STATEMENT: COVID gave me a whole new perspective on the word ‘confinement’. From being stuck at home, working from home, having groceries delivered to my home, to relaxing at home, Zoom calls with family & friends from home, really doing everything…at home. Like everyone else, seeing the same thing day in and day out really began to take a tole on me mentally. Getting flowers from the local grocery store became the bright spot in my day. Creating arrangements, admiring the fresh scents, colors & textures, and creating something beautiful brought the inspiration, joy, and hope back into my day. These flower arrangements led to the spark of creating by painting. Which led to the creation of Bright Spot in My Day.
