With a prize of $3000 for the winning work, this all-abilities art prize will showcase the artistic talent of those in and around Mparntwe/Alice Springs and invite national artists to share their talent with their community.

Bindi Enterprises is known for supporting creative excellence without limits. A Social Enterprise, Bindi has been providing services to people living with disability in the Central Desert since 1978.

Can Serrat is a farmhouse located in El Bruc (Montserrat), 45 km from Barcelona. Since 1989, it has been home to one of the oldest international residency programs for artistic and literary projects in Catalonia.

The organization focuses on supporting and advising the creative process through individual and collective gatherings, and an extensive professional cultural network. The house can accommodate up to 35 people from various countries and disciplines, allowing for a multitude of enriching exchanges.

Can Serrat receives support from the Generalitat de Catalunya, and is a member of both Xarxaprod, a network of artistic production centers in Catalonia, and TAV-CC.

The Swedenborg Film Festival 2024 (SFF2024) invites entries of new films of 20 minutes or less from emerging and established independent filmmakers. Now a landmark event in the UK film calendar, the SFF has received a huge response from thousands of filmmakers around the world and has gained a reputation for the quality and diversity of its programming.

In an expanded award format, prizes will be presented in several categories. There will also be a special 'public vote' award. Shortlisted films will be shown alongside invited screenings from established filmmakers.

The SFF supports all genres and encourages submissions that draw upon the diverse and radical traditions influenced by Emanuel Swedenborg (1688–1772). Artists, writers and filmmakers influenced by Swedenborg include William Blake, Charles Baudelaire, Hilma af Klint, Jorge Luis Borges, Ingmar Bergman and many others. Films featured previously in the SFF have explored ideas of transcendence and symbolism, and themes have ranged from social reform to psychogeography.

Shortlisted films for SFF2024 will be screened during a live event on December 7, where winners will be selected and announced by our guest judges. This year, in a change of location, the event venue for the screening of shortlisted films will be the Zilkha Auditorium at the Whitechapel Gallery. In addition to this the films will be available to watch online and open to a public vote.

The Kentucky Museum invites artists to submit up to three works to Equal Temperament, a national juried art show to be hosted at the museum from July 2025 to April 2026. The show is produced in partnership with The Society for Inclusive Blacksmiths, WKU Department of Art & Design, and WKU Deparment of Music, and sponsored by the WKU Office of Research and Creative Activity.

Equal Temperament highlights the inclusivity of modern metalworking in a juried art show, accompanied by a variety of interpretive programming to showcase metal’s links with other artistic and historical forms. The show invites artists to submit works inspired by or including metalworking or forging that safely fit within a USPS Flat Rate Shipping Box. The works will be juried by an independent panel and showcased at the Kentucky Museum during a 10-month exhibition from July 2025 to April 2026.

OVERVIEW

The Regional Artist-in-Residence program at Contemporary Craft will allow artists at any stage of their career and living within a 100 mile radius of Pittsburgh, PA, free access to fully equipped studios, CC staff support, and the opportunity to interface with the public while creating a body of work. The regional residencies are 3 months long. In exchange for the free usage of Contemporary Craft’s state of the art studio space as well as a monthly materials stipend, the artist in residence will be asked to engage with the public while working in the studio.

ELIGIBILITY

The ideal candidate will work in a craft medium that our studios can support, such as metalsmithing, jewelry, fibers, encaustics, paper and book arts, or small ceramics. They would have experience in a studio setting with knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.

The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure and recognition to artists. The awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose.

Each year, an open-call application is made available in each of the seven active partner cities. Supporting artists equitably is a critical part of the Artadia Award process: we consider the unique populations of each community and are proud to reflect our country’s diversity with an Awardee pool that is over 50 percent female and over 40 percent persons of color.

In addition to financial support, Awardees can participate in the Artadia Network to receive structured opportunities for valuable new connections and resource sharing as well as receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia’s online Artist Registry. Connections fostered by Artadia have facilitated major steps in Awardees’ careers, such as inclusion in prominent exhibitions (e.g. five Awardees were featured in the 2017 Whitney Biennial, and six in 2019).

The Fellowship Program supports a diverse range of cultural producers working at the forefront of their creative fields. Fellowships last six weeks, take place year-round, and provide fellows with housing, meals, studio space, and $1,750 in financial support.

