The City of Mountain View’s Visual Arts Committee is inviting artists and artist teams working in a variety of media to exhibit public art in the lobby of the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts (500 Castro Street, Mountain View, CA 94041) for the 2024 season.

The rotating exhibits are approximately six to eight weeks in length and are viewed by thousands of people visiting downtown Mountain View and attending shows at Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts (MVCPA).

The County of Mercer County/New Jersey seeks to identify a pool of qualified artists or artist teams who will subsequently be invited to develop proposals to design, fabricate and install permanent site-specific public art for the New Jersey State Prison. Letters of interest and qualifications from artists are sought in this RFQ.

In particular, artists are sought to create one (1) 319 ft (long/width) x 19 ft (high/height) mural to be permanently installed on the exterior wall of the New Jersey State Prison, located at 600 Cass St., Trenton. The successful design will be colorful, dynamic, and celebratory; and will provide a vibrant, block-long visual impact for local residents and those driving along this major thoroughfare. This RFQ is open to artists/artist teams residing or working within the tri-state area (NJ, NY, CT, and PA). The estimated budget of $150,000 USD is all inclusive. The art selection process will be managed by the County’s Division of Culture & Heritage (MCDC&H).

At this very moment in our society, everything moves incredibly fast, time doesn’t seem sufficient anymore. Artists seem to find their path much harder, the ongoing changes create a need for a continuous state of transcendence, and this is reflected in contemporary art.

The aim of this exhibition is to explore the trends in contemporary art and to create a dialogue between the artists and the viewers.

Our gallery is located in the vibrant heart of the iconic Tower Bridge area in London. An elegant blend of historical richness and modern energy, our space serves as an extraordinary platform for artists and audiences alike.

Submission Guidelines:

To apply, email us three images of your work (three different pieces), each with its title, size in cm, medium, price, and a short biography of no more than 150 words. Email submissions should be sent to [email protected].

Eligible media include, but are not limited to, paintings, sculptures, photography, installations, prints, textiles, illustrations, digital art, poems, etc.

Application is free, but a £165 fee applies for each selected artist. This fee covers an extensive suite of benefits:

2024–2026 GALLERY WITHOUT WALLS

We are pleased to invite artist submissions for outdoor public display in Lake Oswego’s nationally recognized, award-winning outdoor Gallery Without Walls exhibit. In its twenty-fourth year, this program’s mission is to integrate art into the daily lives of residents and visitors to the community by presenting works from regional, national, and international artists that resonate with people of diverse backgrounds. Artwork will be displayed throughout the downtown business district for a two-year exhibition starting in the Summer of 2024.

Artists can submit completed works and proposals for new works for installation in August of 2024. We seek works of various media, including sculpture, social practice, new media, projections, and murals. We encourage proposals that engage, educate, and inspire the community. Submissions of artwork created within the last three years are highly encouraged.

The Selection Committee will choose up to fifteen artists to display. The selected artists will receive an honorarium award of $1000. Selected artists are also eligible for an annual People’s Choice purchase award of up to $20,000 (with a 30% gallery fee).

In this exhibition, we explore the beauty and powerful expressive ability of monochrome photography. Any capture method and all processes, including black and white, alternative process and monochromatic toning, are welcome. The subject is completely up to you.

We are honored to have Henry Horenstein as juror for Monochrome. He will select up to 35 images for exhibition in our Middlebury, Vermont gallery and another 40 images for our Online Gallery. All 75 images will be reproduced in the exhibition catalog and remain permanently on our website, with links to photographer’s URL.

Introducing the 1st "Beautiful | Grotesque”, international competition and online exhibition. This competition is open to artists of all ages internationally with no restrictions on media or style. Work must pertain to the theme of “Beautiful | Grotesque”. Entry is free, only artists whose work is selected as finalists must pay the $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their work exhibited online and move on to the final round of Jurying in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000.

EXPO 43 is an international juried competition hosted by the b. j. spoke gallery in Huntington, NY. Finalist’s artwork will be exhibited virtually on the gallery website during the months of February and March, 2024, with a virtual reception and awards presentation via Zoom on February 7, 2024.

The Volunteer Photographer Program is a community outreach project of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Archive. The mission of the program is to provide documentation of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for the Foundation Archive. WATERMARKS ON YOUR IMAGES ARE NOT ALLOWED.

