My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageThe title Accretion refers to the gradual, repetitive accumulation of form and meaning over time. Rooted in minimalist aesthetics, the work relies on restrained materials—paper, light, and line—repeatedly cut, patched, and layered to create quiet complexity. Light seeps through the strata within each individual frame, revealing glimpses of an interior that contrasts with the controlled exterior. Accretion suggests that even within minimal means, repetition builds resonance, and meaning accrues through process, repair, and time.