While in residence, fellows are primarily focused on their work but are also asked to participate in two events—an Artist Talk and an Open Studio—that mark the beginning and end of the fellowship. Due to the small and intimate nature of the program, participants have the opportunity to get to know one another, fostering conversation, critique, and collaboration.

Midwest Memory is an initiative to fund new monuments that celebrate and preserve diverse stories, prioritize the inclusion of voices and experiences of BIPOC communities, and support rural BIPOC and other practitioners in the rural Midwest.

Eight communities will be selected. These communities must have an existing monument or memorial project or challenge for which they need additional support to take their project to the next level. Midwest Memory will grant $100,000 to each of the selected communities, plus an additional $10,000 in funding for cultural advisors.

Grantees will receive training and support, technical assistance, and connections with other grantees.

These projects will prioritize public memory through research and storytelling, addressing systemic inequities and advancing racial justice and Indigenous visibility.

The Alaska Triennial is organized by the Anchorage Museum. The Triennial celebrates place through the lens of contemporary art with new works submitted by Alaska artists. Individual artists are encouraged to submit works in a variety of media, including performance, writing, and sound. The 2025 Alaska Triennial will be juried by Mary Bradshaw, Director of Visual Arts at the Yukon Arts Centre.

The Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency (EMAR) program by Collar Works is designed to provide emerging, underrepresented, and established artists an immersive, supportive, productive, and communal atmosphere for art-making and dialogue on a bucolic 77-acre farm in Granville, NY. The summer residency offers 2 and 4-week residencies for individual artists and 1-week residencies for families.

The Augusta Sculpture Trail

The Greater Augusta Arts Council, as the public art agency for the City of Augusta, Georgia, is seeking ten (10) leasable, pre-existing, outdoor sculptures to be installed for two years in Downtown Augusta, GA for the Augusta Sculpture Trail.

This will be a temporary (2 year) installation in Downtown Augusta. All of the ten (10) sculpture sites will have a 4’x4’ concrete base, and are fully accessible. The sites are spaced in a manner to promote walking from one sculpture to another, creating a trail to follow. Other public art installations already in place will augment the walking tour experience.

​All works will be heavily promoted as an arts destination attraction with online, printed, radio and TV ads. A digital walking tour will be created and all artists will be requested to submit content to be placed in that online platform. We will regularly bring public attention to the Augusta Sculpture Trail through in-person and online events. We will additionally promote the availability of the sculptures for purchase.

VisArts’ Frame + Frequency is an ongoing international film and video art screening series that highlights artists whose new media, experimental film, and video works explore contemporary visual culture and presents an intimate panorama of the variety and breadth of video art in artistic practice today.

Frame + Frequency features a diverse group of artists representing multigenerational and cultural backgrounds, nationalities, and personal histories, while demonstrating the artists’ impressive command of video and new media technologies.

About The Prize
The Bennett Prize is a stipend/grant-in-aid program established by American art collectors Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt to support the fine art practice of a woman painter working in figurative realism. The Bennett Prize, administered by The Pittsburgh Foundation, is awarded biennially and provides $25,000 annually over two consecutive years to the winning artist ($50,000 total). Ten (10) finalists will be selected to participate in a traveling exhibition organized by the Muskegon Museum of Art (MMA) and the winner will be showcased in a solo exhibition at the close of her grant. A runner up award of $10,000 will be given to one additional finalist.

Project Background and Intent

The City of Grand Junction is the regional center of Western Colorado because of its location, size, and amenities. The City and County boasts a strong cultural community and rich historical heritage. Horizon Drive is the major access into Grand Junction from Interstate 70, as well as the primary transportation corridor between the Regional Airport, the University, and Downtown.

The artwork(s) should:

Provide excitement and interest for visitors and residents of the community;
Reinforce the strength and individuality of the people of this western community;
Blend the cultural heritage of the past with a modern acumen for the future;
Be distinctive, dynamic, unique, contemporary, and larger-than-life;

The highly anticipated Queensland Regional Art Awards (QRAAs) are Flying Arts Alliance’s annual visual arts awards for established and emerging artists living in regional Queensland. Offering Australia’s largest regional art awards prize pool of over $140,000, the QRAAs are one of Australia’s pre-eminent awards. Finalists are exhibited in Brisbane with the winning and highly commended artworks announced at a gala reception.

