This is one of the four covered bridges close together in Northfield Vermont. While two of them have difficult access to view and paint, this one has the nicest calm water below the bridge setting up for the beautiful reflection you see here. The title refers to the literal reflection of the bridge in water, and the sentiment that scenes like this spur. It raises thoughts of what these bridges mean to the character of Vermont, and how vital they are to the definition of what it's like to live here. Admired for their beauty, covered bridges are also engineering marvels, and a reflection (again) of the durability and resolve of these structures as well as the people who live here.
