Foundwork Artist Prize
The Foundwork Artist Prize is an unrestricted $10,000 juried grant to be awarded in October, 2019 to an outstanding US-based artist chosen on Foundwork, a new platform connecting artists and collaborators across the global contemporary art community. The winner will also receive a studio visit with each of the five jurors to cultivate a dialogue around the winner’s practice. In addition, two runners up will each receive free lifetime accounts on Foundwork.

Innovate Grant – Summer Call for Artists & Photographers
Innovate Grant is now accepting submissions for Summer 2019! Innovate Grant awards (2) $550.00 grants each quarter, to one visual artist and one photographer. In addition to receiving a grant award, winners will be featured and recognized on their website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists.

John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellowships
The Foundation offers Fellowships to further the development of scholars and artists by assisting them to engage in research in any field of knowledge and creation in any of the arts, under the freest possible conditions.

3rd Annual Skies Art Competition
For this competition, both 2D & 3D artists are encouraged to submit their best art and photography depicting the sky. The theme includes any depiction of the skies, including clouds, rainbows, aurorae, lightning, precipitation and storms, stars, planets, moon, celestial events, the night sky, the day sky, dusk and dawn - just as long as the sky is the primary focus.

Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht, meaning the “Night of Broken Glass” occurred in Germany, Nov. 9 & 10, 1938. Kristallnacht owes its name to the shards of shattered glass that lined German streets in the wake of the Nazis’s who had torched synagogues, vandalized Jewish homes, schools and businesses destroyed during the violence. It also marked the turning point from Jewish oppression by the Nazis to the violence and destruction of the Jewish European population. This exhibit is about standing up to oppression of any kind – religious, gender, age, race, or ethnicity.

Lower East Side Printshop, NY, offers emerging artists FREE year-long studio residencies to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. Printmaking facilities are available for intaglio, relief, monotype, water-based silkscreen, digital processes, and other techniques that employ the tools at hand. Keyholders work independently in the Printshop’s shared Artists’ Studio and have access to a vibrant community of peers.

Revisiting the Roaring Twenties: Art, Culture and the Ecole de Paris
The idea of this residency is to revisit and develop the open and creative energy of the 1920s as well as the spirit of solidarity and unity that allowed arts community to thrive in the heart of France and of Europe during this politically and socially strained war-torn period. During the residency period, artists will exchange ideas with their fellow residents from other countries, participate in relevant professional development events and showcase their work.

OBRAS-Holland
OBRAS-Holland offers (emerging) professional artists an inspiring residency in a spacious mansion in which one or two artists live and work largely on their own. It is located at the edge of a pleasant village surrounded by nature, with good connections to bigger cities. Several museums and other cultural highlights are in the direct surroundings (doable with an easy bike ride).

GlogauAIR Multidisciplinary Residency in Berlin
Centered on principles of exploration, creation, and exhibition, the residency program offers the use of a studio space in a historic building in Berlin and a base in Kreuzberg from which to explore and discover the creative side of the city. Production is a key component of a residency at GlogauAIR, and all residents are expected to come prepared with a specific project and to concentrate their time on executing it during their residency.

Solo Artist Residency in London
Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop is offering one artist access for three months to one of its spectacular 350 square foot studio spaces for free, with both natural and professional lighting. Working above the gallery space, the successful applicant has the opportunity to network with artists, curators, collectors, and the wider public whilst visiting ongoing exhibitions and events organized in the gallery.

2020 Post-Graduation Residency
The Torpedo Factory Post-Grad Residency is a competitive juried program that provides meaningful support and 3-month term solo studio space. This residency is open to recently-graduated students who earned a bachelor’s or master’s art degree from an accredited university.

2020 Golden Foundation Residency Sessions
With a greater array of materials available to artists than ever before, this is an exciting time in art history. The Golden Foundation Residency Program is specifically designed to assist the professional artist in discovering and exploring the many materials and technologies available today. Through the Golden Foundation, residents will have the unparalleled opportunity to work with dozens of unique materials and technologies.

2019 Cohort for Artist-Run Contemporary Art Education
The Other MA (TOMA) is a 12-month artist-run education model set up in 2016 to offer responsive, affordable, accessible art education to artists. TOMA is looking for 12 artists to join the program for 2019/2020. TOMA artists are makers + doers; active learners who want to be part of a community of artists working together. TOMA wants to eradicate the pupil-teacher hierarchy, choosing instead to put emphasis on learning together, failing together + succeeding as a group.