The theme for the 2024 QRAA is Resolution. Artists and society as a whole grapple and confront multiple viewpoints and concepts requiring resolution. Through the creative process, artists take this voyage through differing personal and social lenses to reach a meaningful resolution in their work. This reflects and is relevant to the broader journey of society.

CICA Museum invites Korean and Korean diaspora artists worldwide, as well as international artists residing in Korea, to participate in the Young Korean Artists Show 2025, publication, and interviews. Each selected artist will have a solo exhibition for a week in the gallery space (around 44m2) at the CICA Museum. The artists will be featured in the e-book series, “CICA Art Now,” which will be available via Amazon. The printed version will be available by order. Furthermore, the interviews with artists will be recorded on video and shared across various social media platforms (optional).

About the project

Interior, public-facing site. The goal of this project is to improve the Convention Center’s 2500 lobby. All semifinalist design proposals must include 2-D art for escalator barrier glass that measures approximately 224’ x 3’ and adjacent walls (see Site Details link for more information). Artwork must be created from durable materials to withstand pedestrian interaction.

2-5 semifinalist artists will be asked to advance to the RFP phase and propose 2-D designs. All semifinalist design proposals must be designed to include art for escalator barrier glass that measures approximately 224’ x 3’ and adjacent walls. Semifinalists will be paid a design proposal stipend of $1,000.

Each year the Lone Tree Arts Commission seeks to beautify the many traffic signal and utility boxes placed within the city through the selection of original designs from area artists. The selected designs will be printed on vinyl and will cover the box. A third-party design fabricator will be used to print the vinyl wraps and will be installed by the same group.

Artists are encouraged to steer away from common iconography that is already heavily used in the City of Lone Tree and explore original avenues. View Site Details for current cabinet wraps. Use of bright and vibrant colors are highly encouraged. The design should add to the vibrancy of our cityscape and create a sense of community and connection.

On behalf of Harris Health, art consultants Davis Cohen Art (DCA) invite artists to submit their qualifications for the first phase of the Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Hospital Campus - Garage Façade Project. The Art Committee will review these qualifications and select a shortlist of artists to advance to the second phase, which will involve developing project-specific designs. The design for the new parking garage at the LBJ Hospital Campus will feature a decorative screening with an iconic surface design that sets the tone for the entire campus. This monumental design will grace the facade of the multi-level parking garage, serving as a welcoming element for patients, families, community members, and staff. Please note that the technical aspects of fabricating and installing the decorative screening system are not included in the artist’s scope and will be handled by the construction team.

Prisma Art Prize is an art contest born to promote emerging painters and visual artists. The 16th edition of the Prisma Art Prize is now accepting entries. As an international platform, Prisma Art Prize aims to showcase a diverse and inclusive array of paintings, drawings, and engravings, reflecting the myriad possibilities of these mediums. An open number of finalists artists will exhibit in the collective exhibition at Contemporary Cluster in December 2024 and will be featured in the 4th year Catalogue, to be published before the opening of the exhibition.

Artists have played an important role in the formation, preservation, and enjoyment of national parks. Over a century ago, by painting landscapes of the American West, artists publicized many of the natural wonders of a land little known to an eastern populace. Their body of work helped to foster appreciation for these national wonders which ultimately resulted in the establishment of many national parks. Artist’s interpretation of park landscapes through many types of media connects people to these special places, which is an essential part of the preservation and protection of America’s national parks.

At Great Basin National Park, artists will be surrounded by the natural beauty of the park from the 13,063-foot summit of Wheeler Peak to the depths of Lehman Caves. The park offers the solitude of the wilderness and provides expansive and renowned dark-sky stargazing. The sights, sounds, and textures of the environment, along with uninterrupted time, offer a respite from typical daily life and provide inspiration for creative work.

Vermont Studio Center (VSC) was founded by artists in 1984. They welcome writers and artists for residencies in Johnson, Vermont, and host programs and events. Their mission is to provide studio residencies in an inclusive, international community, honoring creative work as the communication of spirit through form. The buildings, many of them historic Vermont landmarks, overlook the Gihon River in the northern Green Mountains.
For four decades, the residency program has offered residents and the general public an opportunity to engage with global creative communities.