Festival Dates: April 25-28 and May 2-5, 2024

The residency at Jardin Rouge is open to visual artists of any nationality or age who can demonstrate a significant artistic career. The residency will last a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months. The artist may be invited back to continue his or her research on the basis of the initial project or to develop new projects in agreement with the Foundation. All the teams speak english, arabic and french. The Montresso* Art Foundation provides funding for the production of the artistic project approved by the selection committee. It will also cover transport, individual accommodation, meals, all necessary equipment and the provision of an individual workshop on the residency site.

Be transported to Hawaiʻi landscapes with the impressionistic works of Hawaiʻi's plein air painters. Sponsored by Hawai'i Island Art Alliance (HIAA) and open to all Hawai'i based artists.

No photography, reproductions or digital art will be accepted. Works must be created in a plein air style of painting and created outdoors.

This exciting residency will enable artists to develop their work in the Museum’s historic Drawing Office and engage with departments across the Museum including the archive, library, education and commercial activities.

Sir John Soane's Museum has launched the second edition of its Artist at Soane residency programme.

This extraordinary opportunity invites artists to immerse themselves in the Museum's historic Drawing Office.

Located in the heart of London, and attracting over 100,000 visitors a year, the Museum is home to the remarkable collection of Sir John Soane, renowned British architect and collector.

Artists, designers, makers and creatives working in various media are encouraged to apply, provided that drawing plays a central role in their practice.

Two artists will be hosted at the museum each year, one in Spring and one in Autumn. Residents will receive financial support and guidance throughout the residency.

Artist fee:

Artists will be contracted for a minimum of 12 days working either in the Museum or in their studio during the three month period. The artist will be engaged over a pre-agreed number of days in the Museum either working on site, taking part in public engagement or educational activity or using the research facilities.

There will be an honorarium of £2000 per artist or collaboration, to cover materials, travel and other expenses.

There will also be the possibility of an allowance for each artist on a case by case basis, to help cover accommodation, at the discretion of the Project Managers. Please note that this will not cover international artists' travel expenses or Visa application fees.

All images must be in JPEG/JPG format using CaFÉ guidelines. The image size must be 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side and 400 pixels on the shortest side. Maximum file size is 5 mb.
Accepted video formats include MOV, MP4, WMV. Aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, resolution minimum 640x480, maximum 1920 x1080, bit rate recommended above 240 kbps, recommended frame rate 30 fps. NOTIFICATION
Notification will be done by email, everyone who submits will be notified of the juror’s selections. If for any reason you do not hear from us by the notification date, please check the filters in your email account. Notification emails are sent to the email on file with CaFÉ.

SALES
All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist’s website and/or contact information. For any artwork that is sold, the artists receive 100% of the sale.

GIVING BACK
A portion of the proceeds from the entry fees is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.

Cash awards over $600 are subject to federal income tax withholding within the United States. A W-9 form must be filled out by the winner and submitted to Art Fluent, Inc.

Blue Sky established the Pacific Northwest Drawers (PNW Drawers) program in 2007 to feature a juried public archive of original prints by contemporary photographers from the Pacific Northwest region. The Abstract Image is an international open call for artists ages 18 and older. University of Utah in partnership with the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management and the Utah Division of Arts & Museums Public Art Program requests qualifications from artists and/or artist teams interested in creating site-specific artwork(s) for the new Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Seeking an artist to create an installation designed to meet the vision/mission to commemorate, honor, and celebrate local LGBTQ+ community members and allies who have had a profound, significant, and positive impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ residents of Palm Springs and the Greater Coachella Valley.

The art installation will be a visible and lasting reminder to residents and visitors of Pam Springs and the Coachella Valley of the LGBTQ+ community’s rich history of courage, spirit, and achievement. It will be designed, installed, and funded to0 serve as a beacon of community pride and as a historical reference source for future generations.

3 / 6 / 9 is a one-month pour painting group show curated by artist L.A. Pagán, taking place in February 2024 at BxArts Factory Galleries in Bronx, NY. We are currently seeking talented pour painters who specialize in at least one of the ten distinct styles of pour painting. Despite its lack of recognition in the art world, pour painting boasts a rich historical background, requiring meticulous preparation, strategic planning, specific materials, and an array of tools. The primary objective of 3 / 6 / 9 is to showcase the majority of these ten styles, serving as an enlightening platform for education. Attendees of the opening reception, artist talk, and workshops will gain invaluable insights into the diversity of pour painting techniques. If you are an accomplished pour painter who shares our passion for this art form and wishes to participate in this exhibition, we encourage you to submit your application promptly, as space is limited.

