Suwanee Fine Arts Festival

The Suwanee Fine Arts Festival is a two-day outdoor celebration of the arts in the award winning Suwanee Town Center Park. Visitors will find themselves surrounded by all types of artists of diverse fine art and original disciplines, including painting, drawing, clay, photography, fine jewelry, sculpture, metal, leather and more. Organized by the North Gwinnett Arts Association, with a 10-year history of running the successful springtime Arts in the Park, this festival is now a two day fall festival with a focus on high quality, fine art.

"Primary Colors" Online Art Competition

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery encourages artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field to send the gallery their best interpretation of the theme “Primary Colors”. Any subject matter and any media are acceptable in this open theme competition, as long as the colors in the artwork are at least one or more of the three primary colors – Red, Blue &/or Yellow.

Fusion Art invites submissions for the Lines, Shapes & Objects art competition. For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography depicting lines, shapes & objects. Publication Opportunity for Emerging Artists

Friend of the Artist is a quarterly book dedicated to elevating the work of emerging artists around the world. Our publication releases in a hardcover art book every quarter and includes the work of artists who work in a variety of mediums, informative articles, and interviews. Accepted artists will have a four-page spread of their work, information, and artist statement.

“SEE CHANGE” Call for Socially Engaged Artists

Understanding that we need to adapt to the impacts of climate change, we also recognize the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that accelerate climate change and resulting impacts like sea level rise. Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica, CA, seeks socially engaged artists to create site-specific community engaged public art reflecting on sea level rise, to support the community to civilly engage in authentic conversations.

Fusion Art is now accepting entries for the 7th Artist Spotlight Solo Art Competition. Artist Spotlight highlights individual artists who have an overall body of work to showcase. From this competition Fusion Art will select up to 12 winning artists – four traditional artists, four digital & photography artists and four 3-dimensional artists (if the gallery has received 3-dimensional entries) for individual month-long solo art exhibitions on the Fusion Art website starting in August 2019.

“Music” Exhibition

Art JuXtapose presents the thematic exhibition: Music. This theme incorporates artwork that is inspired by music: sound, making tone visible, music culture, your personal connection between art and music. Explore what art and music have in common. Animalia Exhibit

Kingdom Animalia includes over 7 million species of both living and extinct creatures. Every animal is a member of the Animalia kingdom, ranging from the smallest at 0.0003 inches, to the largest, up to 110 feet. The Animal Kingdom is about as diverse as it gets. Our relationship with Kingdom Animalia is anything but simple. This show welcomes animals of all shapes, sizes, and mediums.

Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is now accepting entries of photographic based images or projects for their On The Verge exhibition, highlighting beginning and early career photographic artists.

Airport Show 2019

Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is now taking submissions for our annual Airport Show. Juror Amy Miller will select 30 photographs to exhibit in the central atrium of the world’s busiest airport: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). ATL has an average of 260,000 visitors a day, making this an opportunity to have your photographs seen by literally millions of travelers from all over the world.

Identity – Portrait Competition

SquidInk Gallery presents “Identity,” an online portrait competition. Explore the portrait and make it more. Who is this person we are looking at? What are they like? What do they do? Help us to imagine what it would be like to have a conversation with this person. Give context clues in the details, background, clothing or use of mediums. Be expressive and show us your style and interpretation of the human image. They will be looking for portraits that focus on the identity of the individual.

39th Faber Birren Color Award Show

This is an annual national juried exhibit which honors Faber Birren, renowned color theorist and author. It is the only artistic event devoted to color only. The juror is Dr. Meredith A. Brown, Curatorial Research Associate in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Modern and Contemporary Art Department. Over $2500 will be awarded.

The Blueproject Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Barcelona whose main aim is to support and promote national and international artistic creation. This call is open to any artist interested as an individual or on behalf of a group or company, regardless their age, nationality or creative discipline. 3 projects of exhibition will be chosen as a final result (with a maximum of eight weeks) and 3 projects of performance (for at least one public presentation).

Swansea: Creativity Fellowships 2019-2020

The Cultural Institute at Swansea University is offering two Creativity Fellowships for professional artists of any practice/medium to create a new work inspired by cutting-edge academic research at the university. The Creativity Fellows will each engage with a specific research project, collaborating with the lead academic and their team to create a new work of art to be delivered, performed/exhibited in the December following the fellowship period.

Art-hotel Panorama in Pyrgadikia will organize an artist-in-residence program in its premises with the theme “Histoires.” The aim of our program is to get artists, who are interested in the landscape of Halkidiki and in Greek culture, in touch with these, and to give them the opportunity to produce work based on their perceptions and impressions during the residency period.

Art Quarter Budapest’s International Artist-in-Residence Program

Art Quarter Budapest offers varied services to integrate their residents into the local art scene and assist in establishing professional connections that best support their work and career. AQB personnel provide assistance through the program, catering to practical needs related to life in Budapest, to obtaining the necessary materials, equipment and more. All entering participants are offered a fully furnished room within a communal apartment located on the AQB premises, as well as a studio space catering to the project’s requirements.

2020 Branscombe House Artist-in-Residence Program

The City of Richmond invites professional, community-engaged artists to submit proposals for an 11-month, live-in residency located in Richmond, BC. We are seeking proposals for interesting new projects and programs that promote meaningful community engagement through artistic opportunities. Artists who are passionate about working with diverse communities are especially encouraged to apply.

The Wilds of Venice: Creative Entrepreneurship & Contemporary Art with the Jealous Curator

In an exciting partnership with the European Cultural Academy, The Wild Residency invites artists and creatives from all fields and backgrounds for a unique education behind the scenes of the world’s oldest and most prestigious art fair. This intensive two week course in collaboration with Danielle Krysa, aka The Jealous Curator, is set within the context of the 58th Biennalé Arté, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

The Residencia Corazón - Artist in Residency Program

The Residencia Corazón - Artist in Residency Program’s main objective engenders the creation of a personalized and independent exchange among regional, national and international artists. It allows for mutual enrichment through professional and emotive approaches for new experiences and aesthetic realities. The resident / visiting artists enjoy a dynamic and vibrant time frame for working; they have a studio and living space at their disposal to complete their projects. They also network with and within the local art community, cultural institutions and the public at large.

Artist-in-Residence: New Mexico

This short-term, self-directed residency program is being offered by Annex: art in cooperation with Art Oasis San Fidel, located in beautiful Cibola County about 45 minutes west of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Residencies for this program are available for a minimum of 2 weeks, with a maximum of 8 weeks.

WHO: International artists must be 21 years old to participate and eligible to travel to and stay in the United States for the period of his/her residency. Priority is given to self-taught and emerging artists.

DATES: 2 weeks to 2 months during May 15 – August 31 (annually)

Artist Grants:

$500 Grant for Visual Artists

Artist Grant provides a grant to one visual artist each grant cycle. Visual artists working in the following media may apply: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture (of any type of material), ceramics, mixed/multiple medias, installation, and other new or alternative media.

AMOUNT: $500 each cycle

Awesome Foundation Grant

A micro-granting organization, funding “awesome” ideas, The Awesome Foundation set up local chapters around the world to provide rolling grants of $1000 to “awesome projects.” Each chapter defines what is “awesome” for their local community, but most include arts initiative and public or social practice art projects.

WHO: Anyone is eligible for a grant — individuals, groups, and organizations alike.

FIELD: Any Field. Each chapter has their own requirements, most consider arts projects.