The Keshet Makers Space Experience (MSE) is a cohort-based residency program in which choreographers / dancemakers have access to rehearsal space, peer movement classes, arts business workshops, and the New Mexico skies, as they explore their art form and their projects at whatever stage they might be – newly germinating ideas, final development of full productions, and/or anything in between.

Each MSE Cohort provides a unique opportunity for artists from across the country and world to gather at Keshet for a 10-day residency as they explore, move, share, and create. It is also a unique opportunity for the Albuquerque community to enjoy getting to know these amazing artists.

Letters, Numbers & Symbols explores the intersection of language, mathematics, and semiotics through the captured image. The fundamental building blocks of communication—letters, numbers, and symbols, often taken for granted, are reimagined and deconstructed in ways that challenge our perceptions and deepen our understanding of the visual and conceptual power of these basic units of meaning.

Letters, Numbers & Symbols is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. ​​​​​​​All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.

The Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and its Renwick Gallery invite applications to its premier fellowship program, the oldest and largest in the world for the study of American art. Scholars from any discipline whose research engages the art, craft, and visual culture of the United States are encouraged to apply, as are those who foreground new perspectives, materials, and methodologies. Fellowships are residential and support full-time research in the Smithsonian collections. SAAM is devoted to advancing inclusive excellence in art history and encourages candidates who identify as members of historically underrepresented groups to apply.

The Baytown Sculpture Trail continues for 2025 with a new juried exhibit of original outdoor sculptures displayed year-round in the Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) District in historic Downtown Baytown, Texas. The ACE District is a 501(c)3 organization purposed with promoting both cultural and economic expansion within the City of Baytown.

Up to twenty-five sculptures will be chosen for this exhibit. The call is open to professional and amateur sculptors of all backgrounds. The sculptures chosen to participate in the exhibit are owned by the artist and loaned to the exhibit for one year.

The Baytown Sculpture Trail is pleased to announce the call for entry for the 2025 exhibition. Our previous public art exhibitions can be found at https://baytownsculpturetrail.org/. This will be our fourth season to produce a year long exhibition of excellent public art for our community and eastern Houston metro area. The exhibition will be installed in early April 2025 and will be on display until March 2026. Each artist’s accepted artwork will receive a $1500 honorarium. Additionally we will have a Best of show award of $1,000 and a People’s Choice Award of $2,000. We will reserve a room for two nights for our accepted artists so they might attend our artist dinner followed by the opening reception event.

The 2024 Biennial Faculty and Staff Exhibition showcases the creative talents of the faculty and staff of the Mesa Community College Art Department and will be on display in the MCC Gallery from October 30, 2024 through December 12, 2024.

An opening reception for the artists and public will be held on October 30 from 5-7pm.
All eligible applications will be accepted and posted jury dates are for planning purposes only. Works in any traditional and/or alternative fine or commercial art medium, including 2D, 3D, video, audio, animation and site specific installation are welcome. The number of individual artworks displayed per artist will be determined by the gallery curatorial committee with decisions based on space availability once all applications are reviewed.

The Mary Olson Farm Artist in Residence program began in the summer of 2018. The City of Auburn program offers the opportunity for an artist to pursue their work in, and to be inspired by, the unique and beautiful setting of the Mary Olson Farm in Auburn, Washington. The residency lasts two months, providing the artist with a large indoor barn studio, a stipend, and access to the 67 acre farm.

A variety of public programming opportunities are planned in conjunction with the Artist Residency that are free and open to the public. Currently in the sixth year of the program, the City of Auburn has welcomed some very talented artists for this unique artist opportunity.

The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverages Services, in partnership with the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management and the Utah Division of Arts & Museums Public Art Program, requests qualifications from Utah artists and/or artist teams interested in creating site-specific artwork(s) for the upcoming Moab store location.

It is the intention of the Art Committee to commission new artwork from a Utah-based artist for the Moab DABS store location. The Committee has identified interior wall sites for an artist’s contribution. The Committee has a strong interest in mural work for the project, but would be open to considering other media as proposed by artists.

Conversations with Artists invites all artists to submit artwork for possible inclusion in our online group exhibition Domesticity. We are looking for artwork that addresses by the theme of home and family life.

The Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) Elevate Program aims to fund public art and placemaking installations that enhance the downtown experience for all people. Reflective of this commitment to public art and the Elevate Program goals, the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority is seeking to commission an artist or artist team to design and install a unique shade structure at the Farmers Market in Ann Arbor, MI. The DDA is open to proposals of different mediums, including fabric or rigid materials, and desires a work that is positive, balances shade and light for different times of the year, and involves color.

Nexus Art Space, in collaboration with @i.e.artprojects Online Art Foundation, is thrilled to announce an international virtual artist residency with the theme “The Body and Its Many Stories.”

Artists are invited to explore and express their relationship with their body, something inherently unique to each individual, whether through personal experiences, cultural perspectives, or imaginative interpretations. Participants are encouraged to consider the body not just as an external object of study, but as a deeply personal experience.

The residency seeks art that addresses the challenges of defining and categorizing the body while acknowledging its rich diversity. Works can explore the tension between personal experiences and broader, often simplified definitions, reflecting on the many stories that each body holds.

The Department of Art and Design at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites artists and designers to apply for a solo exhibition at the Elsie B. Rosefsky Memorial Art Gallery. The Rosefsky Gallery is a recently renovated 1,100 square foot exhibition space with 10-foot ceilings. The gallery presents an ongoing series of exhibitions, lectures, and seminars by visiting artists and notable alumni. Exhibitions will be approximately one month long, scheduled between August 2025–May 2028. All media will be considered.

The Collective Imagination for Spatial Justice grant aims to support teams that are dreaming up what public artmaking can be as we strive for more just futures for our public spaces and public culture.

A new cohort of Collective Imagination Teams will be selected to participate in a six-month imagination journey, from January through June 2025.

The City of Rancho Cordova is committed to enhancing community spaces through innovative and engaging public art. The Zinfandel Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing (ZBPO) is a key infrastructure project that will not only improve connectivity but also serve as a canvas for creative expression.

The New Emergence Art Prize 2024 offers a £1000 cash prize for the winner and a permanent feature in our online gallery for shortlisted artists. This is the sixth edition of the art prize, founded to champion and showcase living emerging artists from all backgrounds worldwide.

AUTOMAT announces a call for artworks for their 2024 Open Call exhibition, open to emerging and mid-career artists working in any medium in the Philadelphia region and beyond. This group exhibition will be curated by the Automat Collective members, and will run from December 7th 2024 - January 18th 2025. Accepted works must be available for the duration of the show.

Open calls introduce your work to their curators and present possibilities for future exhibitions even if you are not included in this group show. Automat members often review their open call records when preparing for new projects.

The Conversation Art Podcast is seeking guests for upcoming episodes of the show. The podcast has been around since 2011, and is an institution in the world of art podcasts (https://theconversationpod.com)

Artists, as well as collectors, art writers, art dealers and other art workers, are invited to submit to the Open Call to be a guest on the podcast. A minimum of three guests will be selected from the submissions, and those guests will be featured in their own episode, in the one-on-one conversational format of the show.

Each of those episodes will be made available to The Conversation's audience of several thousand listeners, as well as the general podcast-listening public, and a dedicated website for that episode will be a permanent url.

Exhibit your sculpture outdoors in downtown Lafayette, Colorado for one year. Lafayette has refined its community engagement and ability to promote the Art on the Street (AOTS) program and participating artists. They feature each sculpture on its own web page and brochures are printed in English and Spanish. If your sculpture is selected by the Public Art Committee the honorarium is $1,200 for a one year installation.

Three additional prizes are awarded each year: the $1000 Jean Mellblom Award for Artistic Excellence; the $500 People's Choice Award; and the $500 Most Inspiring! Award. = There are twenty ‘Art on the Street’ sculpture locations to fill.

Blue Space Gallery presents the 3rd "Open Theme" international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their medium and style. All subjects and themes are welcome. Established in 1975, the MAEP is one of the oldest juried art exhibitions at an American art museum. The program aims to assist emerging to mid-career artists in advancing their practice by producing or completing a body of artwork for exhibition.

The MAEP Open Calls take place every February, June, and October. One application is selected to exhibit and receive $13,500 total. Applicants are emailed a decision 6 to 8 weeks after the deadline.