The Arts Center in Corvallis, OR annually accepts exhibition proposals from artists nationwide. TAC is currently accepting applications to exhibit in the Main and Corrine Woodman Galleries through December 31, 2023.

In accordance with Hawai‘i Revised Statute 103-8.5, the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA), Art in Public Places Program is requesting qualifications from individual artists for artwork to be featured in the Our Sea of Islands art exhibition hosted at Capitol Modern: The Hawai'i State Art Museum. Through this RFQ we intend to establish a qualified pool of professional artists for consideration.

A phrase coined by scholar and cultural practitioner Epeli Hauʻofa, “Our Sea of Islands” is an oft-quoted reference to a redirection in the perspectives of the islands in the Pacific. Rather than considering these islands as an exotic other, Hauʻofa challenged the world to see the Pacific region as a metropolis for engagement of all kinds. We consider the exhibition, Our Sea of Islands, to be one that uses engagement as the cornerstone not only for the resulting presentation of artworks, but also for the very foundation of those pieces or performances from conception to fabrication to manifestation.

CERF+’s emergency relief grants will focus on materials-based craft and folk/traditional artists that incurred significant medical expenses related to treatment and recovery from COVID-19 AND/OR experienced a recent, career-threatening emergency, such as an illness, accident, fire or climate-related disaster.

The Dayton Society of Artists (DSA) is pleased to present The Future of Female, an exhibition focused on the ideals, hopes, and experiences of women identifying artists. The call for art is open to any women identifying artists who are 18 years or older and who live, work, or attend school in the state of Ohio. All art in any medium, style, and technique will be considered. Art must be original. The juror Heather Jones and $600 will be given in prizes.

The DSA is a non-profit member-based organization. It was founded in 1938 and acquired a Victorian house in the 1960s which was then converted into a gallery. ABOUT THE JUROR
Heather Jones is an artist that uses abstraction and color to comment on matrilineal connections, the historical and socio-political relationship between women and textiles, and explores the relationship between gender, place, time, and culture in her work. Her sewn paintings and sculptures continue the story of geometric abstraction, and she is influenced by artists including Josef and Anni Albers, Mark Rothko, Ellsworth Kelly, and Carmen Herrara, but also equally by a vast group of unknown female makers from the Southern and Appalachian regions of the United States and their patchwork quilting. The subject of her work is unequivocally feminist: she chooses to work with fabric rather than paint, in reference and reverence to the fact that fiber arts were often the only type of art that women were encouraged to practice for many years throughout history. Conceptually her work focuses on the use of readymade, common material and its elevation to high art; the power of color and shape; and is an authentic connection to the past, both personally and universally. She documents the story of our current world, particularly female narratives often neglected from history. By working within the realm of geometric compositions, Jones creates a universal visual language to tell these stories, using textiles as a reference to issues of domesticity and women’s work.

Jones is represented by Contemporary Art Matters, Columbus, Ohio; the George Gallery, Charleston, South Carolina; Moremen Gallery, Louisville, Kentucky; and has work available though David Richard Gallery, New York, NY. She was selected as an artist-in-residence for Kehinde Wiley’s inaugural class at Black Rock Senegal, and worked there in October 2019. Jones’ solo exhibition, Storytellers, opened in February 2022 at the Contemporary Dayton (Ohio), one of three concurrent solo exhibitions featuring the work of Jones, Odili Donald Odita, and Jeffrey Gibson. She also had her first solo exhibit in New York City at David Richard Gallery that opened in February 2022. Jones is currently an artist-in-residence at Silver Art Projects in New York City.

ENTRY FEES
• Non-members - $15 each piece for up to three pieces.
• Pay online by card when you submit your work.

REQUIREMENTS
• Artwork must be no larger than 48”x48”x48”
• Artwork must be professionally presented, framing is encouraged, but not required. 2D work must be ready to hang with wiring on back. DSA is open to other installation methods, but they must be pre-approved.
• 3D artwork must fit on a pedestal that has a footprint of 24 x 24 inches (or smaller) or sit on the floor.
• Artwork must have been created in the past 3 years.
• Please have a brief statement prepared about how your work correlates to the theme of female ideals, hopes, and experiences.
There will be room on your entry form to include it.
• Artwork must be labelled with artist name, title, and e-mail.
• Artwork must not have been exhibited before at the DSA or virtually through the DSA.
• Artwork may not be picked up before the close of the show.
• Accepted work that differs significantly from submitted image or suffers from poor presentation will be disqualified.
 
