the strength and originality of concept.

The Columbia City Gallery is pleased to announce a Call for Entries for its 16th Annual Juried Exhibit. Jurors for the exhibit are Inye Wokoma, artist, filmmaker, journalist, and co-founder of Wa Na Wari; Hanako O'Leary, Artist; and Tommy Gregory, artist/curator, Senior Art Program Manager for Public Art/Port of Seattle. The exhibit will run from August 9 - September 24, 2022.
Artists in all media (2D, 3D) are encouraged to submit artwork completed within the past two years that reflects the theme, Heroes and Villains. Awards: $500 First place submission; $300 Second place submission; and $200 Third place submission.
For a $25 entry fee, you may submit up to 3 pieces of artwork for consideration. We are accepting entries via Café (callforentry.org). You may upload 1 images of all 2D artworks and/or up to 3 images for 3D artworks. The entry fee can be paid online through Cafe. Your entry is not complete until payment is received.
The theme of this exhibit is "Heroes and Villains," inviting visitors to explore the multifaceted nature of iconic figures, histories, and personal stories. The exhibition showcases the intricate interplay between good and evil, challenging conventional perceptions and evoking introspection. The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2023 Exhibition: The Selection Panel will choose drawings from those submitted for an exhibition to be held at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London from 28 September to 15 October 2023 which will then tour to venues in the UK until June 2024. There will be a fully illustrated exhibition publication.

The PleinAir Salon Art Competition is a monthly online art competition that awards over $50,000 each year. Juror: Ming Li Jiang
Ming Li Jiang was born in Shanghai, China and graduated from Fine Arts College of Shanghai University where he became an instructor upon graduation. In 1986, he was selected to be one of the jurors for the first Young Artist’s Art Exhibition of Shanghai. He moved to Hawai’i in 1989 and established his own design company Kalama Collection LTD in 2000.
In 2019, Jiang returned to Shanghai for a solo exhibition in the Museum of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts (Shanghai University). He has won numerous awards in the US, including 1st place and Juror's Choice at the Abstract Only! Exhibition at the Wailoa Center and had 2 works purchased by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. He had a solo exhibition at the Kahilu Theatre’s Hamakua Gallery in 2022.