Housed in the U.S. Bank Gallery at Mia, MAEP exhibitions and programs are free and open to the public.

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS is a thematic open call resulting in a physical exhibition in New York City in late January of 2025.

"THROUGH the LOOKING GLASS" isn't just about stepping into a fantastical world—it's about the journey of transformation and understanding that occurs when we dare to cross the threshold between what is known and what lies beyond. Moving through the Looking Glass refers to entering an alternate space; it suggests stepping into a place where the usual rules don't apply, and everything seems unpredictable.

Here, curiosity leads one through experiences and learning, and symbolism hints at deeper knowledge. The process of transition to a new perspective, like viewing the world from the other side of a mirror, suggests a shift in understanding or perception that reveals hidden truths or alternative viewpoints and adds nuance to what we already know.

All art media are welcome.

Wild & Tame celebrates animal friends of all shapes & sizes. Whether they be furry, scaly, slimy, living in the wilderness or in your home, depictions of animals of all descriptions are welcome.

Wild & Tame will be curated by Marissa Wegner, an multidisciplinary artist supported by Fresh Eye Arts. Marissa fell in love with mosaics when she helped install mosaic artwork at the Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary. She now creates her own mosaic pieces that celebrate her appreciation for nature. In addition to mosaics, Marissa paints and practices various fiber art mediums. Marissa says this about her art: “I like doing mosaics because I can get what’s in my mind out into the world.”

Wild & Tame will be presented alongside Yulemart, our annual holiday market.

We have a suggested fee of $10 but we consider all submissions regardless of entry free.

The City and County of Denver (City) seeks a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to commission an artist or artist team to create an original public artwork(s), for the Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation (CEEA) at Denver International Airport (DEN), as part of the Great Hall Completion Project in Denver, Colorado. A selection panel comprised of community representatives, arts and cultural professionals and civic leaders has been assembled to identify public art opportunities within the project, review applications and ultimately recommend an artist or artist team for the commission. The selection panel has identified the West Hotel Transit Center Entrance for the inclusion of public artwork(s) for the allocated total budget of approximately $800,000.00 USD.

New American Paintings sponsor six juried competitions per year. The forty winners of each competition receive a four-page, full-color spread in New American Paintings. Five of the annual competitions focus on geographic regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, West and Pacific Coast), and the sixth is only open to current Masters of Fine Arts candidates who are attending schools based in the United States, and current year graduates.

Photo Trouvée Magazine is pleased to announce an international open call for print issue 15, "The Collaborative Issue." The magazine is seeking collaborations between two or more artists who have created physical or digital artworks together, using or inspired by vintage, found, or family photographs. Artists at any stage in their careers are welcome to submit. This final issue of the year focuses on the theme of art collaboration, and submissions may include previously created or published works. Artists are also encouraged to collaborate with others from the Photo Trouvée community to create something new specifically for this issue.

The 2024 Henki Art Prize invites global artists to explore the theme "Liquid Time: Capturing the Present," focusing on capturing the fleeting moments in water's various forms. Entries are free and open to all artists around the world. Submitted artwork must be original, two-dimensional artwork created within the last five years. The winner receives $500, while other finalists receive $125. Selected works will be showcased in an online exhibition and featured on Henki Art's platforms. The entry deadline is October 31, 2024.

The 14th Annual PleinAir Salon is an online art competition open to a range of mediums and styles, not limited to plein air painting. Each month, top master artists, museum directors, and gallery owners judge the entries. Monthly winners automatically qualify for the Annual Competition, where the Grand Prize is $15,000 and a feature on the cover of PleinAir Magazine.

The Edward F. Albee Foundation serves writers and visual artists from all walks of life by providing time and space in which to work without disturbance. Using only talent and need as criteria for selection, the Foundation invites all artists to apply. The Center is open almost year-round and can comfortably accommodate up to four creative individuals at a time. Residencies are for calendar-month periods, with rare, pre-approved exceptions. The standards for admission are simply talent and need, and there is no cost to apply or to stay. Writers and visual artists are offered individual en-suite bedrooms and separate working studios. Residents are responsible for their own food, travel, and other expenses. The environment is simple and communal, and residents are expected to contribute to maintaining the condition of "The Barn" as well as its peaceful atmosphere.
