My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageThe floral frame’s gentleness sharpens the work’s political edge: a dollar’s emblem floats above text describing a president seeking $230 million in taxpayer funds for investigations into his own conduct. The curled bill suggests self-dealing, turning the frame into a chamber of circular power in which public money loops back to the figure under scrutiny.
The Great Seal’s all-seeing pyramid becomes a symbol of distorted authority, its language of stewardship unsettled by the spectacle of governance collapsing into personal reimbursement and inward circulation.