ART DELIVERY / RETURN
• Artists maintain responsibility for insuring fine artwork during shipment and/or travel (including U.S. mail delivery) to the DSA. The DSA will acknowledge receipt of work when physically received by appropriate DSA personnel.
• All work selected for the exhibition must arrive ready to install. Works not gallery-ready, or not exhibiting good craftsmanship, may be omitted from the exhibit. Accepted work that differs significantly from the submitted images, or suffers from poor presentation, will be disqualified. Works must be hand delivered or shipped. Exhibited work will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Works not claimed within 30 days of the end of the exhibit will become the property of the DSA.
• Shipped Works: Shipped works must be sent in reusable packaging. Artists are responsible for return shipping costs and should include a return label with the shipped artwork or emailed to the director by the close of the show. Works will be returned in the same manner as received by FEDEX/UPS/USPS. Artwork must be received before Sat, January 20st and will be shipped out the week of March 25th.
• In-Person Delivery: Works will be returned in the same manner as received.

LIABILITY & SALES
• The DSA has fine art insurance for work physically inside the gallery. Artists maintain responsibility of insuring work during shipment and travel. Damage caused by the failure of the work itself is not covered. If work has an insurance price of over $500, then any insurance claim must be accompanied by documentation of past sales and/or a professional 3rd party appraisal.
• Please note: DSA does not have constant climate control in its galleries.
• DSA takes NO COMMISSION on sales but donations are welcome. Please price work accordingly or as -Not for Sale-. Do not include shipping in the price of the piece. After sales are completed, the artist will be responsible for coordinating with purchaser to deliver/ship work. Artists may use the High Street Gallery as a meeting point. Donations are always appreciated and help support future programming.

AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE
Submitting indicates that you agree with the conditions of entry and exhibit as outlined in these guidelines, and that you agree to make your work available and will ship/deliver it to the gallery should it be selected for exhibit. The DSA may use submitted images and artwork in print and/or digital marketing materials.

Rising Star Fellowship is a fellowship program run by Etcheve to support upcoming artists. Rising artists can use NFT technology to connect better with their fans and build stronger ties with the community.

Our goal is to work with 100 upcoming artists to help them gain more exposure and create a new passive income for them through NFT. We encourage creators from various mediums and regions to apply.

The Shawn Lang Memorial Task Force is seeking artist qualifications to create the CT AIDS Memorial monument. The Task Force is named after Shawn Lang, a longtime CT advocate who spent her life fighting injustices.

This monument will serve as a reminder of Shawn Lang’s brand of soul force, the force of love, the force “of resistance.” At rallies at the State Capitol, she would often point to the building and state, “This is your house!” and as crowds left she’d challenge them to “Go out and change the world.”

This public art should serve as motivation for the justice work ahead. It will be a piece that encourages our souls to be stirred as we step into the arena, and into the complex work of confronting the racial/social/political inequities in CT. It is public art for justice.

The CT AIDS Memorial will be an outdoor public art installation that is incorporated within the landscape detailed below. It will be an “evergreen” installation that may include seating features and other interactive elements. The CT AIDS Memorial is meant to be an historic marker to those who have died of AIDS as well as those who continue to live with and work to eliminate HIV. The memorial will be engaging, intentional, empowering, hopeful and an opportunity for meaningful conversation.

The Soirée is a signature arts festival that electrifies the streets of downtown Anderson, South Carolina! The 2024 Soirée will continue the same standard of excellence with a focus on visual, culinary, and performing arts.  

This community-led festival, hosted by the City of Anderson, will provide an entertaining two-day cultural experience attracting visitors from near and far.  
Known for its hospitality, the Soirée Committee will provide participating artists with convenient set-up, parking, and security.   

The Soirée is coordinated by the City of Anderson with artistic guidance from the Anderson Arts Center and support from community volunteers. Any proceeds realized will be used to subsidize production of this annual arts festival, as well as to provide funding for new art initiatives in Anderson.

Calling all women-identifing artists, activists and creatives to take part in a virtual exhibition and publication on the effects of forced and voluntary migration!

The Starving Artist invites women-identifying artists to share their work on the impact of migration. This exhibit aims to depict the internal displacement and lived-in experiences behind migration through a gendered lens.

We believe in free and inclusive access for all artists! Global submissions are welcomed.

Established as part of Lee Krasner’s legacy, the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant was set up to support and strengthen the creative lives of artists. A competitive grant for artists with extensive exhibition records, this grant has a long list of impressive alumni. Since its start in 1985, the foundation has granted over 65 million dollars in award money to artists in over 77 countries.
