My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageFramed in layers of nostalgic wallpaper, the sealed window becomes a portrait of national neglect. The small garbage can below—stuffed with scraps labeled after endangered programs—embodies the 2025 government shutdown’s quiet violence. As the president leaves the country, social, environmental, and cultural supports are discarded. Beauty becomes a façade; policy becomes waste.
